Job description

Background Information

There are currently over 850,000 people living with dementia in the UK, and this is expected to increase to 1.1 million by 2025, and 2 million by 2050.

Dementia UK provides specialist dementia support for families through our Admiral Nurse service. When things get challenging or difficult for people with dementia and their families, Admiral Nurses work alongside them, giving the compassionate one-to-one support, expert guidance and practical solutions that can be difficult to find elsewhere. They are a lifeline - helping families to live more positively with dementia in the present, and to face the challenges of tomorrow with more confidence and less fear.

Our Admiral Nurses work with families across the country, face-to-face, in the community, in hospitals, care homes, hospices and other care providers. Admiral Nurses are reaching more families than ever before – but there’s a long way to go until everyone who needs this support can receive it. For those we can’t yet reach in person, the Admiral Nurse Dementia Helpline provides support at the end of the phone and on email seven days a week.

Purpose of Role

To help support the continuous output of high quality, targeted digital communications from Dementia UK, across all channels. Working closely with the Digital Communications Lead, the Brand and Content Lead and the Communications Assistant, the Digital Marketing Executive will help build into Dementia UK’s digital and content strategies, upholding and furthering the charity’s values and strategic aims across our website and social media content. This is an exciting role, with a broad remit; a great role to learn and develop your skills.

Please note only applications including a CV and covering letter will be considered.

Interviews likely to take place w/c 29th June 2020.
