The Opportunity

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Programme Delivery and Support Coordinator to deliver our Propel programme across Scotland, building partnerships and championing neuroinclusion.

As the Training and Support Worker, you'll engage with schools, colleges, community settings and employers, delivering training, supporting implementation, and empowering neurodivergent young people into sustainable employment. You'll play a key role in developing the programme through partner insight and keeping up with best practice in workplace neuroinclusion.

You will be required to travel regularly to deliver face-to-face training within schools, colleges, community settings and workplaces across Scotland, particularly Edinburgh and Glasgow.

UK SMART Recovery is seeking a highly motivated Community Coordinator to join our small, passionate team. In this role, you will:

• Onboard, support and mentor our amazing SMART Recovery facilitators across The Midlands and London.

• Work closely with our highly valued partner organisations running SMART meetings within their services.

• Deliver training, guidance, and workshops for our peer and partner facilitators.

• Contribute to projects and service development to help grow UK SMART Recovery even further.

• Help ensure SMART meetings are high-quality, accessible, and safe for participants.

About You

To succeed as a Community Coordinator, you will have:

• Experience facilitating groups or meetings, ideally in recovery, peer-support, mental health, or behaviour-change settings.

• Ability to support, mentor, and develop volunteer facilitators.

• Strong presentation and communication skills, online and in-person.

• Self-motivation, organisation, and ability to manage workload and regional travel independently.

• Emotional intelligence and groundedness, with experience supporting people who have faced adversity.

• A valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.

Desirable:

• Qualified SMART Recovery facilitator or previous participant.

• Lived experience of recovery (personal or close to someone else).

• Experience in peer mentoring, volunteer support, or community development.

We are recruiting a Drugs Education Coordinator (Scotland) to join our team. This role will involve the coordination of DSMF drug education in Scotland, based in the Grampian region, working with the senior leadership team to develop provision regionally and more widely.

Suitable candidates will:

• be passionate about supporting young people to make safer choices about drugs and alcohol, with a good understanding of substance use and particularly its physiological, psychological and social impact
• have experience of project coordination, with excellent organisation skills

The Role

As our Events and Community Coordinator, you will deliver a high-quality events programme while building strong, lasting relationships across a network of 400+ Fellows. You will play a central role in shaping how our community connects, contributes, and grows.

The Opportunity:   

The Aspiring Professionals Programme Coordinator (APPC) postholder is responsible for supporting the delivery and development of the Social Mobility Foundation’s programme of activities for young people through their S5-6/sixth form and university years.   
The SMF offers in-person and online support and opportunities, so this role will involve providing virtual and in-person support to students and working with employers across the UK.

Key Responsibility Areas:
1. Project Delivery 

• Deliver key projects including recruiting and onboarding students, creating digital resources and student events  
• Support with programme pilots, scoping (and delivering on) new activity   
• Collaborate and build relationships with our employer partners, schools, and universities to support our young people in their applications for university, internships and graduate roles  
• Deliver on allocated events relating to our programme model (university applications, skill development, work experience and mentoring), presenting content to a high standard and in line with the Social Mobility Foundation messaging

 2. Monitoring and Evaluation  

• Follow established procedures to monitor the progress of your work area, using accurate data to inform decisions
• Maintain accurate records across relevant databases, updating data accurately and in a timely manner  
• Contribute to evaluation for key work areas (residentials, events, internships etc), produce high quality evaluation reports where required.

3. Stakeholder Management

• Communicate to internal and external stakeholders in a timely and professional manner
• Proactively update external partners (i.e. employers) on your work areas, flagging risks in a timely manner with relationship managers
• Manage internal student queries and maintain consistent stakeholder (e.g. students) processes through regular communication

4. Activity Delivery  

• Coordinate planning and delivery of skills sessions, partner events, university visits, and other activities, both virtually and in person across the Social Mobility Foundation’s target cities across the UK
• Coordinate logistics of sixth form and S5/S6 and undergraduate internships, including but not limited to, student selection, liaising with students and employers throughout internship delivery 
• Coordinate and support with the organisation, logistics and delivery of in-person residential programmes for students, including staying on site for day and overnight visits when needed
• Coordinate student services including personal statement checking service and recruitment success service 
• Create digital resources to support all provisions

Ways of working:

• Most of our work is office based, but you will spend a lot of time collaborating with other teams and clients via email, telephone and other communications channels such as Teams or Zoom.  
• This role requires you to attend staff residentials for students on our Programme. This means that during the summer period (Jul – Aug) you will be expected to stay overnight on-site (in the UK - exact location to be confirmed closer to the time) for a period of up to two-weeks, help run the residential and be responsible for the welfare of the young people involved.

Travel:

• Some travel, to other offices and other locations, will occasionally be expected. 
• Please note this role may require some travel during our peak delivery period (February-May) which could be up to 4 times per month.
• Travel and accommodation if required will be covered by the SMF.

As the Impact and Fundraising Manager, you will work hands on with our delivery team to design data collection systems that feel manageable and purposeful, not burdensome. You understand that different people think, process, and work in different ways, so you will create multiple methods for collecting the same data to suit different styles.

You take a methodical approach to understanding what data we need to showcase impact, then build the frameworks and provide the practical support to make collection happen across multiple methods. You empower the team to grow their confidence in impact measurement through training, clear guidance, and being there alongside them.

You will translate the data we collect into compelling, heartfelt stories that position The Mason Foundation as best practice. You will engage with traditional media and sector publications to showcase our work and support the COO with fundraising by providing the impact evidence that inspires funders and commissioners to collaborate with us.

What We're Looking For

• Methodical approach to collecting data across multiple different methods, understanding what needs to be collected to showcase impact without being burdensome

• Hands on experience supporting frontline teams with data and impact collection, building their confidence and skills

• Ability to design multiple ways of collecting a uniform dataset, recognizing different thinking, processing, and working styles

• Strong storyteller who can make data heartfelt and human whilst maintaining evidence-based rigour

• Experience with traditional media engagement (press releases, media relations) and writing for sector publications

• Understanding of neuroinclusion, community development, or social impact landscapes

• Experience working with CRM systems and ability to lead exploration of accessible data tools

• Empathetic, supportive, highly organised, and self-motivated with ability to work part time hours efficiently in a remote environment
