About the Role
Reporting to the Service Director, the Head of Continuous Improvement will lead and coordinate initiatives that enhance the quality, efficiency and consistency of our services for beneficiaries. You will design and implement a robust quality assurance framework, ensure operational data integrity, and drive service and process improvements that align with our strategic objectives.
You’ll work closely with the Data & Insights team to ensure data and evidence inform service development, delivery, and decision-making. As part of both the Service Leadership Team and the Charity-wide Leadership Team, you’ll collaborate with colleagues across Operations, Marketing & Communications, and Commercial to champion a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Birmingham Botanical Gardens (BBG) is looking for a highly motivated Development Officer with experience to join the small but dedicated Development Team to raise funds to retore and preserve the Gardens for the benefit of everyone now, and for future generations.
Purpose of Role
This exciting new role is vital to increase the income generating capacity of BBG’s Development Team to enable the charity to deliver its purpose and major development over the next 4+ years. In July BBG was awarded an NLHF grant of £9.075m, and has successfully raised over 90% of the capital funds needed. The priority is to close the capital funding gap in accordance with our fundraising strategy and increase funding for other projects and the day-to-day operation the charity, long term. BBG receives no public subsidy and must raise all income from visitors, trading, events and fundraising. The Development Officer post has been created to increase fundraised income for the charity, cultivating and stewarding an expanded and sustained funding and supporter base.
In line with current priorities, the postholder will be required to raise commercial sponsorship income, and income from major donors/individuals to meet capital and operational targets/KPI’s. The postholder will be expected to create sponsor/donor packages, deliver cultivation events and steward donors and supporters on all aspects of fundraising as directed. The postholder will have experience of managing sponsorship agreements to ensure value, compliance and delivery of benefits.
The role will share responsibility for the management of data, compliance and stewardship of growing funding streams and support the administration of the Development Function. The Development Team raises and manages funds from grants, trusts and foundations, individuals, organisations, business, legacies, etc, and the new postholder will work with the highly effective and dedicated team of Development Director and Development Manager and with the wider BBG team.
Key Responsibilities
· Achieve income and performance targets in accordance with BBG’s agreed Fundraising Strategy and business needs, as directed by the Development Director.
· Raise funding with compelling case for support from sponsors/from individuals, to meet the targets of the Major project, and fundraising from other sources such as grants, as agreed.
· Contribute to managing BBG’s development/fundraising function data, ensuring accuracy of data and information on BBG’s Spektrix/CRM system to comply with internal requirements and the Data Protection Act.
· Work with Horticultural, Marketing, Learning & Engagement, Finance Teams and other staff to formulate proposals, maximising opportunities for raising funds to support core functions and projects, once the capital is secured.
· Manage funding contracts with sponsors and those of all Development funders -including payment schedules, high quality impact reports, monitoring and compliance with any conditions of funding.
· High quality personalised stewarding of all donors and supporters, ensuring BBG’s reputation as an exemplary charity is maintained. Respectful approach in all fundraising.

About the role
As Director, you will oversee daily operations, including forecasting and budgeting for the entire organisation (currently c£300K per annum). As such, you will lead on developing a sustainable funding stream for our mission-driven work, ensuring we maintain a 6-month runway at all times. You will build and maintain strong external relationships to help grow and develop the organisation. The Director will provide leadership to a small, remote team (4 x PAYE) and create a happy, sustainable and productive work environment. Key Responsibilities
Funding Development + Stakeholder Relationships (40%):
- Significant responsibility for successful contractual negotiations and maintaining a healthy new funding pipeline. Secure six-to-seven figure funding opportunities to provide a sustainable revenue stream for 3+ years.

We're looking for a compassionate, self-starting individual who is tenacious, goal-oriented, and target-driven with a make it happen mentality, because they know the impact growing this movement will have on thousands of people's lives.
This role is part of the Partnership Development Team within the Mission & Movement Directorate. Reporting to the Head of Movement Development, you will be responsible for initiating and engaging with senior church leaders and wider networks to partner with CAP, primarily through our life-changing Debt Centre service.
As a Partnership Development Manager, you'll be a key driver of our mission. We're looking for a self-motivated, results-oriented, problem solving individual who can build and nurture relationships across diverse church networks and denominations.
You will be responsible for generating new partnership opportunities, inspiring church leaders and wider networks to engage with CAP's vision and partner with us. You'll need to be an entrepreneurial self-starter with a proven ability to build a robust pipeline and deliver on growth targets, specifically around Debt Centre growth motivated by our desire to help more people out of debt and poverty and see them become followers of Jesus.
Partnership Development Manager Scope
- The team is split between full time and part time PDMs.

Role:
Accountabilities:
- Responsible for expanding CAP's partnership network across your region alongside the Regional Director and Head of Movement Development, strategically prioritizing and developing relationships with church leaders and networks to establish new partnerships and services. You'll achieve this by collaborating with other teams, proactively networking with Christian organizations and denominational leaders (where appropriate), and representing CAP at various events, all with the goal of growing our influence and opening new services in every community.
- Proactive management of contacts as they progress through the pipeline, working alongside churches to identify if a CAP service supports their church vision, and if appropriate, manage them through the church journey and experience to open a new CAP service.
- To open new Debt Centre Partnerships as laid out in regional Development plans in target areas of deprivation and communities across the region.
- To open resilience services (Job Clubs, Life skills & Money Coaching) with new and existing church partnerships.
- Alongside Regional Director to identify key areas from across the region to host and organize a targeted number of CAP Spotlight Events per term. These events are designed to gather church leaders around a table to have conversations around opening a multi Church Debt Centre.
- To proactively build, manage and progress a self generated caseload of churches within your region, through cold calling, face to face meetings and all other appropriate forms of communication. This will include frequent travel across the region to meet with appropriate churches/ leaders.
- Refer potential new Debt Coaches or Churches that might want to work with an existing or expanding Church Partnership to the relevant Area Partnership Managers who are responsible for existing centre growth and sustainability.
- To work with Regional Leaders and Area Partnership Managers to deepen local knowledge and connections in order to deliver new church partnership opportunities.
- To collaborate across departments where needed to support and engage with Church Events, Talks, Conferences, Festivals, Church Leaders Meetings and other relevant events within your region, working on exhibition stands (when necessary) to help generate enquiries.

About You
You’ll be a credible and compassionate leader with a background in psychological therapies and experience managing complex clinical services. You’ll bring strategic insight, operational excellence, and a deep understanding of evidence-based practice.
Essential:

Doctoral-level qualification in Clinical or Counselling Psychology (BPS accredited) or equivalent post-graduate qualification in a mental health profession.

Professional registration (e.g. HCPC).

Substantial experience in specialist psychological assessment, treatment, and supervision.

Experience leading multidisciplinary clinical teams.

Skilled in CBT and related therapeutic approaches.
Desirable:

Experience in addiction or gambling-related harm services.

Knowledge of specialised psychological therapies in addictions.

Global Human Resources Director
Relief International

The role
Relief International is looking for an operational Global Human Resources Director to lead our global HR function. This is a unique opportunity for a senior HR professional to drive real, lasting impact across our international operations by strengthening the foundations of HR practice, enhancing team capability, and embedding consistency and compliance across global offices.
Reporting directly to the Chief Operations Officer, the Global HR Director will act as a trusted advisor to the COO and wider Senior Leadership Team (SLT) on all people and organisational matters.
This is a transformative role for a leader who combines vision with pragmatism, and who thrives on translating challenges into meaningful change. The successful candidate will:
- Modernise and harmonise HR policies and processes across country programmes and global support offices.
- Review and update staff handbooks and HR procedures to ensure relevance, clarity, and compliance.
- Restructure and lead an international HR team, clarifying roles and fostering a positive, collaborative culture.
- Ensure compliance with labour laws and international standards, mitigating HR-related operational and financial risks.
- Oversee the full employee lifecycle, including recruitment, onboarding, performance, development, mobility, and well-being.
- Support organisational change, guiding managers and teams through transitions with empathy and structure.
- Champion a culture of inclusion, respect, and accountability in line with RI’s values.
- Advise senior leadership on strategic HR matters, contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
About you
We are seeking a confident and values-driven leader with the following:
- Significant experience as an HR Director or senior HR Manager, ideally within an international NGO context.
- Background working in complex, multi-country organisations—including fragile or conflict-affected contexts.
- Deep expertise in HR policy design, implementation, and compliance.
- Proven ability to lead and restructure remote, international teams.
- Skilled in change management and supporting organisations through transitions.
- Strong knowledge of HR systems (e.g. BambooHR), staff handbooks, and performance tools.
- Strong communicator, capable of building relationships across cultures and levels.
- Fluency in English, French language skills are desirable but not essential.
- Current right to work in the UK.

The Volunteer Coordinator we are looking for will enjoy this unique opportunity to grow and develop our current volunteer work into a thriving and sustainable programme. Our large Cadbury family home with five acres of beautiful grounds is a retreat centre for justice, reconciliation and peace and, as a result of this role, will become a fantastic space for volunteers to flourish while supporting the physical place, vision and work of the charity.
Our current volunteer work includes a small group of local individuals who meet for a monthly volunteer days to work on the grounds and maintenance, and who support our retreat and fundraising events. A relationship with BT has enabled us to begin to offer voluntary opportunities for their local staff and this area is ready to be developed. Volunteers of all faiths and none are invited, but not required, to participate in the rhythm of prayer at the house, and all have the opportunity to hear about the vision and work as part of their experience with us. To work with our bookings a development plan may look like a more regular midweek volunteer day, a regular Sunday volunteer day and a schedule of individual volunteering tasks to be undertaken when staff are onsite during the week.
This post is initially funded for one year. If the role proves fruitful The Greenhouse will seek grant funding to extend it; however, continuation beyond the first year cannot be guaranteed.
The Volunteer Coordinator is a new and developmental role within The Greenhouse at Barnes Close. It offers an engaging opportunity to join our staff team and build upon a small as-yet underdeveloped volunteer programme in a beautiful and rewarding place to work. They will also enjoy the oversight of a discerning and experienced Board of Trustees.
