FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, whilst working proactively with other professionals, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables. 

This role may include evening and weekend work when required. 

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies and group work.

• Plan, recruit and deliver group work interventions for children and young people alongside colleagues. 

• Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating. 

• Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk. 

• Proactively engage with children and young people affected by DA/SV by providing therapeutic sessions tailed to their needs in where they are in their recovery journey. 

• Risk assess and follow FearFree safety procedures to ensure personal safety and that of service users and other staff at all times. 

• Actively support carers and parents in how to support their CYP affected by trauma. This may include working together to ensure the child is support at every stage in their recovery journey. 

• Respond to emergencies and crises with a focus on the child’s wellbeing and safeguarding. 

• Provide child-centred, trauma responsive support to all your cases taking in considering different learning needs, to empower the young person to make informed choices. 

• Enable service users to participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of services. 

• Keeping the child’s voice central to all support and decision making wherever possible: taking the time to talk through and work with the individual child’s understanding around safeguarding and why we need to share certain things. 

• Act as duty officer, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota.

• Work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse and sexual violence, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.

• Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews. 

• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all. 

General 

• Live and embody the FearFree values.

• To promote the service to external agencies where applicable.   

• Give information and support to service users regarding their other needs and refer them to other support services as required.

• Ensure our service is widely accessible – adapting practice as required to suit individuals.

• Work across a large geographical area to ensure locality is not a barrier to accessing services. 

• Deliver training and information sessions to promote our service, and increase awareness and understanding of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking for victims and those who harm. 

• Have a responsibility around safeguarding of both adults and children, maintaining knowledge of appropriate policies and procedures and integrated working. 

• Support other agencies in the identification and referral of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking issues via promotion of service and institutional advocacy. 

• Ensure all referrals are clearly logged on our database and all case records are kept fully updated, according to FearFree policies and procedures. 

• Engage with case management supervision, reflective practice and clinical supervision as required, taking an active role in managing own wellbeing and supporting the wellbeing of your colleagues. 

• Support colleagues in all services across FearFree as required. 

• Support the sustainability of the organisation by participating in fundraising activities and sharing ideas and contacts for income generation 

• To engage in and contribute to effective team working with a flexible and pro-active approach, including cover for other team members’ holidays and sickness.

About the role

A key leadership position in the UK, responsible for leading a dynamic and talented team who delivers the highest standards of operational support to WaterAiders in country. Team Leadership

• Implement the annual pay award operationally ensuring accuracy, compliance, and timeliness of payment to all UK based staff.
• Implementation of a new payroll system for the UK.

Systems and Reporting

• Primary super user in the UK of HR Information System, PeoplePlace, ensuring effective and efficient use of the system. Responsible that the country's employee data is correct and in compliance with data protection.
• Drive the importance of data and people analytics and create a culture of data-based decision-making and insight across the team.
• Ownership of maintaining the monthly UK headcount establishment data with key stakeholders in Finance.
• Annual analysis and statutory reporting of the Pay Gap in the UK.

Compliance and Contract Management

• Act as the UK Team specialist on areas of HR compliance, working with 3rd parties and specialist advisors, to ensure that our policies, processes and practices are compliant and meet legal requirements.
• Responsible for data protection in the People Team, provide senior expertise and build capability across the wider people function.

Other

• Ownership of salary calculations in the event of employee termination and/or redundancy.
• Monthly payroll and pension sign off.
• Budget management and invoice approval.

Requirements

To be successful, you will need:

Functional skills

• Proven experience in leading, managing and developing a high-performing people operations team in a matrix, fast-paced organisation.
• Proven experience in managing and running in-house payroll for at least 250 staff or more.
• Excellent understanding of HR policy development; and proven experience in developing and embedding HR policies, processes and procedures that are fit for purpose.
• A qualified and robust HR Practitioner who has sound and up-to-date knowledge of employment law, tax and legislative requirements affecting a wide spectrum of HR policies and practice, i.e. payroll, pension, reward and benefits, together with their application in the context of the employee experience.
• Working knowledge and experience of HR and Payroll systems, to maximise the functionality and create efficiencies.
• Demonstrate project management capability.
• Proven experience in contract management and managing a wide range of third-party service providers.

Personal qualities

• A self-starter who is focused on delivery and execution: proactive in bringing solutions and recommendations to resolve problems and continuously improve HR practices.

Desirable capabilities

The Employer

The British Society for Haematology (BSH) is the largest UK multidisciplinary Haematology Society with over 3,000 members. Our activities include running education events and courses (including our flagship Annual Scientific Meeting held in April), producing guidelines, awarding grants, and raising the profile of haematology.

The Role

The main role of the BSH Guidelines is to provide haematologists with up-to-date advice on the diagnosis and treatment of haematological disease and on laboratory haematology practice, primarily by the production of evidence-based guidelines.

The co-ordination and commissioning of the required guidelines is administered by the Guidelines Team, overseen by the Guidelines Executive Committee; and carried out by four Task Forces, each responsible for a specialist area: blood transfusion, haemostasis & thrombosis, haemato-oncology and general haematology.  In addition, each Task Force oversees 10-14 Writing Groups, who develop BSH guidance.

The post-holder supports the Guidelines Team, including coordination of activities of the volunteer groups and supporting liaison with external groups and organisations.

As the Fundraising Officer you will play a pivotal role in growing individual giving through cash and regular donors and legacy giving for a local health charity.

This post would be suitable for someone with existing experience in a fundraising or volunteering setting, regularly interacting with donors and/or customers to provide an excellent service or experience. The charity are keen to hear from candidates with an appetite to start and grow a career in the charity sector.

This is a hybrid role with 3 days a week in the South West London office.

The charity
A collaborative, welcoming health charity, dedicated to supporting those in need of care and their families. You would be joining a passionate organisation with a tight knit and supportive working culture, who work on site with their beneficiaries.

The Role
Lead on the operational management of face-to-face regular giving recruitment.
Implement strategies to improve the acquisition of donors.
Deliver one digital cash appeal per year.
Lead the delivery of two retention communication campaigns per year.
Develop and implement automated digital journeys across IG that improve donor conversion, support income growth and reduce donor cancellations.
With support from Fundraising Assistant, ensure administration, record keeping and thanking for all IG activity is accurate and up to date.

The Candidate
Proven experience in marketing, using marketing techniques effectively to grow income and/or engagement. This could be in a charity or commercial setting.
Experience in a fundraising or volunteering setting, regularly interacting with donors and/or customers to provide an excellent service or experience.
Experience using digital media platforms (e.g. social media, canva, mailchimp)
Experience using a donor or customer database.

Overview:

Tracheo-Oesophageal Fistula Support (TOFS) is the only UK charity providing support and information to born with oesophageal atresia and/or tracheo-oesophageal fistula (OA/TOF). These rare congenital conditions can have long-lasting consequences, and our mission is to inform and empower those affected to better equip them to live long and healthy lives. We get no statutory funding, and we’re very fortunate to have an amazing fundraising community. This year to date, almost 80% of our income was from members’ fundraising, which is incredible.

We need an office and fundraising administrator who will help make every supporter feel valued, and have overall responsibility for entering all financial data into QuickBooks. A key part of the role is liaising with fundraisers and administrating and facilitating the fundraising process.

We are looking for an experienced individual, who can work with little supervision, and is able to manage workload to meet reporting deadlines. Reporting to the CEO (and with significant interaction with the volunteer Treasurer), the office and fundraising administrator undertakes a range of administration and finance tasks to support office management, financial management and fundraising, and is one of the first points of contact for our supporters and members.

The role is pivotal in ensuring that our administrative and fundraising functions run smoothly, supporting fundraisers, members, trustees and team effectively.

Knowledge of QuickBooks or a similar accounting software system is essential.

Depending on the experience and interest of the successful candidate there may be opportunities to develop other skill sets.

Key areas of responsibility

• Managing and organising detailed information that underpins TOFS financial management
• Liaising with fundraisers and administrating and facilitating the fundraising process

What you’ll be doing:

Financial management:

• Accurate recording of income and expenditure
• Reconciling bank accounts in a timely manner and preparing basic financial reports
• Preparation for accountants for year-end accounts
• Preparing annual Gift Aid claims for HMRC
• Initiating payments via online bank accounts
• Managing banking/saving relationships, maintaining efficient access and reporting
• Maintaining banking/saving mandates and ensuring record-keeping remains clear, up to date and efficient
• Contribute to board reporting through accurate financial documentation and analysis

Fundraising/member administrative support

• Dealing with fundraising enquiries, and requests for information via telephone, email and post
• Maintaining communication with fundraisers and organised fundraising documentation
• Thanking donors, and creating personalised correspondence and other communication to support fundraisers
• Assisting with member administration, updating database, preparing reports
• Maintaining stock records for merchandise, office consumables and equipment
• Dealing with daily post runs, sending out shop orders, support materials, fundraising materials and thank you letters
• Supporting with Charity Commission compliance requirements
• Supporting with TOFS events and supporter engagement opportunities
• Undertaking administrative tasks and team support

What we’re looking for:

Essential experience/knowledge:

• Experience and proficiency with QuickBooks, or similar accounting software systems such as Xero or Sage
• A good understanding of basic accounting and bookkeeping
• Hands-on experience with banking relationships, payment processing and invoice management
• Knowledge of CAF banking and payment systems
• Proficient use of MS Office, and comfortable using new fundraising platforms
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record keeping
• High level of organisation and reliability
• Experience providing administrative support as part of a busy team
• An empathic and enthusiastic communicator with a positive attitude
• Fundraising mindset with skills to recognise and encourage fundraisers
• The ability to work independently and as part of a geographically dispersed team
• Practical problem-solving approach to operational challenges
• Someone who is trustworthy and able to work on own initiative

We are recruiting for a temporary grant services coordiantor for a member body You will be the first point of contact for the grants and beneficiary-related activities of the organisation. The Role
Acting as an initial point of contact for the Grants and Services Team for beneficiaries, potential applicants, and those interested in our services. Responding promptly and advising contacts on appropriate next steps.
Advising applicants on eligibility, our processes, and application requirements.
Supporting applicants to complete application forms and provide supporting documentation. Making an initial assessment of their eligibility for support. Reviewing processes, ensuring that these promote accessibility and are straightforward for applicants and beneficiaries.
Managing the data stored on Beacon to ensure quality and consistency. Reviewing and developing data management processes.
Recording all interactions relating to beneficiaries and service users on Beacon, the charitys CRM system. Updating Beacon with notes and actions.
Providing administrative and coordination support across the range of grants and services activities delivered by the charity, new programmes and services, and the team, as well as other functions of the charity during periods of staff leave or other absences
Supporting the wider team in preparing for Grants & Services meetings, circulating the meeting papers to members. Attending meetings and recording decisions made.

The Candidate

You will be working Monday to Friday 39 hours a week usually between 09:00 to 17:18 each day.
