About the role

This is a fantastic opportunity to join a fast moving, youth focused, charity and to play a vital role in securing income to support our youth activities – working with Trusts and Foundations predominantly, but with the opportunity to also build relationships with statutory funders and, in future, major donors.

We are looking for a proactive, organised individual to join Young Enterprise as part of our impactful and collaborative National Fundraising team. YE’s supportive yet driven environment places personal development at its core, to ensure team members thrive. 

Working with the Senior Relationship Manager and the Philanthropy Team, you will contribute to an annual budget of £4.2m and raise income from Trusts and Foundations and small statutory income streams, utilising your income generating and communication skills. • Income generation - to achieve or exceed agreed income targets, with a focus on securing donations from Trust and Foundations 
• Grant management - working with internal colleagues to track funded projects’ progress against targets and taking action to course correct when necessary. Produce timely, engaging, and accessible project reports to inspire and build donor relationships
• Prospecting - research and qualify a pipeline of Trusts and Foundations and small statutory opportunities to progress and secure financial support for YE.
• Administration - effective administration across YE systems and platforms
• Donor stewardship - some travel required to support YE activities with young people in schools, donor visits to projects

A few practical things

• This is a hybrid role, requiring you to work from a YE office (London or Oxford) at least 8 times per month
• The role will involve travel to events, typically at schools, which take place during term time, however some evening working may also be required.

We are seeking our first Head of Fundraising to join our Senior Leadership Team, build the function and leave a legacy.

Reporting directly to the Chief Executive, you will lead on developing and delivering our fundraising strategy, with primary focus on trusts and foundations and corporate partnerships, with the potential to grow individual philanthropy in the future.

You will be a key ambassador for the organisation, building and managing strong, long-term relationships with funders who share our mission. You’ll bring vision, strategic clarity and emotional intelligence to developing compelling cases for support, always ensuring alignment with organisational goals and understanding that for us, income is a vehicle to impact.

You’ll manage and develop one Senior Officer initially, with the possibility that we may be able to expand the team as income grows. The Senior Officer post is currently empty, so we hope that you’ll be able to be involved in the recruitment of this post enabling you to shape your own team. You’ll also play a wider role in shaping the organisation’s strategy and culture as part of a collaborative and ambitious leadership team.

Key responsibilities:

Strategy and Leadership

• Lead development and execution of a fundraising strategy focused on trusts,foundations and corporates (with a possible addition of individual philanthropy further down the line).

• Develop and test models to diversify income to enable impact – building on our current strategy, but bringing an open mind to exploring new activities.
• Embed fundraising monitoring, evaluation and performance reporting into the organisation; ensure transparency with senior leadership and trustees.
• Maintain close alignment between fundraising strategy and organisational strategy, ensuring funder relationships are ethical, values-aligned and sustainable.

Terms:

• Staff supervised: One team member, who we hope you will be able to be involved in recruiting
• Annual Gross Salary: £64,800 (employees who are not London-based receive the same salary, including London weighting, but cover their own travel costs to the office, typically twice a month)
• Location: Either London-based, with two days per week in Money and Mental Health’s East London office, or home-based with the ability to travel to London at least twice per month. The role will also require some travel for meetings.
• Hours: Both full-time and part-time applicants considered, at a minimum of four days per week. Job shares, consolidated hours and other flexible working arrangements will be considered. Please indicate your preferred working hours on application.

The Organisation

Our client is a high-profile charitable organisation with a global reputation for driving social change through creativity and collaboration. As it evolves to meet the demands of a changing world, the organisation is seeking a Chief Operating Officer (COO) to help strengthen internal operations, scale delivery, and embed values of equity, transparency, and innovation across its work.

The Role

This is a key appointment to the Executive Leadership Team. The COO will be responsible for leading the charity’s internal operations, ensuring that people, processes, and systems are aligned with the organisation’s strategy and purpose. We are looking for an enthusiastic, experienced Information Governance Officer, with a passion for delivering compliance in an organisation that positively impacts the communities we serve. This new role comes at an exciting time as the Fund is launching its new Digital Strategy. The new strategy will provide opportunities to get involved in some interesting and innovative projects to assist in your development in Information Governance.  

In this new role, you will be assisting the Information Governance Manager and Data Protection Officer with day to day task management such as:

• Data breach recording, investigation and resolution,
• First point of contact for processing requests from customers and individuals within statutory timescales,
• Responding to internal data protection queries,
• Management of Information Governance communication channels including SharePoint
• Assisting with projects.

The successful candidate will have excellent written and verbal communication skills and ideally have 1 – 2 years’ experience working in an Information Governance role. The role requires the successful candidate to work both independently and as part of the wider Information Governance team, work to internal and regulatory deadlines and be able to respond to data protection queries, escalating issues to the IG Manager when necessary.

We have a hybrid approach to working, however the role can be predominantly home working, with occasional travel to a Fund office. Work pattern and location will be agreed with the successful candidate. The role can be based at any of our UK offices: Belfast, Birmingham, Cardiff, Exeter, Glasgow, Leeds, London, Manchester, Newcastle, and Newtown.

The Resource Futures Education Team has worked over the past 17 years in developing and delivering high quality Education for Sustainable Development programmes, specialising in waste issues.

Your role will be part of the education team in Devon who enable schools and young people to develop more sustainable practices and lifestyles, specifically within the areas of waste reduction, reuse, recycling and composting. 

Our ideal candidate will live in or around the East Devon / Exeter / Teignbridge area, where the majority of delivery will take place, with some home working. For the successful candidate, there may be an opportunity to expand the number of hours you deliver on a short-term basis, dependent on funding opportunities.

What you will be doing

· Develop and deliver high quality education programmes in schools on the 3Rs – reduce, reuse and recycle - and composting, to include: 

o Leading workshops, assemblies and waste audits.

o Advising school staff (including senior staff, cleaners, caretakers, kitchen staff and other non-teaching staff) on educational and practical waste issues. 

o Support or lead school visits to waste management facilities such as recycling centres and energy from waste (EfW) plants. 

· Recruit schools to the programme and ensure bookings, administration and preparation are undertaken to a high standard. 

· Develop new learning and teaching materials to support the programme, including physical and e-resources. 

· Create and maintain effective relationships with Devon County Council, district councils and other relevant organisations. 

· Assist schools in the practicalities of setting up and maintaining their recycling and composting systems, in liaison with district councils. 

· Work in partnership with Devon County Council to run events, competitions and teacher training courses. 

· Develop effective and supportive relationships with primary, secondary and special schools across the Devon area. 

· Keep accurate records of work, including data on schools visited and waste audit results. 

· Monitor and evaluate the programme, including contribution towards the written annual report. 

· Liaise with other Resource Futures colleagues on project tasks, such as publicity and promotion.

· Contribute to the Recycle Devon and Zone websites, School Sustainability Bulletin and social media where required. 

· Help schools to access resources to write and implement climate action plans.

· Keep abreast of new developments and ideas in education, particularly education for sustainable development.

About you 

Our ideal candidate is a dependable communicator who enjoys the day-to-day delivery of communications - planning and scheduling content, creating and posting on social media, drafting newsletters, updating the website, and producing simple graphics and videos. The Role

Purpose of the Job
