What the job involves
Our Events and Community Fundraising team raises vital funds for Prostate Cancer UK through a wide range of activities, events and challenge events. As Senior Community Fundraising Executive, you’ll be a key member of our sector-leading team, raising over £5 million each year from individuals organising their own fundraising events and local-level corporate partnerships.
You’ll work closely with the Community Fundraising Manager to identify, test and develop new opportunities across our community fundraising programme, supporting our ambitious five-year strategy and growth plans. You’ll project manage mass-market fundraising campaigns to recruit, convert and inspire community fundraisers, working in partnership with colleagues and external agencies to brief, plan, deliver and evaluate paid marketing activity.
A key part of your role will be to design and own supporter journeys that use innovation, technology and personalisation to deliver an exceptional supporter experience. You’ll develop and maintain fundraising resources and incentives, making sure they’re effective, easy to use and continually improving. You’ll also be hands-on with supporters, building relationships with some of our top fundraisers and corporate partners to deepen engagement, strengthen loyalty and help them maximise their fundraising.

You’ll bring experience working in community or events fundraising, with a clear understanding of what motivates supporters and how to give them an outstanding experience. Confident in managing multiple projects at pace, you balance creativity with excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail. You thrive in a varied, fast‑moving environment, taking initiative and using insight to guide your decisions.
Your communication skills will really shine. You’ll write warm, motivating messages that connect with people at every stage of their fundraising journey, and you’ll be confident speaking with supporters; whether that’s one-to-one, in front of a group or over the phone. Personable, proactive and empathetic, you’ll build trust quickly and represent the charity with professionalism and passion.
You’ll be comfortable with digital marketing campaigns and using data to evaluate activity, spot patterns and make improvements. You’ll have experience using CRM systems to record accurate information and you’ll take pride in delivering high‑quality work. You’ll also bring sound judgement when handling sensitive data or supporting fundraisers taking on deeply personal challenges.

How and where we work
Colleagues attend the office at least four days per month (pro rata for part-time colleagues) to collaborate, build relationships, and support projects and decision-making. You can choose where to work the rest of the time. Travel to the office is a commute, so we pay our own travel costs.
Additional in-person attendance will be required during your first few months for induction and training, to support you to learn the role and get to know colleagues.

The Policy and Practice Officer will help drive Carers Trust’s priority to improve support for young carers and young adult carers. You will strengthen our growing policy and parliamentary work, coordinate the ever-growing Young Carers Alliance, and act as the main contact for the Young Carers Covenant.

The RSPCA York, Harrogate & District Branch is seeking to increase its fundraising activity in order to secure the funding neccessary to completely rebuild the York Animal Home. KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Managing people operations and advisory support
· Support managers with employee relations advice and guidance (informal and formal people processes), acting as a trusted expert on all people policy and process matters.
· Oversee the employee lifecycle from recruitment through to leaving The Charity, ensuring inclusive, legally compliant and engaging processes throughout each stage.
· Work with the People and Culture Officer to design recruitment campaigns and talent attraction that contribute to building a diverse talent pipeline.
· Manage onboarding and induction processes to ensure a positive first 100 days at The Charity.
· Oversee the communication and administration of policies, contracts, payroll changes, and compliance checks (Right to Work, DBS, references).
· Partner with People & Culture team members to plan and deliver initiatives relating to wellbeing, performance, reward and recognition, and EDI.
· Maintain accurate records on PeopleHR (our HR database) and Team Tailor (our Applicant Tracking System), ensuring compliance with employment law and GDPR.
Managing volunteering operations
· Lead the operational plan with respect to volunteering, ensuring volunteering supports departmental priorities. This will include acting as the central point of contact for volunteering operations, providing guidance, support and inspiration to teams and volunteers on volunteering policy and process.
· Oversee the recruitment, induction and training of volunteers, working with the People and Culture Officer, Learning and Development Lead and People Administrator, developing digital and in-person learning resources. This will include promoting volunteering opportunities internally and externally, ensuring clear and engaging communications.
· Support the Head of People and Culture to develop recognition initiatives to ensure volunteers feel valued and connected, including campaigns such as Volunteers’ Week and Trustees’ Week, working alongside the Internal Communications Manager role.
· Support Volunteer Coordinators across teams with advice, training and problem-solving to ensure a consistently excellent volunteer experience.
· Ensure volunteering activity is safe and aligned with safeguarding, risk and data protection standards through ensuring policies and procedures are up to date and compliant with legislation.
· Manage the volunteer management system (Volunteero) and use data and feedback to evaluate and improve the volunteer experience.

Job Description
Join Catch22 as our Interim Payroll Specialist and play a central role in delivering a best-in-class payroll service for our people. You’ll lead a proactive, customer-focused payroll function, ensuring colleagues are paid accurately and on time, and supporting smooth onboarding. The Payroll Team is responsible for ensuring that salaries are paid correctly, on time and in compliance with HMRC rules. Based in Brasted (with hybrid working), you’ll oversee all aspects of payroll delivery, manage the iTrent system, and work closely with People, Finance, and the wider organisation. You’ll provide clear payroll advice, mentor people coordinators, and help shape and automate processes for an excellent user experience.
We’re looking for someone with initiative, strong payroll expertise, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively to improve efficiency and support our inclusive culture. As the Payroll Specialist you will be solely responsible for ensuring that the organisation’s payroll and pension schemes are run in the most efficient manner, ensuring accurate payments are made to staff on time, and ensuring that all tax law and other associated regulations are complied with. You will have the ability to demonstrate initiative and a proactive approach to work, be able and comfortable to work unsupervised and work across teams to solve problems and to be able to improve the efficiency of the existing processes. You will also need to manage various priorities and work within tight deadlines and provide an excellent customer focused service to every customer whether internal or external and ensure that issues are resolved on the first occasion wherever possible. You will develop close working relationships with colleagues in the People Services team as well as other key corporate and group functions to promote best practice to achieve accurate payroll processing.
Experience
We are looking for someone that has:
- A full membership (or equivalent) of the Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals and a commitment to continuous learning
- Degree or relevant professional qualification
- Knowledge of MHR iTrent System
- Systems and digital solutions knowledge
- HMRC guidance and pension legislation knowledge
- Strong knowledge of payroll regulations, legislation and procedures.
- Proficiency in payroll software - iTrent / People First
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Payroll system set up and implementation experience
- Ability to handle confidential information with integrity

Additional information
- Salary in the range of £49,000 to £53,000 per annum

About the role
Over the last two consecutive financial years, we have raised approximately £1 million each year – primarily through trusts and foundations, corporate donors, and individual supporters. As the successful candidate, you and the team you lead will play a pivotal role in maintaining this level of fundraising success, ensuring our vital work with young people continues to flourish. This role will involve:
- Reviewing and evaluating our funder qualification processes to ensure donors align with our values and meet our ethical standards.
- Ensuring that detailed research on prospective funding opportunities, including trusts, foundations, corporate partners, HNWIs, are carried out and that plans for making approaches are developed and carefully implemented.
- Initiating, nurturing and maintaining strong relationships with prospective funders and donors.
- Working together with the Senior Leadership to develop and periodically review Khulisa's 3-year fundraising strategy, taking ownership of key elements and processes, and periodically developing and testing new fundraising approaches.

About the role
