Job description

This role within our award-winning public affairs and campaigns team is central to delivering impactful national campaigns that save babies’ lives and ensure bereaved families receive the care and support they need.

You will play a key role in cross-organisational efforts to plan and implement campaigns that influence national policy. Strong knowledge of digital campaigning techniques and the ability to create compelling, action-driven content are essential.

A key responsibility is ensuring bereaved parents’ voices shape our work—both through small, issue-focused groups and our online campaign network. You will facilitate meaningful involvement of those with lived experience, design effective campaigner journeys, develop resources, and support campaign groups through training and events.

The role also requires building a robust evidence base for Sands campaigns, reflecting diverse perspectives. You must be skilled at gathering and interpreting complex information and communicating it clearly to varied audiences.

You will join a small, highly effective team working across policy, public affairs, and campaigns nationwide. Flexibility, initiative, and a collaborative approach are vital.

Sands is an inclusive and diversity-friendly employer. We are committed to promoting equality, valuing diversity and working inclusively. We welcome and encourage applications from people of all backgrounds and do not discriminate on the basis of disability, race, colour, ethnicity, gender, religion, sexual orientation, ageage or any other category protected by law
