Purpose of the Role

To lead on the recruitment, development, training, and well-being of a team of volunteers who deliver vital Home-Start support to families. The role involves managing a caseload of volunteers and supporting families directly where appropriate. Over the course of the year, an average of one day per week will be dedicated to leading volunteering strategy and practice, with the remainder focused on family support delivery.

Key Responsibilities. As Volunteer Lead Co-ordinator you will:

• Carry out initial home-visits and support families to set and monitor goals
• Match volunteers with families according to need and capacity
• Supervise an appropriate caseload of volunteers and enable them to support families
• Monitor safeguarding concerns and liaise with the Operations Manager/Director as needed
• Lead volunteer recruitment to grow and sustain HSH’s diverse pool of volunteers
• Create marketing materials (flyers, social media, newsletter content) in collaboration with Communications and Campaigns Coordinator (CCC
• Oversee and co-ordinate the delivery of Volunteer Preparation Courses
• Organise / deliver a programme of training sessions for current volunteers
• Lead on annual volunteer social events and develop ongoing opportunities for volunteer recognition and reward

Programme Delivery Director

About the role:

You will work closely with our regional and country teams to ensure contract delivery in line with objectives, and overall compliance with donor and MAG requirements. Reporting to the Director of Programmes, you will directly support on day-to-day incident management, as well as acting as a focal point ensuring coordinated, timely, and appropriate support to programmes from other departments. You will ensure effective management oversight on business planning objectives, and on occasion on the delivery of strategic projects. You will work closely with our Regional Directors to develop new programme activities, including supporting assessments, planning, and project mobilisation.

 

About you:

You will be a senior humanitarian professional with significant experience working in an NGO with a focus on international programme management and delivery across multiple country contexts. You will be experienced in the critical assessment, development, and implementation of management structures and systems designed to improve overall delivery of activities. You will be an excellent communicator, with significant experience coordinating programme delivery and support functions including human resource management, logistics and procurement, finance and compliance. You will be a strategic leader with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to negotiate and influence to drive change. You will be ready to travel internationally, including to insecure and conflict-affected areas, and have a solid understanding of geopolitical dynamics and their security impact. Established in 1997, Jigsaw4u provide a range of services for children, young people, families and vulnerable adults experiencing complex social and emotional difficulties across South West London. In the final year of our 3 year strategy, we're looking to the future. Could you be a key part of the Senior Leadership Team and help us shape Action Hampshire for the next part of the journey?

Your role will be to lead on operations at Action Hampshire. This will include supporting our finance team and working with our external finance company. You will contribute to our progress against our strategy. Effective operations and financial management are key to our sustainability and a key part of our strategy, so you will oversee development work to keep improving the organisation’s performance in these areas.

You will play a leadership role across the organisation, internally and externally, championing the organisation’s strategy and building strong relationships.

You will work with the rest of the team to keep developing Action Hampshire’s positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment. You will help shape the organisation so it can be agile and responsive and keep fulfilling our mission and purpose in the most effective and sustainable way.

You’ll have oversight of teams with an internal focus. As you facilitate and support team members to play their part, you will gather insight and use this and your knowledge of charity operations to inform and make recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.

The role will require you to be able to work flexibly, which will include evenings and weekends to accommodate the needs of our children and young people.

Job Purpose:

• Analyse performance data, support testing strategies, and apply insights to improve campaign effectiveness. 

• Maintain accurate campaign records and support reporting processes to track performance against KPIs.

About You 

To be successful, it is important that you have: 

• Experience in customer or supporter retention marketing and communications. 

• Proven ability to grow supporter or donor value through campaigns or journey management. 

• Hands-on experience delivering marketing activity across at least two of the following: direct mail, email, SMS, telemarketing. 

• Experience managing projects and external suppliers to deliver campaigns on time and on budget.
