You will lead in delivering content for the Never Alone programme, which seeks to provide support for young people on a range of feelings, life experiences, conditions and mental health medications. The Senior Digital Marketing Officer role is part of the newly created Digital Engagement team working to deliver exceptional digital activity that delivers against organisational objectives.

As Senior Digital Content Designer you’ll play a key role in ensuring the British Heart Foundation (BHF) puts users at the heart of everything we do; researching, commissioning, writing, editing, and publishing effective content that helps grow and deepen engagement for our diverse audiences.

You will build great relationships with colleagues across the BHF, supporting them to take a user-centric and evidence-based approach in their work across a variety of high-profile services to improve the overall user experience of our site.

Managing a small team of content designers, you will help set the standards for content quality, advocating best practices in areas such as SEO, accessibility, analytics, and qualitative and quantitative research. As a brand and user champion this role will embed and uphold our content guidelines, tone of voice and visual flair, to ensure BHF content is always accessible and consistent.

​​The insight lead will be integral to realising this ambition ‒ combining our analytical and sector research with our internal data. They will establish NCVO’s Insight Hub which will house the highest quality data and insight, and be respected and valued by external stakeholders.

​We’re already revered for our Almanac and other research projects, which the insight lead will further expand. They will also develop the strategy, review our research programme, and embed a culture of using insights across the organisation.

​​This is a dual role. The insight lead will act as a champion for the voice of the customer internally – ensuring business decisions and strategic priorities are based on insight, and that we’re collecting and managing data in the most compliant way.

​They will also take a strong external leadership approach ‒ looking for partners, technologies, AI solutions and funding opportunities so we can strengthen what we know about the sector, and how we report and share information. They will review our existing approach to research and harness opportunities from our unique perspective.

We’re looking for an organised and proactive person to play a crucial role in supporting communications and marketing activity across our organisation. You need to be passionate about all things digital and feel at home publishing content and engaging on social media.

You’ll get to work with experts across our teams, gain insights and make a positive impact across all areas of our charitable business. You’ll be involved in a wide range of activities, from maintaining digital content across web and social media and helping to facilitate press requests to assisting with an assortment of marketing opportunities, from coordinating events to assisting with the development of marketing materials.

With a flair for and interest in creating captivating content and a good eye for a story, you’ll contribute ideas and support the team in developing and sharing a range of multimedia assets and stories.

Main responsibilities will include:

• Create and maintain schedules for digital and social media activity (owned and paid).
• Lead the day-to-day posting and monitoring of social media activity.
• Work with our Content Management Systems (CMS) and other digital platforms to manage the publishing of content across these channels, including websites and intranet.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to source content and story leads and research and develop compelling multimedia assets and content.
• Analyse communications activity (social media, web, media, internal and campaigns) to produce actionable and meaningful insights and reports, making effective use of analytics tools to inform communications activity.
• Support with varied marketing communications activities, from events to development of campaigns and marketing materials.
• Assist with the running of the press office, from facilitating filming and photography requests to other varied media events and opportunities, developing and maintaining media our database, and triaging our press office inbox.
