To be successful in the role, successful candidate will need:

• Thorough practical understanding and experience of working within the context of locally led partnership model in international development.

Location: This role is contractually based in Central London; however, we currently operate a hybrid working model with regular whole team face to face meetings once a month. The Gender & Development Network (GADN) brings together expert NGOs, consultants, academics and individuals committed to working on gender equality, development and women’s rights issues. Our role is to support our members by sharing information and expertise, to undertake and disseminate research, and to provide expert advice and comment on government policies and projects.

Overall role of the Network Coordinator

The Network Coordinator is part of a small team comprising of the Director, Head of Policy, Network Coordinator, Communications and Policy Assistant and volunteers.

The Network Coordinator role lies at the heart of the network ensuring it functions efficiently while leading our activities to support our members in their work on gender equality and women’s rights.  They work alongside women’s rights advocates and practitioners across a range of issues within the international development sector, while ensuring that the organisation runs smoothly.

Specifically, the role is to:

• Manage the network’s finances and funding processes
• Manage the administration of the Secretariat
• Coordinate support to the network’s members
• Coordinate support for the different branches of the network

Specific Tasks

1. Manage the network’s finances and funding processes

• Manage the finances and accounts including invoices, receipts, payments, book-keeping and quarterly budget updates and liaising with GADN’s accountants and payroll providers
• Complete all required financial reports and file tax returns
• Manage annual membership subscriptions
• Work with the Director in identifying and securing core grant funding
• Manage the administration of grant funding including invoices, activity monitoring, donor reports and relations with any sub-grantees

2. Manage the administration of the Secretariat

• Produce GADN’s Annual Review
• Respond to external enquiries in the ‘Coordinator’ and ‘Recruitment’ inboxes
• Manage GADN volunteers
• Keep all HR and other files and records in order
• Maintain internal communications systems (email, calendars, document sharing, team meetings) 
• Manage the monitoring and evaluation processes of the network
• Ensure all legal reporting requirements are met

3. Coordinate support to the network’s members

• Act as a friendly, supportive and approachable face of the network
• Provide support to the network’s Working Groups, liaising closely with their Chairs
• Organise four Members’ Meetings per year, working with others in the team
• Organise other events and support for network members working with others in the team
• Induct new members
• Respond to requests for information from members

4. Coordinate support for the different branches of the network

• Service the Board of Trustees including arranging meetings, preparing papers and taking minutes
• Organise and minute meetings of the Network’s Advisory Group and Chairs of Working Groups
• Ensure communications and updates are shared between different branches of the network including reporting to the Board on Working Group activities
• Administer annual planning processes and support the development of the network’s next three-year strategy

The post is line managed by the Director. The Network Coordinator will also work closely with the Head of Policy, Communications and Policy Assistant, Co-Chairs of the Board, Treasurer, Working Group Chairs and members of the Advisory Group.

What the job involves

We're looking for a Workplace Health and Safety Manager to join our vibrant charity. This is a diverse and interesting role. You’ll play a key role in the safe and smooth running of our office, compliance, health and safety as well as facilities administration. As a ‘go to’ Workplace manager at the charity you’ll spend a few days a week working out of our London Office. 1. Background

Chance to Shine is a national children’s charity. We change young people’s lives through cricket giving them the opportunity to play, learn and develop through the sport. We keep them physically active, teach them vital skills like teamwork, communication and leadership. And above all, they have fun.

Since 2005 our Chance to Shine Schools programme has helped reverse the decline of cricket in state schools with millions of boys and girls in over 13,000 state schools playing and learning through cricket. Chance to Shine Street supports young people in under-served communities to access and benefit from cricket in a free, inclusive, fun and fast-paced tape ball environment.

The Fundraising Team is tasked with helping Chance to Shine achieve its ambition. Securing new funding partnerships and the stewardship of existing donors across a range of funding streams: Corporate, Events, Trusts and Foundations, Individual giving, and statutory funding to support the delivery of Chance to Shine programmes.

The Head of Fundraising role will play a key part in leading the Fundraising team to success.

This is an exciting time to be joining the Fundraising team as our programmes are well established with excellent support from key stakeholders, especially ECB and Sport England. 

We are looking for an energetic, enthusiastic and pro-active individual with a strong track record in fundraising to help drive the charity forward. The role does not require an understanding of cricket but does require an enthusiasm towards changing children and young people’s lives. The role is office based at The Kia Oval, London, however we operate flexible working and as such team members currently work from the office on average about 2 days per week. The role of Head of Fundraising will need to be flexible to attend meetings with prospective supporters and stakeholders.

2. Purpose of the role

The Head of Fundraising will report into the Director of Strategy & Fundraising and will lead the Fundraising team to successfully deliver ambitious departmental plans which will form the cornerstone of what the charity is able to achieve.

The Head of Fundraising will work closely with the Director of Strategy & Fundraising to ensure that the Fundraising department’s work is well-aligned to wider organisational strategy. This will include setting ambitious, but realistic targets with clear implementation plans.

What’s the role?

Reporting to Opportunity Green’s Legal Director, you will be leading our sustainable finance legal interventions, with an initial focus on the aviation and shipping sectors, and you will be responsible for developing our sustainable finance workstream.

You will be working at the cutting edge of climate law in new and emerging areas, and will be required to identify and develop strategic legal action ideas that could help to drive change across the full legal lifecycle, from delivering policy-level change, to crystallizing the financial risk of investment in inadequate climate action, to shifting the investment profile of ineffective transition activities through bringing corporate accountability and greenwashing actions.  

You will be responsible for the day-to-day development and running of cases and other non-contentious legal actions, including coordination with external counsel where relevant. You will also work closely with a wide range of NGOs with technical, scientific, and campaigning expertise.  

We are particularly interested in applications from those with a background in financial law and litigation.

Our legal team is already achieving outsized impact with a great team spirit. We are looking for someone who is analytical and organised, but who is also a people person with great communication skills, a collaborative approach and a passion for fighting climate change. The Head of Programme Funding will manage and provide strong leadership to a dynamic team of six who support the Action Against Hunger Network to position for, access and deliver programmes with UK institutional funding, in line with the International Strategic Plan 3 (2021-5). Key donors include FCDO, DEC, Start Fund, Power of Nutrition and ELRHA.

The post holder will strengthen and expand the programme funding portfolio through the implementation of our 5-year Programme Funding Strategy and UK Government Engagement Strategy, ensuring our global Network secure and manage UK Aid and other UK funding, engaging with the UK Government and wider sector. Working closely with key stakeholders across Action Against Hunger UK, the post holder will bring a strategic and tactical approach to engagement and positioning which combines our UK and Global priorities to those of our important funding stakeholders – not least the UK Government at National, regional and local levels. The post holder will also seek to diversify our programme funding portfolio through expanding commercial contracts, climate change programming and the identification and support of funding opportunities for Nutrition, MEAL, Advocacy and UK Programme teams.

About the position

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver an HR strategy in collaboration with SLT that supports the organisation to deliver on its overall strategy as well as its Diversity, Equity and Inclusion vision and action plan.
