Who we are looking for

We are looking for a Senior Digital Officer to join our ambitious and growing type 1 diabetes charity, JDRF, as part of the digital and marketing team. 

You will build our reach by ensuring our website is search engine optimised and will champion optimisation with all content providers across the organisation. You will build landing pages and microsites for fundraising campaigns across various platforms, complete user experience research to develop compelling user journeys and will evaluate the performance of our digital channels. Occasionally, you will also support JDRF’s paid media campaigns.

JOB PURPOSE

As part of the Brand and Marketing team, the Social Media Officer will lead on social media strategy for the organization, working closely with teams across Magic Breakfast to develop and diversify our presence on social media. Through innovative, compelling content creation the Social Media Officer will raise awareness of our work and the Magic Breakfast brand. The role's aims are to reach and engage new audiences and to strengthen brand advocacy with exisiting target audiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Develop Magic Breakfast social media channels to grow an engaging environment for people with lived experience of childhood morning hunger and our wider supporter network.
• Develop and deliver effective strategies that optimise and grow our social media channels.
• Liase with both Magic Breakfast and corporate partners' design, PR and social media agencies to deliver effective and timely campaigns
• Monitor, improve (through testing and optimisation) and report on the performance and effectiveness of social media content and campaigns
• Write impactful and engaging social posts, sourcing approprtiate imagery and developing video content in collaboration with the Multimedia Producer.

About the role  
As Crisis’ Media and Artist Liaison Officer, you will play a key role in securing impactful media coverage that inspires the public and politicians to join our fight to end homelessness by raising awareness of our influencing campaigns and fundraising events. You will help to build Crisis’ profile by bringing to life our work, demonstrating how we end people’s homelessness for good through education, training and support with housing, employment, and health. You’ll also identify, build and nurture relationships with artists and influencers to secure their support for Crisis and our work, whether that be political campaigning, fundraising or our commercial and retail offering. 

Your role will be creative and varied. You’ll work with our frontline staff to identify people facing homelessness who want to share their stories and empower them to do so. You’ll help create hard-hitting news stories and media hooks that engages our audiences and raises awareness of Crisis’ work. You’ll also work with our Artist Liaison Manager to utilise our high-profile supporters and ambassadors to inspire and raise awareness of our cause with key audiences and develop creative and engaging ways to amplify our media campaigns on social media. You will also help make the most of reactive opportunities that come through to our press office and help build strong relationships with key journalists.   

Location: Based in London office (Working from home is an option in line with Crisis’ Hybrid Working policy with a minimum of two days a week working in the office)

About you  
To be successful in this role you will have:  

• Experience of working within a busy press office environment/ PR agency or as a journalist.    

• Experience of generating engaging and impactful media and talent plans that secure stand out coverage across news, consumer, online and regional media.   

• Excellent writing skills, with the ability to write for a range of audiences and outlets including news, consumer, and trade.  

• Experience of working with high profile people (including influencers) and management teams.    

• Experience of working with and interviewing case studies, identifying and preparing stories for the media and empowering people to share their experience.

We are looking for a proactive and passionate individual with a strong background in digital marketing and fundraising to help us bring rivers back to life.

Our rivers face more threats than ever. SERT’s Working with Communities Team educates and engages local communities and other stakeholders who have the power, influence (and money!) to help make our rivers thrive again.  This role will play a key part in making this happen by helping us reach more people from a wider range of audiences, and connecting them to the issues facing rivers, the solutions that will make a difference and by raising our profile in the expert delivery of them.

This new role within our Working with Communities Team will develop and implement a digital strategy to amplify and support SERT’s presence through increased brand profile, supporter acquisition and engagement and donated revenue. Position Summary/ Objective

A new role within our European region, the Paid Social Media Specialist will be working closely with our Senior Digital Marketing Lead (UK) to deliver world-class paid media campaigns on multiple digital platforms in multiple countries.

This role will work across IFAW’s four fundraising markets in Europe: France, Germany, Netherlands and the UK to grow our paid media revenue. The role will focus on Social and Search advertising but also to experiment with new emerging platforms.

Directly reporting to the Senior Digital Marking Lead in the UK this role will coordinate and plan new paid social campaigns and content, working closely with the Digital Leads, and the Senior Fundraising and Marketing Manager, to roll these out across our markets.  You will work across a variety of channels such as Meta/Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Twitter, Reddit, Bing, Google, YouTube, Pinterest, Spotify and more.

Role and Responsibilities

Working with the Digital Marketing Lead in each country (France, Germany, Netherlands and UK), the role will:

· Coordinate, develop, execute, and optimize paid digital campaigns from conception to launch and completion across EU fundraising markets.

· Building out media buys for various ad platforms and overseeing the day-to-day execution of paid media to support each market.

· Work closely with Digital Marketing Leads to agree on campaigns, budget allocation and spend, ad grouping and audience targeting.

· Support and contribute to the creative process of building advertising campaigns. Including video creation specifically for advertising.

· Conduct in-depth keyword and website research, and suggest landing pages optimization

· Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies.

· Working cross-departmentally, specifically with the Content team.

· Identify and suggest new emerging platforms and avenues for digital outreach

Qualifications and Education Requirements

· 5 + years’ experience with digital paid media, specifically with Meta and Google advertising.

· Excellent understanding of creating and implementing paid media campaigns with prior campaign examples (across multiple countries/markets a plus). 

· Ideally completed advertising certifications (for example, Meta Certified Media Buying Professional, Google Analytics 

· Extensive experience in creating digital ad assets and copy, including video.  

· Video creation skills specifically for advertising, experience working with Adobe Creative Suite tools

· Fluency in working with analytics platforms, for example Looker Studio

· Goal driven, extremely analytical, with the ability to make data-based decisions and conclusions

· Excellent communication skills to present the results of campaign performance verbally, as well as provide clear and concise reports.

· Fluent English (spoken French, German or Dutch is a plus).

· Interest in IFAW’s programmatic work and global wildlife conservation issues

· Self-starter with ability to jump into a hectic situation to provide support

· Highly organized and self-motivated; able to manage and prioritize multiple projects, desire and capability to work in agile, fast-paced and demanding environment

Purpose of the Role

The Digital Marketing Manager will implement and help develop a new digital marketing strategy, crucial to the ongoing development of ArtsEd’s profile and reputation and the successful delivery of all our programmes.

Understanding the needs of current and prospective students and pupils and their parents, and being able to identify digital plans and initiatives which will enable ArtsEd to meet both the long and short-term needs is a central aspect of the role.

The Digital Marketing Manager will lead in the planning and implementation of digitally creative and customer focused campaigns and will be responsible for the achievement of student and pupil recruitment targets. They will work closely with senior staff and the rest of the Marketing team to deliver highly effective experiences to all stakeholders and potential stakeholders.

The Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for the continuing development of ArtsEd’s online profile amongst all of our target audiences, including high-level industry connections, potential supporters and the local community, alongside potential students, pupils and parents.

In addition, the Digital Marketing Manager will be responsible for ensuring that ArtsEd’s messaging is consistent, innovative and compelling across all platforms.

Digital Marketing

• Plan and execute digital marketing, including SEO/SEM, email, social media and display advertising campaigns in collaboration with the wider marketing team.
• Use digital marketing expertise to create effective user funnels to optimise conversion rates, tracking user behaviour in order to refine processes.

• Collaborate closely with staff across the organisation to identify storytelling opportunities to ensure a full understanding of ArtsEd’s broad range of target audiences.

• Set up digital advertising campaigns through Meta, Google Ads and other platforms

• Utilise excellent graphic design skills to collaborate with the team on the design and delivery of different digital campaigns for all stakeholder groups. This will include mass e-mails, social media posts and digital collateral as required.
• Instrument conversion points and optimize user funnels.
• Monitor social media communications (both comments on posts and direct messages) and respond in a timely and appropriate manner.

Design & Brand

• Be a guardian of the ArtsEd brand, ensuring correct and effective use of our branding and house style both internally and externally.
• Ensure all digital information is accurate, up to date and relevant.
• Ensure ArtsEd embraces and celebrates diversity and inclusion through all digital marketing touchpoints.
• Develop and manage image library including liaising with relevant staff to select images, co-ordinating in-house photography and film requirements, up-dating plasma screen and fulfilling external requests for images.
• Ensure all touchpoints communicate ArtsEd visual identity. Working with the wider Marketing team to review and implement ArtsEd brand architecture structure on digital platforms

Graphic Design

• Create print and digital advertising material using Canva or similar software.
• Design and create in-house digital signage and support the Marketing Officer where needed.
• Support the print production process, liaising with printers and publications, proof reading and adapting print collateral as required.

Recruitment

• Lead on the implementation and delivery of a robust digital marketing strategy to optimise student and pupil recruitment across the whole organisation. This will include:
• Building on existing digital activity to maximise its reach and impact against all of our target audiences, including digital and associated print advertising.
• Managing an associated  programme of recruitment focused events and activities, both virtual and face-to-face, to raise our profile and to maximise our enquires, registrations, applications and acceptances across all of our activities.
• Supporting the relevant teams in the delivery of this programme, which will include existing activity e.g. Day School and Sixth Form Open Days, degree audition days and our outreach programme.
• To programme our email marketing conversion communication using software Mailer Lite/MailChimp
• Overseeing the production of all marketing collateral.

Social Media

• Overseeing the planning and delivery of a social media plan that aligns with and enhances all strands of the marketing and communications strategy
• Create engaging and content drive social media assets.
• Oversee and a schedule the delivery of day-to-day social media content
• Work with the marketing officer to Launch as short form video content strategy for all platforms with aligns with the Marketing and organisations strategy.
• Be the expert in understanding movements regarding social networks ensuring ArtsEd has a presence and brand building content on the right platforms.

Website

• Manage through line managed staff all aspects of the ArtsEd website, ensuring that it remains relevant to all users at all times. This will include:-
• Ensuring factual content is kept up-to-date, imagery and video is regularly refreshed and that the overall site reflects ArtsEd’s unique offer.
• Identifying opportunities to create and update brand focused content

Market Analysis/Planning

• Review and analysis of data to identify competitor tactics, market trends, new opportunities and challenges.
• Ability to understand different audiences and relevant content to ensure successful conversion rates and enhance the student and stakeholders experience.
• Explore  new methods for collection of data and how this can be used to improve recruitment processes
• Complete quarterly digital impact reports
• Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
• Implement regular surveys of students and staff, collecting quantitative and qualitative material to support marketing and communication campaigns.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and best practices in online marketing and measurement.
• Shape outcome based on data.

Digital Marketing Manager

Working with the Head of Brand and Marketing the successful candidate for this role will work to implement a new digital acquisition and engagement strategy for the charity’s work and collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify and maximise digital marketing opportunities to meet the charity’s objectives.

Reporting to the Head of Brand & Marketing, you will be responsible for development and delivery of the organisational digital marketing strategy and plans including leading on all digital aspects of Butterfly Conservation marketing campaigns including its hero campaign Wild Spaces and Big Butterfly Count. You will be responsible for managing the day-to-day digital marketing channels including social media, email marketing, websites, SEO, PPC, championing a digital first approach making evidence led decisions to ensure Butterfly Conservation is at the forefront of digital marketing trends. You will be responsible for analysing performance of digital marketing campaigns and making insight led decisions and recommendations, presenting your finding to internal stakeholders.

This role is a balance between strategic planning and operational delivery.
