About you
A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Marketing and Communications Manager to be responsible for the marketing and external communication of all RHN services and charitable activity. This is a specialist marketing and communications role and your primary focus will be on developing and running marketing campaigns, producing promotional materials and identifying opportunities for growth. Specifically, the RHN wishes to increase growth and income through marketing to commissioners, referrers, families, clinical networks, partners, funders and all external media to maximise the impact of targeted marketing campaigns. The RHN has ambitious plans to grow its profile and a key part of achieving this is by targeting marketing collateral to key audiences.
With outstanding interpersonal and writing skills, we are looking for candidates with demonstrable experience of working in a marketing communications role and implementing effective marketing campaigns across a range of channels, ideally within a complex organisation or healthcare setting. Candidates must have experience of developing creative and innovative marketing and communications campaigns as well as have the ability to manage conflicting priorities and effectively managing multiple projects simultaneously. Excellent problem solving skills are also essential along with strong organisational and planning skills, as well as experience of budget management.
This is a full-time position but we are also happy to consider applications from candidates looking to work a minimum of 3 days a week, ideally all 3 on site.

About The Role:
The successful candidate will support the Community and Challenge Event Manager to find ways to increase engagement and bring fresh ideas to the team and steward fundraisers. This role will be responsible for maximising the value of fundraisers by helping to develop and deliver their supporter journey with MQ, whilst supporting the wider marketing team with producing content including blogs and social media.
Here's a summary of your key responsibilities:

About You:
This role is for you, if you have 1+ years’ experience in supporting community and events fundraising and track record of achieving financial targets and key objectives.
We need someone with experience of working on challenge events as well as knowledge of marketing and social media management.
You'll need to be organised, creative and proactive.
Experience of Blackbaud’s Raiser’s Edge/NXT is desirable but not essential.

The role is remotely based, or you can choose to work from one of our services. Occasional travel to Change Grow Live sites will be required for team meetings. Responsibilities
Key Activities:
- Support the delivery of the internal communications and engagement strategy
- Coordinate the day-to-day requirements of the organisation's SharePoint:-
- Content – publish content that aligns with publishing standards
- Governance – manage the approval, review, and retention process to ensure information is user-centred, clear, and up to date
- Web design – support standards of UI/UX, accessibility and search optimisation
- Technical support – develop and deliver SharePoint solutions by working with colleagues in the IT department and testing with users
- Continuous improvement – use analytics, user feedback and Microsoft updates to progress the intranet roadmap
- Support the implementation and management of new employee channels such as Viva Engage and other applications in the Microsoft Viva suite
- Community management – proactively guide community managers to maintain healthy and compliant platforms
- Measure, track, and evaluate platform engagement metrics to assess the effectiveness and make data-driven recommendations for improvements
- Advise and work collaboratively with colleagues to gather and prioritise requirements for channel enhancements, new features, and improvements
- Share best practice, upskill, and empower staff to improve how they communicate and engage
- Advocate Change Grow Live’s brand, including tone of voice, and shape clear messages that are aligned to the organisation’s values
About You:
Education Knowledge and Experience (essential):
- Qualification in a relevant subject, or the equivalent experience in a similar role.
- 3+ years' experience in a communication, marketing, digital, or technology role.
- Experience managing digital channels, e.g. intranets/websites/social media.
- Strong relationship management and interpersonal skills.
Abilities and Skills (essential):
- Excellent communicator, comfortable with presenting ideas.
- Understanding of digital accessibility with the ability to present complex information in an accessible, jargon free format.
- Highly organised, able to manage multiple tasks and work autonomously.

About the role:
The Communications Officer will work across all channels to raise the profile of Blagrave and its partners and the work they do. You'll oversee the day to day management of our social media channels, website, and newsletter, and will leverage your creativity and proficiency in copywriting and content creation across the platforms. With a keen eye for detail, you'll work closely with the team to develop comms outputs, effectively delivering our message so that the right content reaches the right audiences, and our digital channels continue to grow.
This role is subject to Basic DBS. Candidates must be eligible to work in the UK.
Key responsibilities
Social media
- Maintain Blagrave’s social media accounts, and work with the wider team to ensure a regular social media presence for Blagrave.
- Research, create, and publish content for Blagrave’s social media platforms. This includes writing, getting approval and scheduling content, and creating appropriate imagery that is engaging and aligned to Blagrave’s style guide.
- Proactively monitor our social media channels, responding as relevant.
- Monitor social media outputs of other charitable foundations and youth organisations to inspire and inform Blagrave’s communications output.
- Strengthen Blagrave’s digital output/presence and reach by tracking analytics via monthly reporting on social media performance, making recommendations of how we can engage with audiences more effectively
Website
- Regularly update and maintain the organisation’s website, liaising with colleagues to ensure all content is current and relevant.
- Publish regular blog posts and vacancies, when required.
Wider comms
- Liaise with colleagues in other teams to understand and support them in their comms needs, implementing internal / external comms initiatives as required.
- Design, draft and circulate internal and external comms outputs and suggest new ways to communicate our messages to our audiences.
- Be a guardian of Blagrave’s tone and brand identity, reviewing communications outputs prepared by the team.
- Share relevant comms assets and content to external stakeholders as required.
- Document Comms processes.
- Monitor Blagrave’s communication budget, liaising with the Head of Operations and Finance and Governance Manager.
Other
- Provide general support to the Blagrave team where additional capacity is needed across all areas of work.
- Represent the Blagrave Trust externally at meetings when required.

- Manage dialogue with Scouts social media communities by responding to and driving conversations
What we are looking for in our Social Media Officer:
- Excellent knowledge of mainstream social media platforms including Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, X (formerly Twitter) and Facebook, an understanding of their content formats and how audiences use them.
- Digital content creation experience for social media for a brand
- Video content creation: including attending events and video shoots to get mobile and platform friendly content to engage various audiences and editing footage in a way that suits the platform
- Successful experience of using social media platforms to run paid campaigns to engage new audiences by interests/demographics
- Experience discussing customer or user needs with colleagues and stakeholders to align around the customer/user’s goals.
- Experience testing content and interpreting data.
- Demonstrable experience of growing and maintaining social media communities, including reputation management
