As we approach our centenary, we're embarking on bold initiatives-including the launch of a new Collective Defined Contribution pension scheme-and we're looking for an Engagement Officer to help bring these ideas to life.

Your Key Responsibilities

• Craft tailored, regulatory-compliant communications for members and employers

You will need to be/have:

• Proven background in pension scheme administration and stakeholder engagement
• Deep understanding of UK occupational pension schemes, auto-enrolment, and State pensions
• Strong writing skills with the ability to translate technical detail into member-friendly content
• Excellent project management and communication strategy experience
• Organised, numerate, and confident in data analysis and presentation

• A market rate salary of £50,000 - £55,000 per annum, plus age-related pension contributions between 8-15% of salary. We will also match any pension contributions you make up to an additional 3% of your salary.

TAG Youth Club, an award-winning charity and a youth club open to children, young people and young adults, whatever their disability. The future of CCT’s outstanding collection of historic churches depends on communities supporting their local CCT church with funds, events, inspiring interpretation, visitor services and preventive conservation. The Resource Futures Education Team has worked over the past 17 years in developing and delivering high quality Education for Sustainable Development programmes, specialising in waste issues.

Your role will be part of the education team in Devon who enable schools and young people to develop more sustainable practices and lifestyles, specifically within the areas of waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting. 

Our ideal candidate will live in or around the East Devon / Exeter / Teignbridge area, where the majority of delivery will take place, with some home working. For the successful candidate, there may be an opportunity to expand the number of hours you deliver on a short-term basis, dependent on funding opportunities.

What you will be doing

· Develop and deliver high quality education programmes in schools on the 3Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle - and composting, to include: 

o Leading workshops, assemblies and waste audits.

o Advising school staff (including senior staff, cleaners, caretakers, kitchen staff and other non-teaching staff) on educational and practical waste issues. 

o Support or lead school visits to waste management facilities such as recycling centres and energy from waste (EfW) plants. 

· Recruit schools to the programme and ensure bookings, administration and preparation are undertaken to a high standard. 

· Develop new learning and teaching materials to support the programme, including physical and e-resources. 

· Create and maintain effective relationships with Devon County Council, district councils and other relevant organisations. 

· Assist schools in the practicalities of setting up and maintaining their recycling and composting systems, in liaison with district councils. 

· Work in partnership with Devon County Council to run events, competitions and teacher training courses. 

· Develop effective and supportive relationships with primary, secondary and special schools across the Devon area. 

· Keep accurate records of work, including data on schools visited and waste audit results. 

· Monitor and evaluate the programme, including contribution towards the written annual report. 

· Liaise with other Resource Futures colleagues on project tasks, such as publicity and promotion.

· Contribute to the Recycle Devon and Zone websites, School Sustainability Bulletin and social media where required. 

· Help schools to access resources to write and implement climate action plans.

· Keep abreast of new developments and ideas in education, particularly education for sustainable development. 

· Represent Resource Futures at external meetings. 

· Identify opportunities for business development. 

· Any other tasks as deemed appropriate to this post.

The essentials

· Previous experience working in or with primary schools, or experience or training in a relevant subject or area.

Advocacy is one of three guiding principles in our 2025-2030 organisational strategy. It underpins all of our work – we advocate for a greater focus on preventing abuse before it happens, not just within the halls of parliament but through all aspects of our work from frontline practice to influencing national policy.

This role sits within the wider Advocacy and Communications Team which supports the promotion of all areas of our work across various channels: websites, social media, press and PR, marketing and digital advertising. Working with the wider team, we are striving to better showcase our advocacy work both internally and externally.

Purpose of the job

To work with Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises delivery team to oversee the administration of The Roding Rises, a three-year project supported by The National Lottery Heritage Fund that aims to kick-start the revitalisation of the River Roding. This position will work alongside Thames21’s Head of Finance and The Roding Rises Project Manager to ensure that every day finance functions for The Roding Rises project operate efficiently and accurately. To successfully deliver this job, the postholder will have a strong eye for detail and have experience in budget management/bookkeeping to ensure funding claims and invoices are paid on time. 

Main Duties and Responsibilities

Track project costs against projected budget to ensure budget vs actual expenditure is effectively managed, raising concerns early with Thames21’s head of finance and The Roding Rises project manager.

• Complete The National Lottery Heritage Fund claims process at agreed intervals to ensure an appropriate cash flow.
• Assist with relevant reporting tasks back to project funders. 

• Work with the Thames21 Head of Finance and Thames21 Finance Officer to ensure all payments are completed in a timely manner in line with internal financial processes and any outstanding payments are managed in line with the approved funding agreement/ project proposal documentation. 

• Support The Roding Rises project manager with the administration of the Roding Rises grants scheme.

• Support the development and integration of improved financial tracking and reporting processes across wider Thames21 Teams.

RNCSF (“SpringBoard”)’s vision is to provide access to a great education for young people facing some of the most complex and challenging circumstances. By harnessing the power of fully funded bursary placements and targeted outreach activities available in the UK’s state and independent boarding schools and independent day schools, we seek to transform individual young lives, and in turn we aim to create a sustained ‘ripple-effect’ of growing aspirations and achievements across under-served communities and marginalised groups.

Since 2012 we have supported more than 1,500 young people to access the life-transforming opportunities provided by fully funded bursary places, working with more than 200 participating boarding and independent schools united under the shared commitment to build more diverse, inclusive and representative school environments. We have ambitious plans to ensure that 2,000 young people are supported by our work by 2025, through extending our Department for Education sponsored work in independent day schools. 

Our strategic aims 

Our network of schools is at the heart of all that we do. We harness boarding and independent schools’ commitment to using their educational environments as an engine of social mobility, coordinating a sector-wide effort to target schools’ bursary and partnerships schemes for those who most need access to these opportunities.

We do so by: 

• Identifying children and young people facing complex and challenging home circumstances, for whom a fully funded bursary at an independent or state boarding school or an independent day school represents a life-transforming opportunity 

• Influencing schools to make available more fully funded bursary places; and matching children and young people who we identify through our programmes to the schools best suited to their needs and interests and providing support to ensure they thrive through their placements

Purpose of the role  

You will support the Head of SpringForward in managing a growing independent school- local authority partnership mentoring programme. This programme promotes partnerships between independent schools and Local Authorities that ensure that children in care can access opportunities for tailored mentoring by independent schoolteachers to help address some of their achievement and attainment gaps, and be supported to secure offers for a university or apprenticeship route on leaving school. 

Key responsibilities  

You will work with the Head of SpringForward to support successful management of day-to-day operations of the programme; including but not limited to:

• onboarding and engagement of volunteer independent schoolteacher mentors;

• liaising with school coordinators and overseeing overall school participation;

• liaising with Local Authority partners and updating on pupil engagement;

• supporting mentors in delivery of mentoring, quality assurance including monitoring of session reports, updating resources). 

You will work with Head of SpringForward to review, implement and refine impact measurement, collecting survey data and feedback, review the outcomes and supporting continuous improvement of programme design and to communicate with new schools and LAs the programme’s benefits. 

You will be held accountable for upholding the highest levels of safeguarding practice in implementation of the mentoring programme, including updating and maintaining safeguarding records for volunteers. 

You will be responsible for writing reports on progress and outcomes for the charity’s senior leadership, trustees and the wider partnership community.

About The Role

As a Grants and Learning Officer, you’ll be helping us to deliver our ambitious, nationwide grants programme. We currently support over 500 grassroots organisations and 18-30 year old creatives, and have a busy grants cycle to manage, alongside ever-increasing numbers of applications. 

This year, we’re building and migrating to a new grants database and you’ll play an integral role on the project team. In addition, you’ll manage an assigned portfolio of grants, and help with all aspects of the funding cycle. You’ll support applicants and funded partners, make funding recommendations, administer grants, provide feedback and support, and visit projects. 

About You

First and foremost, you’ll be passionate about the work that Youth Music does. As a skilled administrator, you’re not fazed by planning, monitoring, reporting, and spreadsheets. You have an eye for detail. You’ve got good IT skills and working knowledge of how databases operate. With the development of our new database this is an exciting opportunity for someone who enjoys developing processes and working with data and detail. 

You’re a collaborative worker who enjoys being part of a friendly team, as well as travelling on your own to build new relationships with a diverse range of people. As a grants manager you’ll have an instinct for what’s important – when to give advice, and when to step back.

Grant Making

• Relationship management for a diverse portfolio of grants within allocated areas or specialisms.
