We are the national body for careers education in England, delivering support to schools and colleges to deliver modern, 21st century careers education.

Role summary:

We’re seeking an innovative and collaborative research lead to be an authority on careers education across England. Using a wide range of evidence and data, the Senior Impact and Insight Manager will work with the Associate Director, Policy and Impact to drive an evidence-led approach to CEC’s mission, supporting the development of high quality, impactful careers education.

Essential criteria:

  • Strong analytical and research skills, covering quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills.
  • Ability to distil and communicate relevant insight for policy and practitioner audiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills, with ability to lead a small team working across a wide range of projects.
  • A proven track record in operating in a social research and policy context, ideally within education or related policy area.
