Akshaya Patra is one of the world’s largest school meals charities – nourishing 2.35 million children in India every day and now expanding our impact across the UK.

Our UK after-school programme, Empower Hour, provides hot, nutritious meals and targeted tuition to children growing up in poverty – extending the school day by 60 minutes to give them the fuel, support and enrichment they need to thrive.

What began in one school in 2024 is already serving ten, and – alongside driving continued expansion in India – we are now ready to scale our delivery to reach thousands more children across the UK’s most disadvantaged communities.

To help lead this exciting phase of growth, we are seeking a Director of Finance and Operations – a senior leader who combines strong financial stewardship with operational leadership and is motivated by purpose as much as performance.

You will sit on the Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO, and oversee two core portfolios:

• Programmes – overseeing Watford kitchen operations, Empower Hour delivery and holiday hunger initiatives.
• Finance and Resources – leading financial planning and reporting, systems, compliance, HR development and organisational infrastructure.

You will be taking up a permanent role as Centre Leader at one of our IntoUniversity centres in Nottingham. We are looking for a Senior Research and Development Officer who is passionate about evidence-informed practice to join our adult's team. The role demands a strong understanding of research and policy, and the ability to translate complex evidence into accessible learning materials. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential as is the ability to build collaborative relationships across and within organisations. Experience in co-production, research mobilisation, or working within academic or policy environments is valued.

The Senior Research and Development Officer leads a small team of committed Research and Development Officers developing and delivering high-quality learning resources in various formats. The post holder is responsible for scoping, commissioning, writing, editing, and quality assurance, and plays a key role in income generation through tenders and bids.

The role requires strong facilitation and delivery skills and experience designing and delivering workshops, webinars, and events for a range of audiences, including senior leaders. The successful candidate will be confident presenting, chairing, and leading sector-wide discussions.

The Donor Relations Officer will be responsible for crafting compelling, donor-centred communications that strengthen long-term relationships with partners and supporters, deepen engagement and inspire giving. One of the main areas of responsibility will be to produce proposals and reports for stakeholders, especially strategic partners and donors. Qualifications

Required:

You will play a key role in ensuring that Camden Learning captures and uses data to drive service development and operate more efficiently. You will support teams and wider stakeholders to get access to the data they need by running reports, undertaking basic data analysis and presenting data in an easy to understand way. CRM

• Working alongside our development partner, support the successful implementation of a new CRM system
• Ensure the CRM system continues to meet the organisation’s needs, including setting up and owning the process by which colleagues request changes and new features
• Support colleagues to use the system effectively
• Make changes to the system if required and set up reports requested by colleagues. Liaise with development partner if larger changes or new development is required

Other systems and platforms

• Identify, set up and configure other systems and platforms to meet the organisation’s needs. This will include our training booking platform and HR platform.

Order processes

• Set up and own the processes by which schools place orders for services
• Respond to queries from schools related to subscriptions, orders and pricing
• Work with the Finance Officer to ensure customers are accurately invoiced for services used.

Data reporting, analysis and presentation

• Set up and run regular reports of key information to stakeholders, to include:
  • Camden Learning’s leadership team and board of directors
  • Local authority commissioners
  • Schools
• Undertake regular and adhoc data analysis of data held within our systems, for example training feedback and staff survey
• Present this information in a format suitable for its intended audience

The Women’s Budget Group (WBG) is the UK’s leading feminist economics think tank, providing evidence on women’s economic position and proposing policy alternatives for a gender-equal economy.

You will produce research analysis on women's economic circumstances, helping us to translate complex ideas into policy recommendations for a more gender-equal economy.

About the role

We’re searching for a Regular Giving and Legacy Giving Manager to oversee a sector-leading, multi-channel appeal programme to increase numbers of gifts and donors to the University. Following the launch of Imperial’s bold and ambitious strategy we are preparing to launch a comprehensive fundraising campaign. The Regular Giving and Legacy Giving team will play a pivotal role in bringing about a step-change in regular, mid-value and legacy donations to the University.

The postholder will oversee and implement the overall strategy and supporter journey for alumni and donors primarily through direct mail, telephone, email and social media.

This is an exciting role with opportunities for the postholder to oversee an award-winning acquisition campaign, a brand new mid-value programme and a successful legacy marketing programme. The post holder will be instrumental in building collaboration with the Alumni Engagement team to promote philanthropy and take alumni on a journey to their first gift.

What you would be doing

Working across the Regular Giving & Legacy Giving team, you will oversee supporter journeys for donors, working on cases for support, appeal development and data segmentation. You will have the opportunity to pilot new ideas as well as delivering a mature and sector-leading programme. Working across Advancement, you will build relationships with key internal stakeholders especially the Alumni Engagement team, Major Gift, and Event teams to capitalise on opportunities to embed regular giving and legacy messaging in all University activities.

What we are looking for

• Successful track record, in direct-marketing fundraising in Higher Education or the charity sector
• Proven track record of line management and professionally developing members of staff
• Ability to build strong relationships and collaboration among key stakeholders and teams
• Significant and demonstrable experience of managing and organising projects to agreed budgets, targets and timescales
• Significant and demonstrable experience of developing and evaluating compelling and response driven copy and creative
• Significant and demonstrable experience of interrogating, analysing, manipulating and interpreting large, complex data sets for targeting and segmentation purposes
• Experience of liaising with and managing a variety of internal and external stakeholders and obtaining buy in and support for projects
• Experience of working with external agencies (creative agencies, fundraising consultants, copywriters, mailing houses and printers)

Job Purpose

The purpose of the IT Manager role is to lead CR’s internal IT operations and infrastructure. Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, the IT Manager will be responsible for the effective and efficient management of our IT systems, ensuring their reliability, security, and alignment with the company's strategic goals.

While the role is based in London, it needs to provide oversight to the global IT systems of the organisation, ensuring systems will function effectively in all operating contexts, taking into account issues such as internet bandwidth and electricity reliability.

The role is supported by an IT Officer who handles the majority of user-facing support issues, and can draw on a long-term part-time IT consultant who has a deep knowledge of the organisation’s IT systems and infrastructure. This allows the IT Manager to focus more on strategic planning information and infrastructure management, and IT project delivery.

The successful candidate will provide a balance of strategic and operational skills. While they will be able to draw on the IT Officer and Consultant for much hands-on work, they will, at times, need to take on more of the operational tasks. Person Specification

Knowledge

• Strong understanding of current IT operating environment, including hardware and software, and upcoming innovations and challenges.

Experience

The main purpose of the post holder is to develop the capacity of new and existing Refugee and Migrant Community Organisations (RMCOs) in Islington and surrounding boroughs by providing high quality information, capacity building training and developmental support.  The post holder is expected to udnerstand the values and challenges of the voluntary sector.

The capacity building project has been running for 18 months, and will continue for another 18 months until 30 June 2027 where funding will end. Renewal of this employment contract beyond of this period is subject continuation of funding
