Summary of the role:
The Director of Income Generation & Marketing will lead the design and delivery of an ambitious, innovative, and sustainable income generation and marketing strategy. This role is responsible for significantly growing Muslim Aid’s financial resources, enhancing its brand presence in the UK and internationally, and expanding its footprint in new and emerging economic markets, ensuring all activity is firmly aligned to Muslim Aid’s mission and values.
The Director will drive high impact fundraising initiatives across multiple channels, working closely with Country Directors, global teams, and other SLT colleagues to unlock new funding opportunities, diversity income streams and maximise donor engagement. They will cultivate strategic partnerships with corporate, institutional, and philanthropic stakeholders, while ensuring the highest standards of compliance, governance, and ethical fundraising practice.
This is a result driven leadership role, accountable for delivering measurable income growth, strengthening market positioning, building and developing a high performing team, and ensuring Muslim Aid’s brand and fundraising activities are aligned with organisational priorities and global impact goals.
About the Role:
- Lead the development and delivery of a bold, multi-channel income generation strategy planning philanthropy, digital, institutional, corporate, and brand led campaigns that drives ambitious, measurable growth and long-term sustainability.
- Provide strategic oversight of all fundraising activities, ensuring quality, compliance, and consistency with global standards, organisational policies, and ethical fundraising practices.
- Lead the design and delivery of innovative, results-driven fundraising campaigns across public, major donors, institutional, corporate, volunteer, and digital channels, ensuring measurable growth and strong return on investment.

About You:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Degree or higher in Business Administration, Marketing, Fundraising, or a related field.
- Extensive senior level experience leading fundraising and income generation in a nonprofit or international development context.
- Proven track record of designing and delivering multi-channel fundraising strategies that drive significant income growth.

Lead and Inspire

Manage and Nurture
- Team Management: Line manage key fundraising staff, ensuring they have the support and resources needed.

- Monitoring & Reporting: Track performance indicators, identify risks, and ensure timely corrective actions.

We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated Director to join our team. This pivotal role will be responsible for driving our fundraising efforts, developing relationships, building and managing cross organisational and corporate partnerships, and expanding our network to support and enhance our programmes. Over the last few months, CPF has been looking into upcoming tender opportunities and recently finished a feasibility study which has provided recommendations on some of the most viable partnership opportunities and expanded service provisions that could play a vital role in moving forward. These are built around three main priority areas – sustaining and expanding the advocacy service, building long-term and mutually beneficial partnerships with other organisations that result in additional service provisions, and expanding the use of the current premise to create a warm and welcoming space throughout the week and into the evenings.
The Director will be expected to take on some of the current conversations and plans around the three priority areas of the advocacy service, partnerships and creating a warm and welcome space; identifying the most viable way to bring in sustainable funding for these. The Director will be responsible for fundraising and income generation and they will be expected to identify grants and funding opportunities and varied income generation sources for the organisation. They will also develop fundraising strategies, cultivate relationships with donors and sponsors, identify funding, write bids and explore grant opportunities to ensure the charity has the resources to fulfil its mission.

JOB PURPOSE

SCOPE OF THE JOB
As Director, you will have a large amount of freedom to drive change, grow the charity, set the strategic vision going forwards and use your talents and leadership to ensure INSPIRE thrives. You are to ensure the charity has sufficient funds to cover all routine day-to-day expenses, to pay invoices quarterly for current projects and to plan for taking on medical research projects which are vetted by the National Science Committee (NSC) and agreed by the Board of Trustees. You will be actively supported by a Board of Trustees, to whom you report in your role as Director.
You should be qualified to degree level, ideally with an MBA or an equivalent business qualification. Some knowledge of spinal cord injury and its effects on an individual or of disability more broadly would be advantageous, as well as having a proven fundraising background from working in the 3rd Sector. The ideal candidate will have the following skills:
• Financial management or accountancy knowledge
• A high level of written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent inter-personal skills and the ability to interact with people from all backgrounds
• Standard keyboard skills including the ability to summarise meetings succinctly and clearly

You will play a pivotal role in growing income across the Hospice and leading new, relationship-based approaches to fundraising.
With responsibility for Major Donors, Trusts and Foundations, and Regular and Mid-Value Giving you will create and lead a new strategy to develop these areas and manage and grow a portfolio of high-value relationships.
You will also work hand in hand with Hospice colleagues to identify and curate exciting fundraising propositions, helping to raise strategic funds for our services.
As a leader in the fundraising team, you will provide coaching and management to your team and deputise for the Director Fundraising.
You will be central in forming close working relationships across the Hospice and with the Board of Trustees, enabling a whole hospice approach to fundraising.

- Fundraising Success: At least six years’ experience operating in a Major Gifts or Trusts and Foundations role and a track record of personally securing and stewarding five and six figure gifts
- Strategic thinker: Experience of researching, developing and implementing new strategies, and associated budgets and KPIs, and of developing portfolios, and prospect management tools
- Leading and inspiring: At least four years’ experience of inspiring, managing and developing 1+ line reports
- Proposition development: Creative in outlook and with experience of developing donor-centric fundraising propositions

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced leader, with a passion for giving children the best possible start and with a strong belief in the power of communities. The role will work both locally and nationally, as part of the wider team.
The Director will manage our client’s existing programme in Redcar and Cleveland with a talented and committed team (10 staff). They will also develop and manage the new programme in Middlesbrough, currently in Discovery phase, and recruit a staff team of 8- 10 people, with support from the charity’s central team. Once set up, the Director will lead the following across both areas:

Leading the team to support delivery of the charity's local early years strategy in the areas

About the role:
Working collaboratively with our fantastic team, board, key stakeholders and LEVEL Centre’s vibrant community, you will provide confident and inspiring leadership to develop and oversee a programme that reflects our vision, mission and values. We’re partnering with XLP to recruit a strategic and proactive Director of Fundraising to shape and lead the charity’s income generation and communications. You will bring direction, structure and momentum to a newly forming team, strengthening individual giving and philanthropy, growing corporate partnerships, and overseeing trusts, events and digital campaigns. The Director of Development will be responsible for developing and achieving the organisation's income strategy, with particular focus on developing, prospecting, and building relationships with high value donors, corporates, financial advisors, and wealth management. As part of the Senior Leadership Team, this role will be a strategic Director, whilst also leading on key donor facing relationships. This role will be critical to leading and executing successful engagement strategies for both internal and external stakeholders, with the support of a small team of two.
The successful candidate will be able to evidence setting strategy and delivering successful high value income generation growth. This person will be able to demonstrate identifying and securing gifts of a six-figure plus level. They will have a proven track record of developing and maintaining strategic senior networks. This person will have managed other team members before and be a strong communicator with other senior internal stakeholders and external donors.
