Acquisition Manager (Maternity Cover)
ActionAid is seeking an innovative and driven Acquisition Manager for 10-month maternity cover contract.
This is an exciting opportunity to shape and deliver acquisition strategies across digital and offline channels like Face2Face fundraising. Your role will identify new audiences, test new products and campaigns, and optimise acquisition performance to build a strong and sustainable pipeline of supporters.
Working closely with colleagues across fundraising, communications and data insights, you’ll bring together insight, creativity and strong project management to deliver campaigns that not only perform but connect and inspire new supporters to take action with ActionAid.

This is a rare opportunity to launch a charitable lottery from the ground up. You’ll work closely with our External Lottery Manager (ELM) and lead Woodgreen through to our first weekly draw. Alongside the lottery, you’ll take ownership of our raffle programme — which has just gone through a successful transformation and continues to grow — and bring the two products together into one thriving gaming programme.
You will:
Bringing significant experience of managing a charity lottery or raffle programme, alongside substantial experience of developing and delivering direct marketing campaigns you will have strong project and budget management skills, and a detailed working knowledge — or a real appetite to build one — of large society lottery compliance, including responsible gambling and marketing rules.
Above all, you will be genuinely analytical, comfortable working with data, confident interrogating campaign results, and skilled at spotting the patterns that drive better decisions. Liberty is seeking an experienced, dynamic and ambitious Individual Giving Manager to implement a recently adopted individual giving strategy, lead a fast-paced team, and drive forward the next phase of increased public fundraising.
We are looking for someone experienced in digital communications and conversion, excited by the chance to work across a range of human rights issues, and who brings solid experience in leading a team.
Our current priorities are to maximise the success and profitability of supporter acquisition and conversion (mostly digital), forming tailored, data-driven supporter journeys (online and offline), creating a culture of testing, evaluating and optimising, and delivering engaging, integrated fundraising campaigns based on Liberty’s public campaigning and legal cases, and the investigative journalism of Liberty Investigates.

The Acquisition Marketing Manager attracts new UK supporters and generates income for Mary’s Meals’ school meals programme through effective and inspiring marketing across online and offline channels. This is a fast paced and hands on role for someone who loves to collaborate, problem solve and drive growth while keeping focused on our mission to feed hungry children.
The role primarily raises income (but also awareness) through multi-channel marketing activity with a clear focus on maximising ROI and delivering supporter growth at scale. The focus of the role is on online marketing opportunities and includes managing our organic and paid social channels, overseeing social media influencer strategy and identifying emerging digital channels. The Manager works closely with the Mary’s Meals International team and its agency to deliver Google and Bing Paid Search, Google Grant, Display, and YouTube.
The role will also identify and manage the most effective offline marketing opportunities to maximise ROI from small budgets and pro bono opportunities, such as TV, Radio and OOH advertising. The Manager will ensure online and offline marketing opportunities complement each other (and link seamlessly to our retention strategies) as part of an integrated multi-channel marketing strategy.

The Acquisition Marketing Manager works side-by-side with colleagues from across the Supporter Experience and Communications directorate, ensuring a joined-up approach to all communications activities, through the integration of strong storytelling, marketing expertise and supporter engagement. The role has line management responsibility for the Acquisition Marketing Officer.
