Graphic Designer
Location: London or ITF Regional Hub
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time
We are looking for an experienced and creative Senior Graphic Designer with substantial experience in a senior design role, ideally within a multicultural or international environment, and a strong track record in brand development and stewardship. You will be highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and XD, and have an exceptional portfolio showcasing a diverse range of graphic design work across social media, print, web and events. You will also have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the confidence to develop, articulate and present creative ideas to a range of stakeholders.
About the Role
As the lead Graphic Designer at ITF, you will play a pivotal role in shaping our communications, progressing our campaigns and achieving organisational objectives. We are looking for a senior designer to lead our graphic design direction, producing compelling content that honours the collective memory of the labour movement while pushing present-day boundaries and move people to action.
You will lead graphic design initiatives that span our global events, digital ecosystem (including social media), and print publications. This is a hands-on role that involves everything from strategy, planning and project management, to design and execution.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead Graphic Design: Drive ITF's graphic design, providing expertise in creative strategy and direction to progress our campaigns and objectives.
- Creative Content Production: Develop and produce bold, progressive, worker-led content across platforms, including online graphics for social media, event branding and collateral, print materials, animated assets for videos and social media, webpage design, and templates for InDesign, PowerPoint and Canva.
- Campaign and Event Support: Collaborate with teams across the organisation to lead design direction for campaigns, events and other activities.
- Innovation: Bring cutting-edge design practices, techniques and approaches to ITF's design work.
- Brand Management: Maintain and progress the ITF's brand platform and visual identity guidelines.
- Asset Management: Manage asset libraries, including stock images, photographs, videos, logos and templates.
- Project Management: Manage design projects (setting objectives, measures of success and timelines) liaising with relevant stakeholders throughout, and sourcing, onboarding and overseeing freelance designers as required to deliver work that meets our standards
What We're Looking for
- Substantial experience as a senior graphic designer, ideally in a multicultural setting including brand development and stewardship.
- Highly proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (especially InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop and XD).
- An excellent portfolio representing a breadth of graphics design work across social media, print, web, and events.
- Exceptional communication skills and the ability to present ideas confidently.
Bonus Points for:
- Video editing and animation skills, and proficiency with Adobe Premiere / After Effects / Animate
- Familiarity with CMSs (Drupal), CRMs (Action Network), and other platforms.
- Experience working in an international environment.
- Fluency in other languages besides English.
- An understanding of current progressive, grassroots movements.
About the Team
The role of the ITF Communications team is to shine a light on global issues and drive collective action to improve the rights and conditions of transport workers.
The Communications Department leads on strategic communications across the ITF’s industrial sections, global regions and key areas of focus – from women and young transport workers, through to sustainability, health and safety, future of work, and supply chain accountability.
