· Experienced in project coordination and working with volunteers
· Comfortable analysing and presenting data to support local planning
· Confident using Microsoft Office and digital communication tools
Desirable: Bid-writing experience, and familiarity with Church of England parish structures and contexts.
There is an Occupational Requirement (OR) for the postholder to be a communicant member of the Church of England (or a Church in communion with it, or a member Church of Churches Together in England, Council of Churches for Britain and Ireland, or the Evangelical Alliance).

We are committed to achieving diversity throughout our Diocese by seeking UKME/GMH colleagues and those from a wide-range of backgrounds, to help us create a culture of inclusion and belonging.

35 hours per week
The Generous Giving Manager is a very exciting and influential role at the Diocese, as you will build on the strong and energetic foundations within our two-person Generous Giving Team to strengthen the financial sustainability of local churches by encouraging generosity in time, talents and financial giving.
Working closely with deaneries, parishes and their leadership teams, you will identify local challenges and opportunities for generous giving, sharing innovative giving practices to help parishes and deaneries develop creative and effective ways to resource their mission.
Communicating clearly and inspiringly the principles of Christian giving to diverse audiences, you will keep up to date with National Church resources, promoting and supporting a wide range of giving methods such as the Parish Giving Scheme (PGS), online and contactless giving. Typically, you will operate during office hours but will need to adjust your working pattern in order to meet with parishes in the evenings and/or occasionally attend their Sunday worship, so the ability to travel to remote locations and work flexibly is a necessity.

We have 350 miles of coastline with historic ports and seaside resorts, alongside rural communities, market towns and commuter-belt urban developments. Affluent areas often sit alongside pockets of major deprivation, offering an exciting and challenging mission context.
At the heart of all we do is a vision of transformation for ourselves and our communities: no one can encounter God and remain unchanged. In the Diocese of Canterbury, we want to increasingly become a Christian community transformed through encounter with Christ, growing and overflowing to transform and bless the families, homes and communities we serve: Changed Lives, Changing Lives.
Closing date: 21 September 2025, 11.59pm.
In this exciting new position, you will play a leadership role across the organisation, internally and externally, leading on our operations, championing the organisation’s strategy and building strong relationships.
Do you want to be part of making a difference to, and supporting, the voluntary, community and social enterprise (VCSE) sector across Hampshire?
Joining a motivated and friendly team, you will play a leading role in helping Action Hampshire continue to grow sustainably and fulfil its vision and purpose.
The VCSE sector is vital to strong, connected, thriving communities. Our approach, The Action Hampshire Way, is to resource and support VCSE organisations to work with their communities in the way they know best on a range of topics - community research, smoking cessation, cancer prevention, climate action, rural housing, social enterprise, village halls and a whole lot more. This bridge to communities, and community-led action reduces inequity and puts communities at the heart of the change they want to see.
We've been through a time of change internally to make us more sustainable, efficient and agile - including moving to a teams based approach and making better use of digital tools. In the final year of our 3 year strategy, we're looking to the future. Could you be a key part of the Senior Leadership Team and help us shape Action Hampshire for the next part of the journey?
Your role will be to lead on operations at Action Hampshire. This will include supporting our finance team and working with our external finance company. You will contribute to our progress against our strategy. Effective operations and financial management are key to our sustainability and a key part of our strategy, so you will oversee development work to keep improving the organisation’s performance in these areas.
You will play a leadership role across the organisation, internally and externally, championing the organisation’s strategy and building strong relationships.
You will work with the rest of the team to keep developing Action Hampshire’s positive, inclusive, and collaborative working environment. You will help shape the organisation so it can be agile and responsive and keep fulfilling our mission and purpose in the most effective and sustainable way.
You’ll have oversight of teams with an internal focus. As you facilitate and support team members to play their part, you will gather insight and use this and your knowledge of charity operations to inform and make recommendations to the Senior Leadership Team.

About Us
Millimetres 2 Mountains Foundation (M2M) is a charity dedicated to helping individuals rebuild their lives after experiencing physical or emotional trauma. Founded by former professional rugby player Ed Jackson and his wife, Lois, following Ed’s life-changing spinal injury, M2M uses the power of adventure, nature, and community to support people on their journey of recovery.
At the heart of the charity lies the M2M Development Programme - a bespoke, holistic support system tailored to each beneficiary’s unique recovery journey. Through one-to-one mentorship, a nurturing community, and the transformative power of the outdoors (culminating in life-changing mountain expeditions abroad), M2M empowers individuals to rediscover purpose, rebuild confidence, and move forward with lasting resilience. We take on eight new beneficiaries each year, supporting up to 24 individuals at any one time. Guided by our ‘inch-wide, mile-deep’ philosophy, we focus on depth of impact over scale, ensuring each person receives the tools, encouragement, and care needed to create life-long change. This includes access to grants for physiotherapy, psychotherapy, job retraining, and any other support essential to their growth. Everyone is met exactly where they are, with a personalised plan that reflects their goals, challenges, and potential.
In addition to our core programmes, M2M runs Together Outdoors - an initiative that harnesses the healing power of nature and connection through community-based mental health walks. Led by trained volunteers and Life Coaches, these walks offer safe, inclusive spaces for honest conversations, emotional support, and personal growth. Whether on a remote peak or a local path, M2M believes in the life-changing potential of movement, shared experience, and the great outdoors.
M2M is an inclusive, people first organisation. A core part of achieving our mission is that our workforce is diverse and reflective of the community that we serve. There will be no discrimination in our recruitment and selection processes, nor when considering pay and benefits.
