Group Financial Controller | London | Permanent | £97,166 - £109,699 + Benefits

For a complex global organisation undergoing significant change and transformation, we are recruiting a permanent Group Financial Controller. This role will lead all global financial accounting and statutory reporting. It will support the CFO and Global FD in the leadership and management of all financial accounting, including corporate statutory reporting across the Charity group and 40+ subsidiaries, month-end close and financial compliance, consolidation and balance sheet reporting, audit, short-term cash flow forecasting and working capital management including inter-company. Leading a large multi-disciplined team via 6 direct reports, the Group Financial Controller will also manage the performance of the offshore Managed Service Provider and SAP finance processes.

Main Duties:

• As part of the Finance Leadership Team, direct and manage finance staff globally
• Lead the improvement of the quality of the financial close processes in SAP and the accuracy of data
• Lead and deliver monthly reporting and insight on balance sheet for inclusion in MI
• Lead delivery of embedding and improving a new weekly 13-week cash-flow forecasts model
• Lead improvements to cash forecasting at entity level to the direct method short term 13-week cash flow forecast
• Lead and deliver year-end reporting process in accordance with UK GAAP and Charities SORP
• Coordinate preparation and audit of statutory accounts for all entities globally
• Ensure financial policy framework is robust and clears all accounting and reporting standards
• Oversee establishing of new subsidiaries, branches and legal entities globally, working with global colleagues across Tax and Legal
• Work with the shared services offshore MSP (TCS) and Head of Global Processes to ensure continuous improvement of delivery
• Work with the Director of FP&A to ensure framework is robust to meet all monthly MI and statutory reporting
• Act as key change agent for all finance change projects
• Develop the Group and Global Finance Team, and ensure duplication of activities across the SSC, regions and countries are reduced

• Assist with account creation, access issues, and user setup across platforms
• Partner with RAP’s IT vendor to triage tech issues, coordinate hardware/software purchases, and keep inventories updated. Support onboarding logistics, including device prep, new account setup, and tools orientation for new hires.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• 3+ years of experience in an administrative, finance, operations, or executive support role.
• Profiles with backgrounds in nonprofit operations, executive assistance, virtual assistance, or operations analysis are a strong fit.
• Fluent in English; fluency or professional working proficiency in other global languages, particularly in French, highly valued.
• Familiarity with collaborative tools and systems such as Microsoft Office, SAGE Intacct, SharePoint, Monday, or similar. Experience managing scheduling or contracts workflows, especially across international time zones. Some exposure to finance or accounting processes (e.g., invoice processing, expense tracking, document management).

About the Role

We seek two analytic and entrepreneurial Research Managers to contribute to our ambitious research agenda, and scale the Charity Entrepreneurship Incubation Program from launching ~12 charities per year to 20. Future Growth Trajectories

The AIM research team is an excellent training and development ground for researchers. Over time, we expect research managers to gain increasing degrees of independence and eventually own work streams as senior research managers.

UK for UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency's national charity partner, is looking for an ambitious and proactive team player who can join us as a Senior Officer, Direct Marketing, within the Individual Giving Team.

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead on the overall donor development offline programme for both cash and committed donors, ensuring a strong onboarding and onward journey is in place, and that key touchpoints are leveraged to deepen engagement and increase donors’ Lifetime Value.
• Work with digital fundraising colleagues to create integrated, multichannel campaigns and an effective, donor-first giving journey.
• Provide colleagues with strategic guidance, and technical support if required, to deliver warm appeals via Direct Mail that meet six-figures campaign targets.
• Manage our Telemarketing programme, to successfully launch and deliver activities such as conversion, upgrade, reactivation, and welcome calling.
• Ensure an insight-led thanking programme is in place, with key moments identified throughout the year to acknowledge support and communicate impact.
• Work with key stakeholders across digital and offline teams to ensure we maintain a strong retention rate whilst growing our Regular Giving file.
• Remain flexible and rapidly respond to emergency situations.
• Work with our Data team to identify the best approach to data and segmentation for each project.
• Manage production processes, developing supplier briefs and managing approval stages and end of campaign reviews.
• Work with our suppliers to ensure campaign fulfilment is in place and collaborate with our Supporter Care function to monitor responses and identify issues/opportunities.
• Ensure cost effective fundraising, manage individual campaign budgets and identify opportunities to improve ROIs.
• Stay up to date with issues affecting displaced & refugee communities, campaigns from international teams and reports from the field. Scope new fundraising themes.

Background information

The Director of Business Development is primarily focussed on growing commercial opportunities and engaging at a strategic partnership and corporate level. The Head of Fundraising and Communications will boost the capacity and leadership of the team to develop voluntary fundraising, lead on smaller corporate partnerships, develop grants and trusts income, create and deliver headline grabbing campaigns that appeal to the wider public thereby developing an individual giving function and lead on organisational communications, including fundraising comms. Job description 

Education

• A relevant professional qualification at SCQF Level 9 or above or equivalent knowledge acquired by other means.

Experience

• Experience in both fundraising (multiple and sustainable income streams) and communications(fundraising and organisation-wide), with evidence of developing strategy and delivery as well as management and leadership of these areas.

• Proven success in securing  income through a range of income channels including grants and trusts, partnerships, running campaigns, and raising profile.
