Job Purpose
The Group Head of Marketing and Communications is a strategic leadership role responsible for shaping and delivering an excellent quality, high impact approach to integrated marketing, brand and communications across the TLC Group.
The postholder will primarily set direction and enable the team to deliver their work, with some direct input into campaigns, messaging and other outputs.
This role is directly accountable for:
- Growth in key audiences
- Smooth running of the marketing provision of TLC Group including website, social, internal and external comms, press, PR and brands.
- Delivery of high-quality campaigns, on time and to budget, which deliver agreed outcomes.
The role will share responsibility with others for:
- Growth in fundraised income
- Performance of commercial subsidiaries
Wider Support
The postholder will be supported by the Director of Development as their line manager, and beyond that the Development sub-committee of our TLC Group Board alongside the wider Board itself.
There will be scope to shape and grow the internal team if / when the TLC Group continues to expand. Beyond the direct team, TLC Group uses a network of freelancers and agencies and there is potentially scope to draw in their expertise, budget permitting.
Key responsibilities
Strategic leadership
- Provide outstanding leadership and direction for the TLC Group Marketing and Communications team, bringing energy and drive to our ambition.
- Develop and lead the implementation of a TLC Group-wide Marketing and Communications strategy aligned with organisational goals.
- Lead on positioning the organisation as a sector leader, enhancing visibility, influence and impact.
- Advise the Executive Leadership Team on marketing, communications and reputational risk. Plan and mitigate against brand and organisational reputational risk and manage crisis communications effectively.
Brand and Communications
- Lead the development and ongoing delivery of brand marketing strategies for each of our differentiated brands, supporting the transition to an audience led approach.
- Lead the implementation and embedding of our new brand portfolio across our organisation including successful application of brand identities, values, key messages and tone of voice.
- Identify opportunities to increase brand awareness and lead the delivery of these across a national footprint.
- Set the strategic direction for all internal and external communications, including our Press and PR work.
- Ensure our messaging reflects organisational values, mission and impact.
Income Generation and Commercial Integration
- Support the growth of our Charity by providing Marketing expertise and developing marketing plans which facilitate our partnerships and charitable income generation work (fundraising, philanthropy and grants). Work closely with our Development and Partnerships teams to deliver this.
- Support the Group's commercial subsidiaries by providing Marketing expertise and developing marketing plans which assist the subsidiaries to meet their revenue targets. Work closely with our Group Commercial Director to deliver this.
Influencing
- Support our Policy team (part of our Development team) developing TLC's government relations work through influencing campaigns, parliamentary events and policy responses.
Digital and Innovation
- Drive digital changes and innovative solutions to improve customer journeys, supporter retention and AI integrations/automations, helping to futureproof our growing organisation.
Leadership and Management
- Lead the team to deliver across brands, through effective project management and prioritisation as well as ensuring alignment of stakeholder expectations against agreed objectives.
- Develop our high-performing marketing and communications team and build connections which embed marketing and communications across the entire Group.
- Establish a network of strategic relationships with key stakeholders across team and subsidiaries to support a one team approach, integrated planning and effective delivery.
- Set the Departmental budget with a focus on value for money.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build strong relationships with key stakeholders, partners, media and influencers.
- Represent the organisation externally at events and in the media.
Organisational
- Support the designated safeguarding lead to ensure all staff, volunteers, trustees and students at TLC Group understand that safeguarding is everyone's responsibility. Ensure adherence to policies, mandatory training, reporting concerns, and compliance to protect children and adults at risk.

- Developing and implementing marketing and communications strategies that employ a mixture of marketing channels.
- Producing comprehensive campaigns that increase income and engagement.
- Building high trust, collaborative relationships and managing stakeholders at every level.
- Understanding and working with diverse audiences.

What success looks like
In the first six months, we would expect this role to build a strong understanding of the Group structure and priorities, while starting to bring greater clarity and alignment across the brand portfolio and marketing approach. There is a real opportunity here to shape direction early, deliver some quick wins, and build momentum across the organisation.
By twelve to eighteen months, the expectation would be to see clear, measurable impact in areas such as audience growth, income generation and brand visibility, alongside a more defined and embedded marketing function that is set up to support both the charity and commercial aims of the Group.
This role offers a high degree of ownership, and will suit someone who enjoys building, prioritising and making progress across multiple areas, while helping the organisation focus its efforts over time.

The Role
You’ll lead the Association’s work in East of England, focusing on what matters most to stroke survivors and ensuring this work has real, measurable impact. In this influential role, you’ll build strong relationships across health and social care, Local Government, and the wider stroke community. Influencing local policy and practice, and overseeing the effective delivery of high-quality stroke support.
Key responsibilities will include:

About You
You’ll have:
- Senior-level experience in advocacy/influencing; service delivery or community engagement and development.
- Senior level experience influencing policy change, ideally in health and social care, at a regional or national level.
- Substantial experience of holding senior-level relationships with partner organisations, ideally in health and social care / the NHS using strong negotiation skills and political judgement.
- Proven experience of leading high performing teams and large geographically distributed teams of paid staff and volunteers, with a strong track record of growing and developing staff and teams.

SUMMARY

Young people are often the catalysts for major social change, from the Student Nonviolent Coordinating Committee at the heart of the Civil Rights Movement, to the Soweto Uprising mobilising young people to resist the apartheid regime's education policies, to the Sunrise Movement redrawing the electoral map across America, and more recently protests across the world protesting the genocide in Palestine. How successfully they achieve real and lasting change depends on whether they are organised and whether they have the right strategy and tactics to be effective.

ABOUT THE ROLE
In a context of the rise of the far right, increasing inequality, and climate disaster, The Advocacy Academy is growing to meet this moment.
As part of this, we are expanding our Organising and Campaigns Team, looking to recruit two senior and experienced organisers and campaigners who are able to build the leadership of young people to enable them to turn the resources they have into the power they need to make the change they want. We have raised the funds needed to resource this growth and know what needs to be done. There are three key areas of responsibility:
- Oversee and deliver TAA’s member-led organising campaigns
- Play a lead role in delivering our Coalition Campaigns
- Oversee our HOST programme, our in-house campaign accelerator and fiscal hosting programme
But there are several ways we could divide up the work into people’s roles. So, instead of splitting this up in advance ofapplications, we are asking candidates to apply first, and then dividing up the responsibilities into two coherent roles based on the best candidates that apply.
AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
The following responsibility areas will be divided between the two roles based on candidates’ strengths.
1. Oversee and deliver TAA’s member-led organising campaigns
- Support members to develop and select key campaigns to prioritise on the basis of:
- People: What our young people want and need to learn to support their growth as organisers and leaders in their own right.
- Power: How we want and need to build power together
- Change: Where there is an opportunity to win material change on the important issues of the day that directly affect our young people and others.
- Once campaigns are selected, you will support members to design clear-sighted campaign strategies to achieve objectives under the three categories above.
- You will then support members to deliver on these strategies, with the necessary campaign infrastructure to ensure it succeeds, including meetings, briefings, comms outputs, creative public action, aligning with allies, and negotiating with key targets.
2. Play a lead role in delivering our Coalition Campaigns, including but not limited to our Climate Coalition (Roots to Rise) and Gender Coalition (name tbc):
- Work closely with the Programme’s Team to develop and deliver organising and campaign training for key partner organisations, helping them to embed organising practices into their work, and support their young people to be organisers in their own right.
- Support the Programme’s Team and partners to develop and select key campaigns to prioritise on the basis of:
- People: What our young people want and need to learn to support their growth as organisers and leaders in their own right.
- Power: How we want and need to build power together
- Change: Where there is an opportunity to win material change on the important issues of the day that directly affect our young people and others.
- Once campaigns are selected, you will support partners and members to design clear-sighted campaign strategies to achieve objectives under the three categories above.
- You will then support members to deliver on these strategies, with the necessary campaign infrastructure to ensure it succeeds, including meetings, briefings, comms outputs, creative public action, aligning with allies, and negotiating with key targets.
3. Oversee our HOST programme, including but not limited:
- Work with the Director of Oraginising and Campaigns to set the strategic direction and priorities for the HOST Programme.
- Proactively build relationships with our HOSTed groups and coach them to develop their leadership. This involved holding regular 1:1s and relational meetings that strengthen our connection and help them to identifyand act on their developing political interests and to plug them into relevant opportunities for growth at TAA and our wider networks.
- Identify opportunities to improve our offer to HOSTed groups and support them to tackle challenges they face. This includes developing a clear understanding of their aims and needs, and how their and our resources can be used creatively to help deliver these effectively.
- Oversee the Lead Campaign Organiser’s efforts to ensure our HOST Programme runs like a well-oiled machine by pulling in the right people at the right time to ensure key milestones are met.
- Oversee the budget for the HOST Programme, ensuring that all activities are run within financial targets, working with the Programmes leadership team to identify efficiencies and savings, checking in regularly with the Head of Organising and Campaigns and relevant senior colleagues to escalate any risks or opportunities that might arise.
4. Be a key member of the Organising and Campaigns Team, including but not limited to:
- Support efforts to set the strategic direction and priorities for the Organising and Campaigns Team each financial year.
- Proactively develop an interest in the impact of political, socio-economic and sector specific changes that could impact the HOST Programme, department and TAA in general.
- Support the Director of Organising and Campaigns and Head of Organising and Campaigns with the management and mitigation of organisational risks presented by the Programme by escalating issues within a timely manner and supporting them with problem solving.
- Support colleagues in the Organising and Campaigns team to run events, training programmes and other key activities to deliver on departmental aims.
5. Support our members to learn and grow as organisers in their own right, including but not limited to:
- Proactively build relationships with our members and grow our membership, through holding regular 1:1s and relational meetings that strengthen campaigns but more importantly help them to identify and act on their developing political interests and to plug them into relevant opportunities for growth at TAA and our wider networks.
- Hold a list of members that you are the relationship lead for, developing and delivering a live learning plan with many of them, supporting them to become powerful organisers.
- Work closely with the Programmes and Community teams to set trajectories and expectations for a young person’s campaigning and organising journey, their starting point coming into TAA, and the training and support they need.
- Facilitate workshops and meetings, holding space effectively and designing and delivering creative learning journeys for young people.

About the role

Key Tasks and Responsibilities
Leadership, Membership and Regional Engagement
- Develop and deliver a cohesive programme and membership strategy aligned with IIC’s Strategy 2030, purpose and strategic objectives
- Contribute to organisational leadership, planning, and decision-making as part of the senior management team
- Deputise for the Executive Director when required, representing the organisation internally and externally
- Act as the primary point of contact for IIC’s Regional Groups and network of Affiliated Professional Associations, fostering strong, collaborative relationships
- Support and connect Regional Groups / Affiliated Professional Associations to IIC’s central programmes and strategic priorities
- Encourage knowledge exchange and shared learning across regions, and nurture strategic relationships with cultural institutions, academic bodies, and sector organisations globally
- Contribute to sustainable income generation and identify opportunities for growth, including grants, innovation, and partnerships across programmes and membership.
Programmes
- Lead the development and delivery of IIC Learning, an integrated digital learning and events space with inter alia, online symposia, webinars, courses, workshops and hybrid bi-annual conferences.
- Oversee programme planning cycles linked to IIC’s special interest themes and communities ensuring high-quality, relevant, and accessible content.
- Build and maintain relationships with experts, speakers, partners, and contributors across the global conservation community.
- Ensure programmes support knowledge exchange, professional development, and sector leadership.
- Monitor and evaluate programme impact and performance, using insights to inform future activities.
Communications
- Work closely with the IIC team and communications colleagues to promote programmes and membership globally
- Help strengthen IIC’s profile as a leading international voice in conservation
- Ensure consistent and compelling messaging across all programme and membership activity

You will lead the development of an ambitious organisation-wide learning and organisational development strategy, ensuring our 23,000 volunteers and 300 staff members, have the skills, confidence and support needed to deliver safe, effective and compassionate services.
About the role
Reporting to the Executive Director of People & Culture, you will lead a talented team responsible for organisational development, leadership capability, learning and development, delivery of training through our training school and external learning provision through STEP, our commercial training offer.

- Lead the development and delivery of innovative, inclusive and high-quality learning solutions
- Shape and embed leadership capability frameworks that support a positive, accountable and compassionate culture
- Support organisational transformation and change through strong organisational development expertise
- Drive strategic approaches to learning, talent and succession planning
- Partner with leaders to build a high-performing and psychologically safe learning culture
- Ensure our learning approaches reflect best practice, accessibility and equity, diversity and inclusion principles
- Support the development of our geographically dispersed volunteer and staff teams
- Bring external insight, thought leadership and innovation into the organisation
You will also play an active role as part of our Senior Leadership Group and People and Culture Senior Leadership Team, contributing beyond your specialist area to help deliver our wider organisational strategy and mission.
About you
You are an experienced organisational development, learning or people capability leader with a strong track record of delivering strategic cultural and organisational change.
Importantly, you are someone who leads with empathy, curiosity and integrity. You understand that high performance and compassion go hand in hand, and you are passionate about creating environments where people feel supported, empowered and able to grow.
You will bring:
- Significant experience leading organisational development and learning strategy at a senior level
- Expertise in leadership development, capability building and organisational change
- Experience of identifying future capability needs through workforce planning’
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, including experience working with senior leadership teams
- Experience developing inclusive learning cultures and blended learning solutions
- Knowledge of talent and succession planning approaches
- The ability to inspire and lead geographically dispersed teams, including volunteers
- A collaborative and values-driven leadership style

Our UK office is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Senior Data & Insights Officer to lead on the day-to-day maintenance and utilisation of our data management platform, Microsoft Dynamics 365, with a particular focus on the Customer Relationship Management (CRM) module. This role is pivotal to supporting a culture of data-driven decision-making across Amref UK, ensuring the integrity and strategic use of our data to enable strategic growth in supporter engagement, retention and income generation.
The Senior Data & Insights Officer will be a key point of contact for colleagues across the organisation, playing an instrumental role in supporting how we gather, manage and utilise data at Amref UK. They will be critical in providing expertise and establishing new ways of working across key Amref UK teams, including Supporter Engagement, Programmes & Strategic Partnerships, Finance, Operations and Senior Management. The postholder will be the organisational expert in Microsoft Dynamics working with senior leaders, Amref HQ ICT, Amref’s global Fundraising Development team (F&D) and third-party vendors to develop, implement and integrate processes and reporting tools that aid analysis and insight. They will work with HQ ICT to deliver improved functionality and system upgrades while maintaining data integrity and compliance requirements. Experience in relational database design and familiarity with marketing tools such as Google Analytics would also be an advantage.
To be successful in this role, the post holder will need to be a team player who brings a combination of technical expertise, communication skills and business change experience.

Overall job purpose
To lead and develop the Finance team and provide financial management and business support. To lead CCT’s audit process, month-end process and the Trust’s investments and banking services. To support the Director of Finance and Commercial on projects as required.
The Head of Finance will have responsibility for managing the Trust’s accounting system. The postholder will also lead the annual audit, month end reporting and investment and banking services. Working closely with the Director of Finance and Commercial and Finance Analyst, they will provide internal and external stakeholders with the necessary financial reports to manage Trust business.
This role is also responsible for deputising for the Director of Finance & Commercial in their absence.
