2. About us:

The UK Cyber Security Council works to bring together stakeholders to build and drive engagement in the cyber security profession, through developing standards and ethical practice, demystifying career routes into the profession and promoting the profession.

In collaboration with multiple UK Government departments and the National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC), our approach is to co-ordinate existing programmes and shape new initiatives, in support of the ambition to make the UK the safest place to live and work online.

We are also a membership organisation, with corporate members, who share our interest in promoting, supporting and developing the cyber security profession.

3. The role:

This exciting strategic and operational role will enable you to lead on the dynamic marketing and communication approach of an organisation with a very important mission which engages with a myriad of important stakeholders  

4. Main Duties and Responsibilities 

· To lead the delivery of the organisations marketing and communications (marcomms) strategy plan.

· To lead the development of strategic marketing and communication plans across all programmes, products and services.

· To ensure that marketing and communications across the organisation reflect and align with the UK Cyber Security Councils brand, vision, mission and values.

· To oversee and deal with brand governance issues and to drive, manage and implement marketing solutions and promotions that support agreed brand awareness targets.

· To manage our digital and social media channels and to ensure that all programmes and services are promoted effectively through these channels.

· To write high quality content, briefs, press releases and social media posts as part of our marcomms requirements.

· Working with the leadership team to develop a plan and process for internal communications across the Council.

· To lead on collaboration with licenced bodies and partners on joint marcomms and promotions

· To maintain an awareness of the Council’s strategy and wider cyber security landscape and propose content that will speak to key audiences.

· To update the website content on a regular basis as the window to the organisation.

· To work with internal and external colleagues to agree marketing and communications strategies for each programme and support the delivery of e-marketing and social media campaigns.

· To lead on the delivery of consistent, branded marketing collateral – print and digital in support of identified brand awareness targets.

· To lead on promoting our events management activities working closely with internal and external colleagues.

· To develop and evaluate customer research, market conditions and competitor data to ensure that annual marcomms plans remain refreshed and up to date.

· To work with senior managers to develop annual engagement targets based on

increased engagement and influence.

· To measure and report performance of all marketing activity, assessing against

targets, together with other relevant metrics and analytics.

· To prepare progress reports as required for the Chief Executive and/or Board of Trustees.

· To ensure effective data management concerning members and supporters to ensure that GDPR compliance is maintained at all times.

· To represent the Council in a professional manner and to act at all times in a manner which will not damage its reputation.

· To undertake other tasks from time to time as required by the Leadership Team.

5. Person Specification:

5.1 Essential Criteria:

· Experience and willingness to be hands on in content development and production including graphic design of marketing collateral

· Experienced in copy writing, proof reading and editing content

· Experience of content management systems (CMS) 

· Experience of working with creative agencies and PR companies

· Excellent written and verbal communication skills

· Experience of using customer relationship management systems (CRM)  

· Excellent project management skills

· Attention to detail and driven by high quality outputs

· Ability to work autonomously, work under spikes of pressure and meet deadlines

· Ability to think outside the box, dynamic and innovative

· Experience of managing the social media area including content and campaigns

· A track record of successful programme and organisational marketing

5.2 Desirable:

This exciting Senior Content Manager role will lead on the Foundation’s content strategy and the delivery of high-quality content across all our channels in line with our strategic objectives and digital strategy.

What does the role involve?

• Lead on planning, creating and scheduling content
• Manage the relationship with our community management agency to ensure our online communities are kept engaged and supported.
• Setting the standard and ensuring the high quality of all content produced at the Foundation.

Through your work, you will help us ensure Syrian communities have the education and medical care they need, every day, and when emergencies strike – this is critical as Syia begins to rebuild following the fall of Assad in late 2024. Action Syria has over a decade of experience working with local partners in the Middle East making a positive difference to over 25,000 people affected by conflict, displacement and natural disaster annually. We seek a competent, confident and skilled communications and marketing specialist to help deliver ambitious plans for the coming years, increasing our profile and expanding our audiences.

Working closely with the CEO and the fundraising team, you will be responsible for delivering our Communications & Marketing strategy, making sure it integrates with our fundraising strategy, and critically, considers the broader vision for expanding our audience. You will set appropriate targets, key performance indicators and measure progress against these. Responsibilities

1. Lead the Communications and Marketing function and strategy:

• Review and refine our Communications & Marketing strategy to ensure it is fit for purpose and responsive to the new chapter unfolding in Syria, positioning us as a leading voice among charities engaging in the region;
• Work with Head of Development to ensure the C&M strategy integrates with our fundraising strategy, driving impact, building trust, and ensuring sustainability; and
• Set targets and milestones for the C&M Strategy to measure progress against.

2. Manage our annual communications plan:

• Produce engaging and meaningful content for communications and marketing purposes, including copy and graphics
• Write and publish key communications throughout the year, e.g. blog posts and newsletters (Mailchimp) to maintain a strong profile and grow our support base;
• Manage social media platforms: Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, X, scheduling regular, high-quality posts, and managing Meta Ads, to engage existing and new audiences;
• Create engaging digital content, with input from the team on messaging and purpose, to raise Action Syria’s profile and support our fundraising and marketing campaigns;
• Work with the fundraising function on Action Syria’s digital fundraising strategy, with a focus on optimising donor journeys; and
• Support the team with asset design for fundraising campaigns where required.

3. Act as guardian of Action Syria’s brand, ensuring it is fit for purpose:

• Develop comprehensive brand guidelines, in line with our recent rebrand; and
• Ensure website is current, appropriate and enables us to reach strategic and fundraising goals.

4. Develop strategic engagement with media:

• Build on press list and cultivate relationships to enhance Action Syria’s profile

Essential

• Positive, pro-active and reliable;
• Prior experience of strategic communications and marketing planning and delivery at management level;
• Prior experience of marketing (digital and other) with the ability to tell powerful stories via multiple channels;
• Prior experience of Social Media management;
• Excellent design skills, with an eye for detail;

We are seeking an Exhibitions and Collections Projects Manager to join the Crafts Council on a permanent basis. This is a vital role in the Public Programmes team to oversee the maintenance and development of Crafts Council Collections and the delivery of key temporary exhibitions.

Reporting to the Senior Collections and Programme Manager, this role will ensure the Crafts Council Collections are documented and preserved to a high standard for future generations. They will also support the strategic development of the Crafts Council’s programme, managing relationships with external commercial partners, artists and institutions, overseeing project budgets and timelines and contributing to reporting and evaluation frameworks.

This is a dynamic and hands-on role which involves working across the organisation and beyond to deliver and communicate best practice in exhibition production and collection management.

About You

• You will bring adept production and organisational skills to this role
• You will be confident leading the planning and delivery of exhibitions and collection projects working in collaboration with artists, partners, contractors and venues
• As an experienced exhibition project manager, with expertise in collection management, you will have a strong understanding of what it takes to successfully realise displays to a high standard and be familiar with collection management procedures and systems

Main Duties

In collaboration with the Senior Collections and Programme Manager, you will:

• Oversee planning and arrangements for installation and de-installation of exhibitions including Brookfield Properties Craft Award summer exhibitions
• Maintain exhibition and collection project budgets, timelines and documentation to a high standard
• Lead dynamic teams of casual assistants, freelance technicians, designers, conservators and photographers as required
• Facilitate accessibility of the Crafts Council Collections including Primary, Handling, Archive, Oral Histories and Library. Leading on both online accessibility via Collections Online and ensuring the collection is available to its audiences physically
• Ensure maximum impact from National Lottery Heritage Funded project 'Craft for the People' Is achieved, ensuring crafts council collection is available to a wider amount of people and is more resilient
• Oversee management of upcoming loans, arranging object transportation, entry and exit processes, loan agreements, mounting and conservation, where needed
• Lead on loans marketing and collections income generation projects
• Oversee collection management projects, including acquisitions, auditing, condition checking, improving packing, image and copyright licensing, object photography, location and movement control. Recording Information on Crafts Council's CMS Museum Index +
• Review and improve collections storage processes, embed collections trust benchmarks in security, building management system for temperature and humidity control, pest and disaster management
• Contribute to implementing cost-effective and environmentally sustainable working practices for exhibitions and collection maintenance

Community Project Lead 

• Two-year fixed term, full-time (35 hours per week) or part-time (minimum 21 hours per week considered), £28,000 – £32,000 per annum depending on experience (pro rata if part-time)

Do you have experience working with under-served communities and leading impactful outreach projects? Are you passionate about improving access to support for families of children and young people with special educational needs and disabilities (SEND)?

IPSEA is the leading charity in the field of SEND law in England, and we provide free and independent legal advice and support to families of children and young people with SEND. We also provide training on the SEND legal framework, and we influence policy at both a local and national level.

We are looking for an experienced and motivated Community Project Lead to join our team and lead the development of our advice services for under-served communities. This two-year, fixed-term role is a key part of our strategy to reach groups who may not traditionally engage with IPSEA’s support - including children and families with English as an additional language, cared-for children (children in care), migrant children, detained children, and Gypsy, Roma and Traveller communities.

The project builds on a detailed scoping exercise we’ve recently completed, which involved working closely with a wide range of charities and organisations that support these communities. The resulting report outlines the barriers they face, and will form the foundation for this project and directly inform the work you will lead.

What you’ll do 

• Design and develop pilot advice services that are tailored to the needs of under-served communities, using findings from IPSEA’s research 

• Build and maintain strong relationships with community groups, charities and service providers to co-produce accessible services 

• Collaborate with IPSEA’s advice, legal and policy teams to address the barriers these communities face in accessing SEND legal advice 

• Contribute to and share outreach materials, training resources and toolkits to support families of under-served communities and empower local advocates 

• Plan and lead workshops, focus groups and community events to raise awareness, gather feedback and enhance service delivery 

• Monitor and report on project outcomes and impact, providing regular updates to IPSEA staff and stakeholders 

You can work remotely or from IPSEA’s office in Takeley, with frequent travel required for essential meetings and community engagement.
