This is a new role for the Circuit, replacing a volunteer. In designing the position, the Circuit has aimed for maximum flexibility to secure the best candidate for the role. Initially, the person will need physically to attend some meetings to familiarise themselves with the Circuit's operations and ensure a smooth hand-over. For the right person, though, there will be considerable flexibility about how the duties are fulfilled in the longer-term. It is specifically expected that the role will allow for flexible scheduling to accommodate other responsibilities, including caring.
The Richmond & Hounslow Circuit comprises seven churches in southwest London. As with all Methodist circuits, these churches function autonomously yet collaborate closely in their ministry and mission efforts. The Circuit oversees joint resources, including staff and property. Presently, it employs four full-time ordained ministers, one full-time lay pastor, and a part-time administrator. As a part of the Methodist Church, its mission is “to respond to the gospel of God’s love in Christ and to live out its discipleship in worship and mission”. To fulfil this mission, the Circuit fosters a broad spectrum of ministry within its congregations, focusing on worship but also engaging in outreach to the homeless, asylum seekers, new parents, and various other groups. Purpose of the Operations Manager role:
As Operations Manager, the successful candidate will play an integral role in the effective day to day management of key business support services including operations, IT data and premises. Operations:

About the role
As an Engagement and Assessment Worker, you will be the first point of contact for someone who comes to Crisis for help to prevent or end their homelessness. You will:
- welcome them to the service on site and at partner agencies,
- listen carefully and non-judgementally to their story,
- complete sensitively thorough Crisis and Mainstay assessments,
- Agree realistic options and the support needed to assist them to prevent their homelessness or a pathway out of homelessness
- Help them formulate a holistic plan and help them take the initial steps, where necessary.
- Hold a caseload of members who require short term intervention to end their homelessness.
About you
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Experience of working successfully with disadvantaged/or socially excluded groups and individuals, utilising a psychologically informed approach.
- Ability to deliver excellent customer service, ensuring accessible, welcoming and safe ‘front of house’ environment in a busy service.
- Experience of assessing presenting needs, and an understanding of strengths-based assessments. Empathy and understanding of the barriers to accessing services.

The Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (Rape Crisis South London) is looking for a committed, professional and skilled Helpline Support worker to provide high quality emotional support, information and signposting in our Support Line team.
The 24/7 Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Line is a partnership between Rape Crisis England and Wales, the Rape and Sexual Abuse support Centre (RASASC - Rape Crisis South London) and two other Rape Crisis Centres (ARCH Teesside and Lincolnshire Rape Crisis). The post-holder for this role is employed by RASASC (Rape Crisis South London).
The post-holder will provide emotional support, information and signposting to survivors of any form of sexual violence, of any gender, aged 16 and upwards, and their supporters via phone calls and chats. Helpline Support Workers also provide support to colleagues and volunteers as part of their daily duties. Helpline Support workers have experience of either providing emotional support on a telephone helpline or experience providing support to survivors of sexual violence. We’re Causeway, the UK-wide charity who believes in the power of lasting change. We take people from existing to living, and empower our service users, including survivors of modern slavery and exploitation, to find their voice and place in society. In 2018, we collaborated with South Yorkshire Police in an initiative called Plan B. This helped to launch the LifeNavigate department. We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Male ReFocus Advocate within our LifeNavigate Team based in Merseyside. The aim of this project is to support and signpost individuals who meet relevant criteria and show a motivation to change after being identified as being at potential risk of committing low level Domestic Abuse. A key element of this project is that it is survivor focused and looks to address abusive behaviours at their source, at an early intervention phase, via support and education. This means working with both those who have carried out such acts and those who have been made subject to them. The successful candidate is expected to support a caseload of individuals in order to jointly assess and manage any initial risk and to ensure all safeguarding protocols have been followed. The role is not that of and IDSVA, although some of the skills will overlap, the is to provide on-going support to individuals in areas
of need in which they feel disempowered and hence build confidence and skills. This process will happen in partnership with the organisation DMAT who will run ‘See the signs’ course which will look to educate and equip individuals to feel safe and empowered in this area. You will be working in an agile and responsive team environment and be part of the team providing support and pathways to those who have experienced domestic abuse. When capacity dictates, there will also be a requirement to work with people displaying potentially abusive or coercive behaviours (perpetrators), offering education and support to promote long term change. Due to the nature of working with victims of gender based abuse it’s important we have the flexibility to offer victims the opportunity to be supported by someone of the same gender, because of this we are currently recruiting for a male applicant.
Responsibilities:
• Providing support for individuals who are subject to low level Domestic Abuse (primarily male victims).
• The full time Advocate will oversee up to 16-20 clients of varying levels of support need at any one time.
• To work effectively as a team, including giving responsive feedback and handover information to Line Manager, and colleagues where there is a shared caseload, especially in regard to partnership with DMAT.
• To independently meet deadlines, including accurately recording and logging details of support, documenting relevant service user information and completing other administrative paperwork in adherence to the terms of the contract.
• To risk assess using the DASH model and take appropriate steps to safeguard service users.
• To create and follow individual support plans and ensuring all service users safety and well-being is paramount at all times.
• To arrange appointments for individual service users, and liaise with organisations and individuals regarding service users in a professional manner.
• Signpost service users to appropriate support.
• Supporting service users face to face (where suitable) in an appropriate environment, including using remote sessions where needed.
• To facilitate engagement of service users on the ‘See the Signs’ course, including journey planning and move on strategies, within the required time frame.
• To regularly attend supervision meetings with Line Manager. Adhering to all internal procedures regarding Causeway and any relevant legislation especially with regard to the Domestic Abuse Act (2021).
• When required, to work with perpetrators of low level domestic abuse, facilitating their engagement with the ‘See the Signs’ course, ongoing risk assessment, and provision of holistic support to promote lasting change.

Who we are looking for?
This is an exciting opportunity for an individual who has experience of working in the social housing sector and would like a new challenge. You should have Knowledge of Housing Law in relation to housing management and understand Welfare Benefits, especially Housing Benefit and the current climate of how supported housing is funded via Housing Benefit and the scrutiny around evidence of the support offer.
You will be the main lead for housing management in your patch. Experience of managing income recovery, neighbour nuisance/conflict and estate management is essential, ideally this has been within a supported housing context.
Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Income Recovery
- Monitoring of all Nacro rent accounts both current and former arrears and credit accounts in patch.
- Taking direct action where arrears are accruing in line with Nacro’s Income Collection and Debt Management Policy and liaising with Support or Housing Management Worker when their support is needed.
- Engaging with HB to ensure correct levels of HB are in payment for the right dates and at the correct level, liaising with Nacro Welfare Benefit Advisor for any complex cases.
Legal Duties
- Preparing documentation, including notices, witness statements and court documents for any enforcement or to end a tenancy.
- Representing Nacro at court.
Income recovery you will be responsible for recovery of accommodation charges from beginning to the end of the process.
Tenancy Support
- You will ensure the Association’s conditions of tenancy and licences are enforced.
- You will provide training and induction support to new starters, so they understand their role around housing management and tenancy creation including dual visits to provide additional training where issues are highlighted, or new staff need it.
- Supporting and advising on less complex anti-social behaviour to promote prevention and early intervention, and the correct recording and monitoring of cases.
Estate Management/Property Standards
- Though the Occupancy Sustainment Programme (or similar) deliver training to local teams’ duties on property standards including documentation and recording in systems, to include reporting a repair, completing monthly fire and health and safety checks and support they need to provide around gas compliance.
Support the team through training to help workers know how to access our policies and procedures around property standards including knowing how to report and escalate issues.

This is an incredibly exciting time to join Claire House as we deliver an ambitious five-year strategy to reach more children and develop our second site in Liverpool. We need an experienced internal communications officer who can take complex ideas and make them sound simple and engaging.
This role will provide expert internal communications advice and support across the organisation, helping to communicate progress on key projects and improving employee engagement and organisational culture. You will also work with external stakeholders including families and healthcare professionals. The job will include drafting messaging, copy writing, developing engaging content and marketing materials and implementing communications project plans.
Previous experience in a similar organisation is desirable, but internal communications expertise, lots of energy and an ability to build relationships are essential. In return, this role will offer an opportunity to help the hospice transform the way it works, massively increase its impact and the vital support it offers to seriously and terminally ill babies, children, young adults and their families.
This role is full time 37.5 hours per week.

Overall Duties of the role will include:
- Being an accessible point of contact for the children living with our carers and to our young people, keeping them up to date with the facilities and opportunities available with TACT
- Providing support to children with emotional welfare and mental health needs
- Supporting interventions and activities to ensure stable placement arrangements
- Being able to transport children and young people to events, appointments and meetings (mileage reimbursed)
- Organising and participating in virtual and face-to-face events and occasional residential meet-ups
- Managing all paperwork associated with events and activities
- Willingness to work flexibly, according to deadlines and needs of our families which may include some after-school, evening and weekend work
- Undertaking trauma-informed direct work with children and young people
The successful candidate must also be willing and able to travel to the Yorkshire area quarterly for face-to-face team meetings, training, and wellbeing events with the potential for occasional travel to other areas around the UK to facilitate children's residential stays.
