The opportunity:

You will play an important role in Better Society Capital’s digital and investment operations, helping ensure that our investment data is complete, accurate, and ready to support decision-making across the organisation. As an Investment Data Officer, you will be responsible for managing and improving the quality of BSC’s investment data, both historical and ongoing, through careful review of fund documentation and the systematic entry and validation of information.

This is a detail-oriented role that requires an ability to gain a strong understanding of financial and investment concepts, combined with precision and rigour in data handling. You will work closely with colleagues in the Middle Office and Investment functions to improve and maintain our investment datasets, supporting a range of internal and external reporting needs. Your work will form the foundation for data analysis, portfolio monitoring, and strategic insight across the organisation.

What you will do:

You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the quality of investment data within BSC’s systems and databases, ensuring information is complete, reliable, and consistently structured.

Core Responsibilities

•  Data Entry and Validation: Maintain core investment data, by inputting new investment data accurately into BSC’s systems (e.g. Salesforce and Excel), ensuring that records are complete, consistent, and up to date.

• Document Review: Extract relevant data points from a range of fund documentation (e.g. investment agreements, fund reports, and financial statements), applying financial knowledge to identify and interpret the correct information.

• Data Cleaning and Migration: Review, clean, and standardise historical investment data to align with current data models and reporting structures.

• Research and Data Sourcing: Conduct desk-based research to identify and input publicly available data for funds, intermediaries, and investees (e.g. company information, financial figures, impact data).

• Quality Assurance: Conduct regular checks to identify missing, inconsistent, or incorrect data; support the implementation of data quality standards and validation processes.

• Collaboration and Support: Work with colleagues in the Middle Office and Investment functions to clarify data definitions, resolve discrepancies, and ensure a shared understanding of investment information.

• Documentation: Maintain clear documentation on data definitions, sources, and processes, contributing to a consistent and transparent data environment.

The Senior Project Officer sits with the Chief Executives Office supporting the Project & Programme Manager and is responsible for championing project management best practice across the wider organisation via training, consultations, and effective stakeholder management. The post holder is also responsible for scoping, planning, and delivering small-to-medium cross-organisational change projects that bring us closer to achieving our 10-year organisational strategy, ARUK: Towards a Cure.  

Key Responsibilities:

Championing Project Management Best Practice

• Act as an advisor, mentor, and source of central project management expertise for colleagues across the charity; offering tailored project management consultations which empower colleagues to deliver their own initiatives effectively.

We are looking for a Senior Direct Marketing Officer to manage a team to deliver a Lottery & Lead Generation programme for a well loved animal welfare charity.

This is a London based role with a 50% hybrid working model.

The Role

About the role

The FDIO will take the lead in developing the reports, dashboards and insight that directly support fundraising growth. Working closely with colleagues across the fundraising team, you’ll build accessible visualisations, monitor performance against key metrics, and support predictive analytics projects such as donor retention modelling and lifetime value forecasting.

You’ll also work hand-in-hand with our Database Manager to improve data quality, support data imports and ensure we are capturing information effectively across the organisation. About you

We’re looking for someone who has hands-on experience with CRM systems (ideally Raiser’s Edge or similar), strong reporting and visualisation skills, and the ability to work confidently with data importing and management processes. You’ll be analytical, curious, and a natural problem-solver with strong Excel skills and the ability to present data clearly to different audiences.

Experience of predictive analytics or advanced segmentation would be an advantage, but most importantly you’ll be someone who enjoys improving systems and has a proactive approach to data.

What the job involves

We’re looking for a Healthcare Improvement Senior Officer to join our Improvement Programmes Team, helping to deliver leadership programmes and quality improvement projects that support healthcare professionals to improve prostate cancer services across the UK. It’s a varied and rewarding role where no two days are quite the same.

Examples of projects supported include work around establishing better Active Surveillance so that more men can avoid unnecessary radical treatment; work to restructure and make faster the diagnostic pathway; work to coordinate with primary care and support earlier diagnosis; new surgical procedures that spare men the burden of incontinence. You’ll help design, deliver and facilitate improvement programmes, preparing materials, supporting participants and making sure recruitment runs smoothly and on time. You’ll lead on organising Clinical Advisory Group meetings, support our digital channels, including webpages and online learning resources, and take on ad hoc projects or events as necessary.

You’ll coordinate quality improvement projects, help schedule programmes, and work with colleagues across Prostate Cancer UK to increase the reach and impact of our work. Building strong relationships with programme alumni is an important part of the role, including developing newsletter content, sharing best practice and creating opportunities for continued involvement. You’ll also coach and mentor clinicians using Insights Discovery (a psychometric tool helping people understand their own and others' behavioural preferences and communication styles), helping to spread learning and improve care across services.

What we want from you

We’re looking for an effective communicator with strong written and verbal skills, able to adapt communication style for different audiences. Strong organisational skills are essential, with the ability to manage a varied workload, prioritise tasks and meet deadlines. You’ll have experience managing webpages and creating engaging online content, as well as delivering presentations and facilitating productive conversations.

You’ll bring experience of project management and be comfortable coaching, mentoring and/or supporting peer-based learning. Building strong relationships will come naturally to you, whether that’s with clinicians, colleagues, senior leaders or external partners. Science Communications Officer - FTC

The Officer is part of the Science Communications Team, which inspires and informs the public, donors and researchers about dementia research, the progress being made, wider developments in the field and the impact of Alzheimer’s Research UK (ARUK) funding.

The postholder plays a vital role in helping tell the story and scientific narrative of ARUK to a variety of audiences, cementing the charity’s role as a leading authority on dementia research in the UK and globally. They also help to create a clear, creative, and compelling case for the need for research and the progress being made towards finding a cure. This means the postholder will be an effective and inspiring communicator, creating and landing content covering ARUK research, impact and commentary across multiple communications channels and audiences.

Key responsibilities include finding and developing stories around ARUK research and helping to create and deliver communications plans around our research initiatives. This includes: pitching stories to media, creating social media and digital content, such as blogs and website summaries and help creating content for supporter newsletters. The officer will also be part of our press operations which involves handling media calls. This includes some out of hours cover.

The postholder will also be expected to engage in broader communications and events work both within the team and beyond it. This is a challenging, creative and busy role, but one that oversees a function that is critical to ARUK and its mission.

This is a 12-month Fixed Term Contract

Key Responsibilities:

· Support in the development and implementation of communications plans for ARUK launches and major initiatives, as well as responding to other stories in the news.

· Ensure that ARUK’s research portfolio, strategy and ambition is communicated to the public through digital channels including our website, blog and social media.

· Develop and maintain a first-rate working knowledge of the dementia research field, including ARUK’s portfolio, strategy, impact and history.

· Develop and maintain high-level playbooks that make the case for research and the work of ARUK, and devise and develop innovative and creative communications products and campaigns based on this narrative.

· Work with teams across the charity, including Research, Fundraising and Marketing to find and communicate suitable projects, success stories and researcher case studies for inclusion in public and supporter-facing communications.

· Contribute to ARUK’s proactive and reactive media communications by being part of the news desk, including out-of-hours queries (organised through an on-call rota, and occasional ad hoc) and finding ARUK-related newsworthy stories to pitch to the media.

· Help monitor and showcase the impact of our media activity and contribute to media training ARUK employees.

· Help manage multiple short- and long-term projects, working with teams within the charity and key external stakeholders.

· Deliver presentations about dementia and our communications around dementia and research as part of employee and external events.

· Maintain a watching brief of the dementia research sector to identify emerging technologies and trends that might benefit ARUK’s work.

· Develop and maintain relationships with a wide network of experts from across the dementia research field, including through attending research conferences and representing ARUK.

· Ensure communications activities comply with ARUK’s tone, branding and style guide.

Camcycle is a bold and influential cycle advocacy charity. Our Communications Officer is responsible for delivering clear, compelling and consistent print, digital and in-person communications to support Camcycle’s campaign work and engage with our varied audiences. They will help to secure and grow our charity’s position as a knowledgeable, trusted voice on local transport, as well as amplifying the voices of local cyclists and potential cyclists across the region.

Building on Camcycle’s 30 years of campaigning expertise and community engagement, the role holder will help to build our archive of local transport knowledge and best practice, collating resources that empower community activists to successfully achieve better walking, cycling and public spaces in their neighbourhoods. They will provide an essential link between grassroots groups and transport decision-makers, helping local people make their voices heard in public meetings and consultations. They will also ensure that cycling policies and infrastructure respond to the existing needs of Cambridgeshire’s communities while being ready for a growing region and a more sustainable, equitable future.
 

Responsibilities include:

• Planning and executing compelling communications campaigns that inspire others and enable them to take action. 

• Building and maintaining relationships with stakeholders including media outlets, creative agencies and suppliers, officers, councillors, community groups and Camcycle members.

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join a lively, dynamic and driven fundraising events team. Over the last decade, Breast Cancer Now has built up a strong events function, with community fundraising and events currently accounting for nearly a quarter of the charity’s overall voluntary income.

Managing the delivery of our varied portfolio of challenge events, currently comprising of running, cycling, swimming and trekking challenges and engagement events such as our Carols by Candlelight, supporter focussed events and key internal events too.
