Job description

About The Job

Contract: Permanent, full-time contract.

Hours: 35 hours per week (1 FTE)

Salary: £32,000 - £36,000

Location: Hybrid, anchored to the London Carers Trust office 1 day a week. Flexibility to work from other Carers Trust’s offices around the UK when needed.

This role is central to telling the stories that bring Carers Trust’s work to life and inspire people to engage with our mission. Through the creation of high-quality, engaging digital content across social media, video, web and written channels, the Digital Content Officer will help raise awareness of the challenges facing unpaid carers and demonstrate the difference that Carers Trust, our Network Partners and supporters make across the UK.

Working within the Marketing and Communications Team and closely alongside colleagues across the organisation, the postholder will develop and deliver compelling content that supports campaigns, fundraising, influencing and engagement activity. They will gather stories from carers and Network Partners, create and coordinate digital content across multiple platforms, and help ensure our communications remain creative, timely and audience-focused.

The role will also play an important part in ensuring the voices, experiences and achievements of unpaid carers are at the heart of Carers Trust's communications. By creating impactful and accessible content that informs, inspires and engages, the postholder will help strengthen public understanding, increase support for carers, and contribute to positive change for unpaid carers across the UK.

As the postholder you will:

  • Work with Marketing and Communications colleagues to turn these stories into high-quality creative content for Carers Trust's online channels.
  • Act as a brand guardian: maintaining consistent, on-brand content across digital channels in line with our brand guidelines, and providing quality control over social media requests from other departments.
  • Manage bespoke content creation projects, providing regular updates on development and production.
