About You
You’ll have experience of research administration or management at a University, Research Institute or funding organisation and of supporting patient and public involvement in research or as part of quality improvement projects in a UK-wide healthcare context. You’ll have proven communication and team-working skills and can evidence your ability to horizon scan and network to keep up to date with research and quality improvement developments. We’re looking for candidates who ideally have experience of working in health/science research environments and a knowledge of project management methodology. A knowledge of the needs of people affected by Crohn’s and Colitis would also be an advantage.

Our Location
We are based in Hatfield, Hertfordshire, so we are easily accessible by road and rail. In this role, there is plenty of scope for a hybrid approach working from home, although there will be times when you will need to be at face-to-face meetings in Hatfield or across the UK. There is a requirement for you to attend a minimum of 12 in person days a year, including two Directorate meetings and the charity’s mandatory ‘All Staff Together’ days which take place four times a year at our offices in Hatfield or a location in London. In addition, there will be a requirement to attend site visits, conferences and events as required.

Play a key role in a pioneering £1m Maudsley funded programme transforming how primary care supports young people. As Research Fellow, you’ll lead research and evaluation activity across four South London boroughs and help build WCC’s growing national evidence and insight function.
This post offers an exceptional opportunity to be part of an innovative and rapidly developing programme that blends real world service change with high quality research. Working across the South London and Maudsley (SLaM) boroughs — Lambeth, Lewisham, Southwark and Croydon — you will document, analyse and demonstrate the impact of new youth friendly primary care approaches as they are designed, implemented and adapted.
Supervised by Dr Ann Hagell (Consultant to The Well Centre Charity) and Professor Johnny Downs (King’s College London), you will join a collaborative and multidisciplinary partnership that includes KCL’s CAMHS Digital Lab, primary care teams, youth workers and community stakeholders. This is a rare chance to contribute foundational insight to a charity entering its national scaling phase.

The Well Centre Charity exists to ensure every young person has access to health support that is holistic, youth friendly and free from barriers. Our model brings together GPs, Health and Wellbeing Practitioners and mental health practitioners to deliver integrated care in a way young people value.
Rooted in Lambeth, the Well Centre model has inspired services across South London and beyond. We are now building the research, learning and system infrastructure required to scale this approach nationally. Joining us now means shaping our evidence base and strengthening our role as an innovation partner to local and national systems.
This post is funded by the Maudsley Charity, but the employment contract will be held by Herne Hill Group Practice, the home of the original Well Centre.
About the Role
As Research Fellow, you will lead research and evaluation for the Maudsley programme and contribute to the wider evidence and insight function of WCC. You will use both qualitative and quantitative methods, support digital innovation with KCL, and help ensure that young people’s experiences, outcomes and priorities shape service development.
Your work will inform commissioners, clinicians and system partners working to reduce health inequalities and strengthen support for adolescents across South London and beyond.

About You

The General Advice Officer will support our guests on a range of areas including benefits, immigration, housing, money management and access to training and employment services. Experience of stakeholder management both internal and external; and designing and delivering complex analysis and evaluations is required.
With one direct report, we require a seasoned manager / lead and the person applying should also have proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, Python) for advanced data analysis and modelling (e.g. logic models, theory of change and other evaluation models), and experience in using survey tools and software for data collection and analysis.

CFAB supports children on the move between the UK and other countries and children who are separated from their family in another country. You will raise awareness of our work to protect children who are separated from their families across international borders by developing key relationships with Government departments, drafting policy briefings, developing campaigns and leading on our public affairs work. You also will produce newsletters, create compelling content for our social media channels, maintain our website and promote our campaigns to key stakeholders.

Policy

This new role will be pivotal to elevating our publication, and supporting strong narratives across our communications.This is a hands on role, with an opportunity to help shape our communications and TSL as we approach the SLA’s ninetieth year in 2027.
You will be an experienced editor and content creator. Creative and with a strong eye for detail, you will be confident in overseeing the publications process, alongside copy-editing, proofing and commissioning content and associated administration. You will enjoy opportunities to apply your creative skills to creating interesting and engaging content to support our outputs. As we develop new ways of working, your insight and ideas will help support new activity. You will be comfortable working with a variety of stakeholders and happy to get stuck in as needed. Areas of work include managing production of The School Librarian journal which publishes three times per year, developing a strong understanding of the TSL audience, its circulation and readership figures to inform content development and identify opportunities to attract new subscribers. You will also contribute to digital communication and content strategy across the organisation, helping to determine the best platforms or channels for a variety of content types. While leading on TSL, you will also support content creation for our newsletters, website and social media, working with the Publicity and Partnerships Manager to determine the most appropriate format for different stories, features or news items.
The salary for this position is £24, 324.32 per anum (based on FTE £30,000) for 30 hours per week, and comes with a 6% employer pension contribution.

- Develop a marketing plan and schedule for events, training courses, and venue hire.
- Develop and implement campaign plans for the Society’s events, courses and venue.

About the role
Reporting in to the Strategy & Performance Lead, the Business Planning & Performance Specialist will co-lead the corporate planning and reporting cycle, cascading the global strategy into annual corporate plans and OKRs, while fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

- Experience and comfortability of working within a fast-paced environment
- Experience working with and supervising volunteers
- A thorough understanding of the different types of fundraising challenges
- Good understanding of charity law, policy and regulatory environment within the charity sector
- Knowledge of the Fundraising Regulators code of practice
- Able to work flexible hours (including unsociable hours and weekends)

- Excellent event/challenge management skills – from conception, promotion to production and delivery
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to produce correspondence to a high standard

- Excellent communication skills – written, oral and listening with the ability to communicate sensitively and effectively with a diverse range of individuals who may be supporters, participants, donors or volunteers

- Proven organisational skills with the ability to work on multiple activities at one time
- Excellent administration skills – able to keep thorough, accurate and up to date records
- Competent user of Raisers Edge, Microsoft D365 or other relationship management databases
- Understanding and experience of health and safety regulations and risk assessments in relation to organising events and challenges
- Educated to ‘A’ level or equivalent
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office software in particular, Word, PowerPoint, Excel and Outlook
