We are seeking a proactive and experienced Fundraising Manager to join us on a part-time or full-time basis (minimum 3 days per week). This role will lead and manage our small fundraising team and drive income generation across a range of activities. This is a key role responsible for the planning, implementation, and monitoring of our fundraising strategy, ensuring we achieve our financial targets and can continue to provide essential support to survivors.

The Fundraising Manager will work closely with the CEO, Business Development Officer, Trusts and Foundations Fundraiser, and the wider team, to implement both strategic and operational elements of our fundraising efforts. This includes leading on the coordination and delivery of our multi-strand fundraising strategy, specifically including corporate fundraising, sponsorship opportunities, and the development of income-generating training and development programmes. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing distinct strategies for longer-term contract funding, while ensuring alignment with the overarching fundraising strategy.

This role reports directly to the CEO and is a permanent contract, with a competitive salary range of £38,850 - £43,050 (pro rata if part time). It includes a generous 30-day annual leave allowance, plus bank holidays, with 5 days to be taken over Christmas (as the office is closed for two weeks).

This role offers flexibility and can be undertaken remotely for the right candidate, with travel required to our Carlisle headquarters on an ad hoc basis as required.

We are looking for a committed, highly organised Head of Operations to join us and support JustMoney Movement's Executive Director and the wider team in turning our vision of a fairer, greener future into reality.

Background to the organisation and the role 

The JustMoney Movement is a Christian charity, with longstanding relationships across the Catholic, Anglican, Nonconformist and Pentecostal denominations. We have a vision of a fairer, greener future, and we believe money is integral to shaping that future. As Christians we believe our use of money should flow from our faith and values such as justice, compassion, the dignity of all, and the importance of caring for creation.

Our work is mostly online and our team work largely remotely, with some team members coming together in a shared office space in London regularly. We are a very small team, punching above our weight and seeking to have a significant impact on economic and financial system change. We are a values-led organisation putting a high store on the wellbeing of our staff, the quality of our relationships and collaborations, and the integrity of our ways of working.   

Our vision, strategy and activities 

The financial system and wider economy are harming people and planet, leading to crises in our climate and nature and to huge economic inequalities. We rebranded from ECCR to the JustMoney Movement in 2022 to reflect our aim to build a movement of people seeking a more just use of money. This role: Head of Operations (part-time 14 hours a week) 

The Head of Operations will work closely with the ED and support the team in the smooth running of the organisation. 

Role Requirements

Where You’ll Be Delivering Our Mission

Most of the time, you’ll be based from our brand new Unloc Leeds office space in the city centre, or delivering programmes in Schools and Colleges in the Leeds City Region. 

You’ll also be out and about delivering programmes to our partners in other areas across the North of England. Occasionally, you will travel to London or Portsmouth (our HQ) to spend time with other teams. You will likely have more travel in your first three months as part of your induction programme. Of course, any travel costs outside of commuting to/from the Leeds city centre office will be covered, alongside an allowance for meals and accommodation.

Key Responsibilities

Supporting the implementation of the Unloc Leeds Strategy

• Working in partnership with the Senior Team to ensure the delivery of the Unloc Leeds strategy. This includes;

  • Building new relationships with local schools and colleges. 

  • Facilitating free-to-access Changemaker Challenge days for local schools in Leeds. 

  • Delivery of workshops and presentations, attendance at events to to promote Unloc’s programmes and initiatives to schools, colleges and community groups.

Working in partnership and building new stakeholder relationships

• Liaise and act as a primary point of contact for current key stakeholders to promote Unloc’s work. This will include Local Authorities, Education Trusts, Businesses and Community Interest Groups. 

• Implement engagement strategies to build deep and meaningful new relationships with key stakeholders and people - developing advocacy for Unloc and our mission - and garnering insights into their challenges and priorities.

• Represent Unloc in external meetings, conferences and networking opportunities - building relationships that could support our efforts to generate new income.

Organise, plan and facilitate changemaker projects and programmes

• Organise, plan and facilitate bespoke changemaker events (with support from the Operations and Quality teams) for individual businesses, grant giving bodies, schools & colleges. These will span all four of our programme pillars; youth voice, leadership, entrepreneurship, and careers and employability. This generally involves designing agendas, booking speakers, managing event resources, actively leading individual sessions, briefing event support staff, liaising with key points of contact and managing attendance from multiple schools, colleges and partners.

Managing staff

• To line-manage other members of staff in line with Unloc’s People Management Approach. This includes:

  • Providing wrap around support to individual team members when they require it.

  • Promoting a culture of excellence in programme management and facilitation.

  • Ensuring that facilitators you manage operate in line with Unloc’s policies, procedures and practices whilst instilling Unloc’s core team values.

  • Maintaining a working knowledge of each staff member’s portfolio and current progress on programmes and providing a source of accountability.

  • Holding regular check-in meetings with team members.

  • Carrying out formal progress review meetings with team members every 6 months.

  • Dealing with staff member HR requests and scenarios such as flexible working, holiday requests, sick days, etc.

Vision of adventure, a small outdoor charity based in the Lake District , is seeking an experienced fundraiser to join our team. We specialise in working with people with visual impairments facilitating outdoor adventures, social connection and access to specialist coaching. To achieve this the organisation partners visually impaired individuals with sighted guides for residential weekends focusing on: long walks, canoeing, climbing, tandem biking, and more. The team comprises five part-time workers, numerous volunteers, and the board of trustees. We all work remotely, use each others first names, and have flexible scheduling.

The role of a fundraiser is paramount to our continued sustainability. You will be solely responsible for our fundraising initiatives. The charity has a commendable track record of raising funds, and you will be expected to surpass these targets as a professional fundraiser. An engagement officer will support your role by gathering feedback and preparing draft funder impact reports.

You will have extensive demonstrable fundraising experience. You will be personable, be an excellent communicator , make appropriate use of information communication technology, and capable of managing your own time and workload.

Oasis Community Hub Hadley encompasses a variety of integrated and diverse community projects which together have a common aim to bring transformation to the whole person and the whole community. 

Oasis Community Hub Hadley is looking for a project Administrator to maintain the smooth day-to-day running of the Oasis Youth Support project at North Middlesex University Hospital, a project supporting young people who have experienced violence which has had a negative impact on their mental wellbeing.

Duties Include;

1. Updating and maintaining the project’s database from local NHS systems.

2. Identifying young people eligible for the service by screening referrals or trawling the hospital system and ensuring these are collated on the project database to be contacted by the youth workers.

3. Quality assure the data being recorded on the EVIDE system.

4. Preparing regular reports as required by the projects funders or other stakeholders.

You could be successful in this role if you: 

· Have a relevant experience with administration, including using excel, word and other Microsoft systems.

· Have an eye for detail and accuracy.

· Possess excellent oral/written communication and organisational skills.

· Are self-motivated, with the ability to take initiative and work to deadlines.

Please be aware that although the role does not require face to face work with young people, the post-holder will be regularly reviewing and inputting details of incidents relating to youth violence.

Purpose
This vital role works alongside the Head of Philanthropy to help build and grow our philanthropic partnerships over the next five years and beyond. As well as building upon current relationships, you will identify, research and cultivate relationships with charitable Trusts and Foundations as well as major donors to raise both restricted and unrestricted income.

Responsibilities and areas of work
This important role will focus primarily on Trust Fundraising but will also encompass Major Donor Fundraising. It will seek to identify new high-level donors, as well to develop existing relationships with our generous supporters. Working closely with the Head of Philanthropy, other team members and external consultants, and in collaboration with our colleagues in the
Programmes Team, the Senior Philanthropy Officer will focus on building our trust portfolio – with a focus on donors giving £5k - £100k per year

1. New business acquisition:
a) Researching new individuals and trusts to build a prospect list for future funders, using our database (Salesforce), available lists and external databases. Assessing the potential for active, lapsed and prospective donors to support CBM and recording accordingly.
b) Recommending tactical next steps for engagement with new individuals and trusts, for approval by the Head of Philanthropy.
2. Stewardship and cultivation of current and active donors:
a) Developing and implementing tailored stewardship plans, so that individuals / trusts are engaged in a bespoke manner, and that application and reporting deadlines are met.
b) Leading on the production and submission of applications, proposals and initial approaches (by post, email and, to a lesser degree, phone) and following up as required.
c) Reporting to donors in a formal or informal way, as appropriate, to ensure they are kept up to date with CBM and project developments                                                                                                                                                               d)Organising, facilitating and attending face-to-face and online meetings with high-level donors/ trusts, including organising dates and venues, and creating Meeting Briefs for all attendees to ensure positive outcomes.

3. Proposal and Report Writing
a) Designing and crafting compelling proposals, reports, project timelines and budgets that meet the bespoke needs of donors whilst meeting the needs of CBM and our Programme delivery colleagues, within agreed deadlines.
b) Working with members of the Programmes Team to ensure the accuracy of proposals /reports, and with members of the Fundraising & Communications Team to ensure consistency of messaging.
c) Working with the Philanthropy & Partnerships Team to develop new projects/ themes/
appeals for potential projects.

4. Other Team Responsibilities:
a) Helping to develop the Annual Forecast Budget for the Team, and providing updates on the pipeline and progress against targets.
b) Ensuring all information, donor activity is recorded and kept up-to-date on our database to fully-inform any approaches / meetings.
c) Providing proof-reading and copy-editing support to colleagues.
d) Monitoring the activity of related organisations and the fundraising sector, identifying changes, predicting trends and making recommendations as necessary.
e) Helping to develop a culture of enthusiasm and success, reflecting the ambitions of CBM, and promoting positive working and innovation.
f) Ensuring that the values of CBM UK are understood by external partners and always reflected in communications.
