We are recruiting Finance Business Partners to support research teams and collaborate closely with the central finance team. In this role, you will be part of a research centre, working with budget holders and research leads to provide an effective and efficient financial service. The Person

Night Support Workers enable people with particular needs to manage their tenancies and live independent lives of their choosing in the community. Night Support Workers are responsible for ensuring continuity of a support service at night and for keeping customers and the building safe.
This role is initially 3 months fixed term contract.
The shift pattern for this role is as follows: 10 x 8 hour shift pattern per fortnight, to include every other weekend.

Working with our staff, cadets, and volunteers, we have built a vision and five-year strategy to take us forward and further improve the astounding contribution already made through our work to the lives of thousands of young people and seafarers, while fully supporting our volunteers who are vital to our success.

We are currently looking for an OTW Project Assistant who will support the delivery of the On The Water project at one of our boating stations in London. The project provides young people from outside Sea Cadets, age 9-14, the opportunity to get on the water, learn new skills and build confidence through boating activity. This is a very varied and rewarding role that requires someone who is self-motivated, inspiring, organised, creative, tenacious, positive, IT competent and with a real interest in people with a attention to detail and real enthusiasm for the project.

Project delivery takes place between 29 July 2024 and 30 August 2025 when the young people will be attending boating sessions. During this busy time the Project Assistant will be based at the boat station each day to complete registration, manage group change overs, track project targets, encourage survey completion and fill booking gaps. Prior to delivery the role will be focused on supporting the booking process and engaging in community outreach. Once delivery is complete, the Project Assistant role will then predominantly be supporting the evaluation and data collection as well as supporting participants to join their local Sea Cadet unit.

Key Responsibilities

• The welcoming and registration of participants for the On The Water project
• Collecting and uploading daily statistics and figures that show how the project is progressing
• Making new and repeat bookings
• Talking to participants and their parents/carers about the opportunities within Sea Cadets
• Managing a waiting list and reducing drop-outs
• Responsible for the safety and wellbeing of participants alongside the Boat Station staff
• Ensure that participants complete surveys to share their experience of the project and encourage adults to feedback on their young people’s experience
• Attend any meetings as required by the project
• Assist with the evaluation of the On The Water project

About the role

You will work a combination of office, client-home, community, and home-based working. Causeway is a 4-day week employer, and this role is part-time 16 hours per week, worked over 3 days. Your working hours will be Wednesdays 11am-3pm, Thursdays 10am-4:30pm (with an unpaid 30 minute break), and Fridays 10am-4pm (with an unpaid 30 minute break). Transport & Environment (T&E), Europe’s leading clean transport think tank and advocacy group, is seeking a Sustainable Shipping Manager to spearhead efforts in decarbonising the UK’s maritime sector.
 
In this pivotal role, you will lead advocacy efforts to advance UK shipping regulations, championing truly sustainable solutions such as green hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels while challenging ineffective alternatives. Your work will involve designing and executing targeted advocacy strategies, engaging with UK policymakers, regulators, industry leaders, and the media to shape policy and drive legislative change. You will also conduct high-impact research, analyse technical and economic data on vessel decarbonisation, and collaborate with environmental organisations to maximise impact.
 
You will be a key voice in the shipping decarbonisation space, representing T&E at public forums, responding to media requests, and forming coalitions with industry players to push for ambitious policy measures that align with the UK’s climate goals.
 
The ideal candidate will have at least six years of experience in UK climate, energy, or transport policy advocacy, with a strong track record of influencing regulatory stakeholders and driving policy change. A deep understanding of the UK political system, excellent political analysis skills, and the ability to navigate a fast-changing policy environment are essential. Strong project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills are also crucial to success. Experience in maritime policy, parliamentary work, or international collaboration would be advantageous.

This role sits within our National Mobilisation Knowledge Group, which seeks to attract new supporters to The Children's Society through paid advertising channels as part of our integrated campaign planning.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

We are currently looking for an experienced paid campaign manager to join our dynamic, ambitious team.

A key part of this role will be your ability to design and deliver paid digital campaign strategies and work with media agencies to ensure our investment is reaping rewards. You will enjoy working on a test and learn basis, trying out new products and channels, and upscaling successful activities to deliver on our targets.

KEY SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES

In order to be successful in this role, you must have:

-Significant experience in managing digital paid media campaigns, including on Meta and Google

-Experience in working with media agencies to deliver integrated marketing campaigns

-The ability to report on campaign progress within delivery teams and to senior stakeholders, and to advise on when to pivot tactics

-Ideally, line management experience to help develop and coach the Digital Marketing Officer

You need to have:

Main Responsibilities:

• Support the Marketing and Events Manager (M&EM) with creating, organising and managing CWC (The Care Workers’ Charity)  events as needed (from conception to realisation including all promotional materials and online promotion).
• Source, design (where required) and manage collateral needed for conferences and events and work closely with colleagues to produce leaflets and flyers
• Assist in implementing CWC’s marketing strategy, including social media, SEO, and email campaigns.
• Help create engaging content for social media, website, newsletters, and marketing materials.
• Manage the charity's attendance at trade conferences and sector events either face to face or online (Organise furniture, marketing collateral, hotel accommodation and travel as needed)
• Work closely with CWC colleagues, using opportunities for wider networking to encourage fundraising
• Support the organisation with organising and running Professional Care Workers’ Week
• Assist to create and maintain an events calendar for the CWC that encompasses a range of fundraising events and awareness raising events
• Utilise online events platforms as well as organising in-person events
• Support the team to recruit and manage volunteers who can support specifically with events, either online or in person
• Get feedback from sponsors and supporters and work with them to improve processes and understand how sponsorship and supporter engagement can develop
• Update the charity's fundraising channels’ information (i.e. Enthuse and Just Giving) to encourage continued engagement, and as a way of engaging fundraisers
•  Provide video content for our fundraising platforms and social media, including case studies from care workers who have been supported with grants by CWC
• Attend conferences and events as required, across England and occasionally in Wales and Scotland
• Engage with CWC’s existing supporters to promote fundraising and understand how they may be best engaged with the Charity.
• Work to event budgets, closely monitoring income and expenditure, and presenting financial updates when required
