In this role, you’ll be responsible for the creation and continuous improvement of our health information at every stage of the user journey. You’ll collaborate with users and clinical experts to ensure our information is accurate, relevant, evidence-based and accessible. You’ll use your content design skills to help anyone affected by blood cancer access the information they need.

About the job role

We have an exciting opportunity for a Legacy & In Memory Officer to join our Fundraising team at St Joseph’s Hospice. We are looking for someone who has experience in delivering legacy and/or in-memory campaigns and working in a fundraising environment.

The purpose of this role is to manage and grow the legacy fundraising and in-memory giving programmes. This will involve providing exceptional stewardship to supporters to build long-term engagement, managing legacy and in-memory campaigns to reach agreed objectives and building relationships with local solicitors and funeral directors alongside other stakeholders.

Working with the Public Fundraising Manager, the post holder will deliver a strategy to increase income, develop relationships and effectively deliver in-memory events and campaigns.

• Experience in delivering legacy and/or in-memory fundraising campaigns
• To be comfortable speaking to bereaved families with compassion and kindness

About The Role

We’re looking for a Senior Delivery / Programme Operations Manager who thrives on delivering efficient and pragmatic processes, procedures and systems to support the impactful delivery of our growing suite of Financial Education and Wellbeing Workshops and Programmes. You will help us get stuff done! And deliver important functions and projects yourself.

Job Purpose:

 This role will lead the development and delivery of Allergy UK’s youth engagement initiative. We are beginning several exciting new projects focused on engaging young people who live with allergy and providing opportunities for them to have a voice and support them in raising awareness of the issues that affect their life. We are seeking young people’s participation and co-production in all activities we develop to support their needs. The role of Youth Engagement Officer will be to engage with young people across the UK, to ensure that they have the opportunities and support to shape and influence Allergy UK’s programmes and activities for young people living with allergy.

The Youth & Community Engagement Officer will engage with children and young people across the UK to ensure they are meaningfully involved and supported to influence Allergy UK’s services, campaigns and resources. This includes creating safe, inclusive spaces where young people and parents and carers feel listened to and empowered to share their experiences.

The successful individual will develop youth opportunities that build confidence, skills and life chances, while supporting children and young people living with allergy to overcome the social, emotional and practical barriers they may face. A key part of the role will be working collaboratively with parents and carers to ensure their voice inform decision making and design.

As a Youth & Community Engagement Officer, you will have experience of working positively with children, young people and families, and have a proactive, organised and confident approach.

Strong organisation skills and initiative are essential as you will be the lead Allergy UK’s youth provision.

You will coordinate a range of activities on-line and in-person engagement sessions, blogs, podcasts, learning opportunities and digital activities all rooted in co-production principles. You will work as part of a wider team to engage children, young people and parents and carers, to amplify unheard voices and stories, and help drive positive change for families living with allergy.

The post is funded by the National Lottery Community Fund until September 2028. o Continue to design and deliver youth-led services with the existing 18–25 youth group for people living with allergies

· Plan, project manage and deliver engaging co-production projects, building positive, trusted relationships with children, young people and parents and carers, and promoting meaningful participation.

· Create opportunities for young people to have a strong and influential voice, supporting them to engage in Allergy UK’s awareness- raising and public affairs activity to influence policy, improve services and drive change.

· Establish, develop and lead the Allergy UK Youth Forum, ensuring it is representative, inclusive and impactful.

· Support and develop young people to become champions and ambassadors for Allergy UK, building confidence, leadership skills and advocacy capability.

· Work collaboratively with a wide range of organisations including but not exclusively schools, local government, health and youth services and voluntary sector organisations.

· Act as a key role holder for safeguarding, ensuring that the safety and wellbeing of children, young people and vulnerable adults is central to all youth and family engagement activity. This includes promoting a strong safeguarding culture, adhering to Allergy UK’s safeguarding policies and procedures, identifying and escalating safeguarding concerns appropriately, completing and contributing to risk assessments, and working closely with designated safeguarding leads and relevant staff to ensure safe, inclusive and compliant practice at all times.

· Maintain accurate and confidential records, ensuring the secure and compliant recording of sensitive data on Allergy UK’s Salesforce database in line with data protection requirements.

The Role

This Administrator role is an exciting opportunity for a self-starter to play a central role in supporting the running of one of the UK’s most prestigious international scholarship programmes. The Administrator will help provide an excellent experience for applicants, Scholars, alumni, Trustees and partner institutions.

The Administrator role with support on the full scholarship cycle which includes providing high quality administrative support to the Director, Scholars and other stakeholders. Prepare longlists and shortlists in consultation with the Director. Provide administrative support to the selection panels, including scheduling scholar interviews and preparing interview packs, briefing papers and secure document folders for panel members.

Work with the Director to communicate selection outcomes professionally and sensitively to applicants.

Support safeguarding, compliance and due diligence processes relating to applicants and Scholars. Maintain accurate records of applicant demographics, progress, decisions and feedback.

2. Scholar Support and Engagement

Arrange onboarding for new Scholars, including orientation materials, pre departure meetings, events and information sessions. Maintain FAQs and administrative briefings.

Maintain up-to-date Scholar profiles, biographies and photos for the Trust’s website, social media and publications.

Facilitate community‑building among current Scholars through sharing news, arranging check‑ins, online meet‑ups and occasional social or academic gatherings.

Contribute to the Trust’s pastoral and administrative support of Scholars throughout their studies in the US. Monitor Scholar engagement, academic progress and wellbeing, escalating concerns where appropriate.

3. Financial Administration and Reporting

Prepare documentation for tuition payments, stipends and approved expenses; maintain timely and accurate payment schedules.

Provide administrative support to the Director regarding statutory reporting including the Annual Report and Charity Commission returns

 

4. Communications, Outreach and Marketing

Draft, edit and publish web content, including scholarship information, news updates, Scholar profiles and stories and application guidance. Maintain FAQ pages and ensure accurate, clear and up to date information for applicants.

Support digital communications, including social media posts, email campaigns and website announcements to highlight Scholar achievements and alumni successes. Maintain a database or scholar profiles which are published on the website.

Represent the Trust at events such as graduate fairs, widening participation meetings and university visits.

Maintain a database of UK Universities and partner organisations who support the Trust to reach the widest possible audience for promoting the scholarship. Build relationships with UK universities, careers teams and relevant networks to promote the scholarship.

5. Governance and Committee Support

You will work with the Director to provide the scheduling, servicing and administration of Trustee meetings, scholarship panels and standing committees, including the preparation of meeting agendas, briefing materials, papers and securely held meeting papers.

Draft accurate minutes of meetings and keep track of deadlines of actions.

Maintain governance records, committee membership lists and document archives. Support working groups and sub committees, including document preparation and follow up tasks.

Support the Director with the ongoing review and development of policies and procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose.

6. Executive admin and other functions

 

You will work with the Director on executive and administrative support, including diary management, correspondence, travel and expenses

Undertake other reasonable duties in support of the Trust’s work

Maintain accurate records in all internal systems, ensuring high data quality standards.

Job Overview

As the Advocacy Officer, you are responsible for building the profile, influence and credibility of IRC’s work with UK politicians, political parties and opinion formers on our humanitarian and development issues. You will be delivering our influence strategies and identifying strategic lobbying opportunities and enabling colleagues to exploit them fully through the use of innovative and creative tactics that help IRC stand out in a crowded arena. You will support building critical strategic relationships to help deliver on IRC’s objectives in parliament. You will contribute fresh insights and analysis to inform IRC’s influence approaches, tactics, and messages.

Major Responsibilities:

• Advocacy Strategy: Support in delivering advocacy strategies, collaborating with the Advocacy Manager, policy leads, public advocacy and communications colleagues, to advance IRC’s key advocacy objectives. 

• Political and policy monitoring: Analyse and report on relevant political and policy trends and regularly communicate across external relations teams.Expand IRC’s political reach by tracking and analysing shifting government positions, individuals engaging on our issues, and the politics around our issues. Track political processes and profile opportunities / events; including bills, select committee inquiries, and other parliamentary and political developments. 
• Stakeholder management: Building and maintaining relationships with a core group of political champions in and around Westminster, whilst raising IRC’s profile and awareness of our positions on key issues among a wider political audience in order to increase our ability to deliver policy change.
• Political engagement: Developing and providing regular written or oral briefings to MPs, Peers, government officials, and other decision makers on key policies and campaigns. Producing specific asks to parliamentarians on a regular basis – parliamentary questions, debate contributions etc.

• Communications: Provide market and audience expertise to communications team to craft public advocacy in the UK. Support team in developing communications strategy and develop materials for advocacy targets, including digital/social content and take actions.
• Teamwork: Support a positive team culture by acting openly and collaboratively, supporting colleagues in their work and sharing credit with others where appropriate.

Job Requirements:

Work experience: 

• Experience in delivering advocacy strategies in the UK. 2 years + of experience working on development and humanitarian issues. 

Demonstrated skills and competencies: 

• Proven success in delivering successful strategies that influence/impact on legislative and executive policy.
• Good understanding of relevant the UK’s political structures and processes, and familiar with leverage points within these institutions that can be targeted to achieve policy change objectives.
• Ability to innovatively and creatively apply influencing techniques and tactics to consistently make IRC stand out from the crowd in Westminster, Whitehall and with other key international stakeholders.

• Knowledge of development and humanitarian issues in the UK.

• Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate successfully with parliamentarians and colleagues in the humanitarian and development fields. 
• Strong writing skills and the ability to translate sophisticated material and data into coherent narratives that resonate with policymakers. 
• Experience of developing effective working relationships with colleagues, and working collaboratively in multi-disciplinary project teams.

We’re looking for a proactive and relationship-focused Corporate Partnerships Officer to support the delivery of high-value corporate partnerships that generate vital income for Blood Cancer UK. This role plays a key part in ensuring partnerships are delivered effectively, with a strong focus on stewardship, relationship management, and maintaining excellent engagement with corporate partners. Working closely with the Corporate Partnerships Manager, this role helps ensure partnerships achieve their financial and strategic objectives while delivering meaningful impact for people affected by blood cancer.

This is a collaborative and detail-oriented position, working across internal teams to support partnership planning, reporting, and impactful engagement activity. Externally, the role builds and maintains strong relationships within corporate partner organisations, acting as a key point of contact for day-to-day delivery. Strong organisation, communication, and relationship-building skills are essential, alongside a positive, solutions-focused approach and a commitment to supporting the growth and success of our partnerships portfolio.

Regular travel to the London office and partner offices will be required. The level of attendance may vary throughout the year, with increased time spent at partner offices during busy periods. This may range from a couple of days per week to approximately once per month, depending on business needs.
