You will be responsible for overseeing the efficient and effective running of our three respite homes providing our wrap-round services:
- Stress busting Residential Respite Breaks, giving young carers the opportunity to make happy memories.
- Three- week SEAL education booster program including a four-day residential stay at Honeypot, to help young carers who struggle to progress in school due to poor confidence and self- belief that they can learn, to find the confidence that they can succeed in education.
- Wellbeing grants, for essential items no child should lack, such as a clean bed, or new school clothes.
- Face to face outreach including memory making days out at the beach, countryside, or fun park for young carers who never get this experience.
- Pastoral Care promoting the welfare of children and ensuring their needs are being met.
- Healthy Eating and Nutrition, for children who receive free school meals during term time but resort to sugary drinks and snacks during school holidays. Honeypot helps children to perfect a healthy signature dish and provides funds for the ingredients.
- Urgent Pastoral Care, for young carers and their families, who are struggling to cope.
As Operations Director you will be an integral part of the Senior Leadership Team with the responsibility of developing and embedding the new 3-year plan and the Charity’s values, ensuring service delivery supports the overall business strategy and plans of Honeypot, whilst meeting budget guidelines.

About the PKD Charity
Founded in 2000, we’re the first and only UK charity solely dedicated to improving the lives of an estimated 70,000 individuals and their families affected by polycystic kidney disease (PKD) in the UK.
PKD is a range of life-threatening inherited conditions that can cause kidney failure and affect other organs in the body such as the liver, brain, heart and bowels. Most people with PKD live with an uncertain prognosis, intermittent pain and infections, and then have to undergo life-saving dialysis or transplant in their 50s. A few babies have a rare form of PKD which results in death during pregnancy or shortly after birth; the surviving children often have to have either a kidney or liver transplant before the age of 10.
We provide reliable, accredited information, advice and personalised support. We raise awareness of the burden of PKD, both clinical and psychosocial. We fund research aimed at understanding more about PKD and the discovery of therapies that will improve quality and longevity of life.

About the role
The role will be joining the small, committed team at the PKD Charity and presents an exciting opportunity for someone to play a key role in helping make a significant difference to people affected by polycystic kidney disease.
You will be responsible for developing and delivery the fundraising strategy and meeting income targets across various income streams including Community and Events, Corporate, Individual Giving, Legacies and Major Donor fundraising.
We are looking for a committed, highly motivated and creative fundraiser who is confident and excited about working across all areas of fundraising and generating income for a small national charity. As the sole fundraiser at the charity, you will be comfortable working independently.
Responsibilities
Fundraising Strategy
- Lead on the development and implementation of our fundraising strategy which will maximise income generation from a range of sources including Community and Events, Individual Giving, Legacies, Commemorative Giving, Corporate and Major Donor Fundraising.
- Monitor and evaluate the success of all communications and fundraising activity and to use this learning to inform and shape the future of our activity in this area throughout the organisation.
Community and Events Fundraising
- Market and recruit for a programme of national sports and challenge events including the London Marathon and Great North Run. Supporting our participants to achieve their fundraising targets
- Develop and deliver new and existing fundraising events and activities that will engage with the PKD Charity community.
- Secure new income from community audiences through referrals and introductions from existing supporters and sourcing of new funders within the community, including businesses, social groups, clubs and societies, religious groups and schools.
- Recruit, manage, and develop a network of volunteers to support fundraising activities in communities around the UK and help raise awareness of polycystic kidney disease and the charity.
Individual Giving
- Manage the ongoing development and implementation of a regular giving strategy, to maximise unrestricted income, recruit new regular givers and reduce attrition rates.
- Work with the team to support the recently launched legacy fundraising and commemorative giving strategy, to maximise income.
Corporate and Major Donor
- Lead on the cultivation and stewardship of supporters, including the account management of partnerships with businesses.
- Work closely with the Chief Executive to develop relationships with major donors and support the development of a major donor programme.
- Ensure that the organisational CRM database usage is optimised to facilitate major donor fundraising.
- Work with other organisations to maximise joint fundraising opportunities.
General Responsibilities
- Develop and manage the fundraising budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources
- Create and maintain income pipelines aligned to income targets, prepare reports and contribute to monthly management information.
- Oversee the development and maintenance of the organisation’s supporter CRM database, ensuring efficient and appropriate data capture and data analysis for the purposes of effective stewardship, fundraising and communications

About the role
This is a new role within the Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships team responsible for developing and leading our major donor programme. Myeloma UK is embarking on an ambitious five-year income generation strategy, which aims to increase income from £5m to £10m by 2028. This position will play a critical role, working alongside the Head of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships to double the income we raise from major donors and family trusts by securing 5-6 figure grants for a range of innovative and life changing programmes – including patient and family support, research and advocacy. The Philanthropy Manager is also responsible for managing and supporting the Philanthropy Officer in securing mid to high level donations from individuals.
The major donor programme at Myeloma UK is established - we have a strong community of existing high-level supporters and have identified significant potential donors within our community - but these opportunities have not been fully leveraged in the past. Building on this foundation, and a major fundraising Gala planned for Spring 2024, there is a significant opportunity to transform this area of fundraising and this role will be instrumental in delivering a step change in our approach. The role requires outstanding relationship building skills, and the ability to work with high-net-worth individuals, to build credibility and trust and inspire them to support Myeloma UK.
About you
You will be an experienced major donor fundraiser with the ability to secure 5-6 figure gifts and lead others to do the same. You will be a strategic thinker, who is ready to lead and implement our major donor strategy alongside the Head of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships.
We need someone with exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to nurture high value relationships and also work closely with senior colleagues, Trustees and other volunteers to build deep and long-lasting donor relationships. It will be crucial to work closely with colleagues across the charity to identify fundraising priorities, develop fundraising propositions and involve them in the cultivation and stewardship of key relationships.
You will be a skilled communicator and negotiator with the ability to communicate complex scientific information in an engaging way. We need someone who can build relationships from scratch, uncover donor motivations and convey the importance of Myeloma UK’s work to inspire support.

To provide high level, quality administrative support to The Harmony Project Schools Team to ensure the smooth delivery of the second field trial in support of the idea of a Nature Premium, funded by the Aurora Trust.
Key Tasks:
Project Set Up
- To coordinate applications and recruitment of schools to the field trial, maintaining the SharePoint and Daylite systems.
- To coordinate agreements and grant distribution to successful schools using DocuSign software.
- To work with Schools & Curriculum Resources Coordinator to ensure that the proposed projects incorporate progression towards integration of a Harmony approach to the curriculum
- To support all schools in accessing the initial training films on the Harmony approach and principles
- To coordinate introductory live webinar for all schools
Monitoring and Evaluation
- To monitor the weekly evaluation reports, and ensure schools complete them
- To gather data from participating schools i.e. numbers and demongraphics
- To analyse evaluation data into raw findings to feed into the project evaluation report
- To support the writing of the project evaluation report
- To coordinate team members’ zoom meetings with and visits to participating schools
- To arrange photography, permissions and indexing of photos gathered during the projects
- To assist the schools team administration by managing and maintaining project-related paper and electronic filing system incl. Daylite.
- To assist the schools team in the preparation of reports to The Harmony Project Board and associated organisations.
Communications and Social Media
- To liaise closely with all other staff members and maintain good communication.

- To liaise with Marketing lead to promote the work on our social media platforms

- To run a weekly, internal project management meeting, and where appropriate issue agendas, minutes, actions and zoom link creation

Successful candidates who do not already possess the post graduate certificate in supervision will be supported in undertaking a year in part-time study.
The MHST are early intervention mental health and emotional wellbeing services. The service delivers evidenced based interventions for children and young people with mild to moderate mental health needs.
About You
You will need to demonstrate in your application that you have the ability to study at degree level and have a core professional qualification relevant to mental health, for example mental health nursing, cognitive behavioural therapy, EMHP or equivalent. You should also have post graduate experience working with children and young people and an understanding of the principles and practice of CBT and clinical supervision.
Candidates will either have a Post Graduate Certificate in Supervision or ability and willingness to attain PG Cert. within the first year of employment.
You will be knowledgeable and experienced in working with CYP with mental health needs; completing mental health assessments, providing practice supervision and support as well as providing specialist care directly to children and young people and families.
Applicants must have excellent communication skills and be able to network with other agencies as central to the role.
You must possess a full driving licence and have access to a vehicle. An enhanced level DBS check is required for this role.

The Opportunity
We work with both schools and education organisations such as charities, universities and education technology companies (our ‘impact partners’). Our work with impact partners focuses on helping these organisations to develop their impact evaluation methods and deliver evaluations. We divide this work into four different strands: evaluation design, capacity building workshops, use of our School Impact Platform and external evaluations. This role revolves around the implementation of the School Impact Platform in particular and focuses on some large-scale projects commencing shortly.
We are looking for a candidate who can lead on school onboarding and engagement. This means they have to have knowledge of the school context and how schools work internally as well as be comfortable communicating with different stakeholders in schools. In particular, you would be supporting schools as they are being onboarded onto the platform (meaning setting up their accounts and data collection tools) and follow up with them regularly to ensure good quality data collection is happening. You would work closely with our Impact Partnerships Officer, who will lead on the project, and our platform lead, who will provide support from a technical and product development side. You would need to be strong in written communication and enjoy engaging with schools and answering their queries.

Purpose of the role
To lead on Shine’s exciting and innovative Education Project supporting our young members to have the best opportunity to achieve their potential within education. Whilst raising also awareness within schools and education settings of Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus
Shine delivers support, information and advice to individuals and families whose lives have been affected by Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus, or associated conditions, across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Shine’s Corporate Plan (2022 to 2027) sets out seven ambitious strategic goals. This role will focus primarily on supporting the delivery of:
Goal 1: Enabling babies and children with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus to achieve their potential
Goal 2: Empowering young people with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus through knowledge, confidence and skills to manage their conditions and thrive

Project Delivery
Shine has a clear vision for the Education Project and a framework in place to take the project to the next phase.
We are looking for an exceptional team member who will be able to continue with the progress we have made over the last year and ensure delivery of Shine’s education project: supporting children and young people aged 2 to 25 years.
The project activities will include:
● Lead on the development and delivery of Shine’s education service for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus.
● Provide condition-specific information and advice relating to education to our members, parents and support groups
● Be the ‘knowledge expert’ for Shine staff for complex education referrals
● Maintain knowledge of changes in education legislation in England, Wales and Northern Ireland and how these relate to children/young people with Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus
● Organise and facilitate Shine education-related member events (online and face to face)
● Develop and deliver presentations and training, raising greater awareness of Shine and Spina bifida/Hydrocephalus across the education sector
● Provide training to Shine’s Services and Health teams to upskill them around issues affecting our members in educational settings i.e. access to EHCPs, managing personal care in school, school transport etc
● Review existing and develop new education resources for Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus in partnership with others where appropriate
● Working with other national charities, expand Shine’s educational offer to include co-morbidities affecting our members such as epilepsy, ASD and ADHD, learning disability etc, and how these conditions may impact on hydrocephalus and learning
● Actively promote Shine membership to prospective new members, parents, education professionals and education settings, whilst developing a clear understanding of parents’ increasing expectations of their child’s education, addressing learning, equal access, rights and inequality issues
● Review and further develop the recording of education information, statistics and records on Shine’s membership database
● Develop and maintain an education service evaluation process that captures the positive impact that Shine’s interventions have
● To support any funding application highlight case studies, maintain data and record monitoring and evaluation as required
● Identify fundraising opportunities for Shine across education settings and liaise with appropriate Shine Fundraising team members
● To ensure that Shine’s safeguarding policies and processes are followed and
staff are aware that it’s ‘everyone’s responsibility’

Person Specification
Experience – essential
● Qualification in relevant discipline - teaching, psychology, special educational needs
● At least 3 years’ experience of working in an education/learning setting
● A clear understanding of current education legislation in England, and awareness of key differences in Wales & Northern Ireland
● Experience of working with neurodiverse children/young people and how living with Spina Bifida and/or Hydrocephalus might affect learning and behaviour

This is a key role with the Social Research Association (SRA), a friendly educational charity and membership body. Who we are
The Social Research Association (SRA) promotes excellence in social research. It was founded in 1978 and has been a registered educational charity since 2008.
We are a growing organisation, small but ambitious, with a staff team of six providing membership and training (our two main income-generating services) to the UK social research community. Events, publications and guidance are devised by volunteer groups and staff, and a board of trustees ensures governance and oversight. There are currently over 1500 individual SRA members from across the profession, in government, universities, research agencies, charities, and consultancies.
Our ambitions are to support the sector to deliver the best research possible by sharing practical expertise, experience, resources and a community in which members of the social research sector can engage with one another. As a driving force in the social research sector, we want to create positive impact however we can. Summary:
Training Coordinator - permanent contract
Hours: full-time, 37 hours per week

Role duties:
Organise training activities
· Plan the future requirement for each course on a rolling basis
· Assess the demand for each course and seek to match availability to this
· Work with our freelance trainers and partners to arrange dates for their courses

Are you our new Funded Programmes Consultant?
UWC International is seeking a Funded Programmes Consultant to lead the implementation of important scholarship programmes focused on post-conflict reconciliation, refugees and aspiring young students from disadvantaged communities selected to attend a UWC school. The Funded Programmes Consultant will work with the Philanthropy team, a team of seven people raising funds for and managing funded scholarship programmes.
The Funded Programmes Consultant will be responsible for a wide range of activities, including collaborating with colleagues in project countries, outreach to young people eligible for the scholarships we offer, and coordinating their selection and support once they join UWC. The position is a donor-funded assignment for a fixed term of two years. The work location can be anywhere in the world, with most of the team working in the European time zone.
Scope of Work
Funded Programmes Implementation
- Manage the implementation of important scholarship programmes, including the scholarship programme with RISE, an initiative of Schmidt Futures and the Rhodes Trust
- Build and manage processes to ensure effective delivery and initiate improvements
- Support and coordinate promotion and outreach as well as student selection in project countries remotely
- Coordinate various teams’ contributions to the donors' funded scholarship programmes
- Ensure regular effective communication with external and internal stakeholders
- Ensure timely operational and financial reporting to the donors

The Opportunity
Understanding which interventions and programmes are likely to make the biggest difference to the life chances of young people is more important than ever. As School Partnerships Officer, you will work to ensure that our school and multi-academy trust partners are empowered to effectively monitor and evaluate their work to make a bigger impact.
You will be the first point of contact for a portfolio of partners who you will work with to deliver our programme of support, track their engagement on the School Impact Platform, and ensure retention and long-term partnerships. Day to day, that could mean helping a school to get set up on the platform, supporting a school to understand whether their new tutoring intervention is having the desired impact on disadvantaged students, or working with a Multi-Academy Trust to monitor pupil wellbeing and meta-cognition across their schools.
As a varied role in a growing social enterprise, the opportunity has a mix of partnership and account management responsibilities combined with support for school-based research. You will help manage our renewals cycle, ensure our schools get the most out of working with us, and identify opportunities for partnership growth and engagement.

JOB SUMMARY
This post offers an exceptional opportunity to develop, manage and lead Lightyear Foundation at an exciting time in our journey. Our new CEO, in conjunction with the Board of Trustees, will implement the strategic and operational direction of the charity. Key activities will include: providing leadership; managing all aspects of our programmes, staff, volunteers and fundraising; and being an effective advocate for the charity and its beneficiaries. You will manage a new core team of three (Outreach Programme Manager, Partnerships Programme Manager and Community Manager), and will be responsible for ensuring financial control and leading on good governance across all aspects of the charity.
About Lightyear Foundation
Lightyear Foundation is a small but mighty national charity committed to breaking barriers to disabled children participating in STEM (science, technology, engineering and maths). Disabled children face multiple disadvantages in education, careers and life skills and are all too often excluded from STEM. We exist to ensure that no disabled child is denied the opportunity to love and learn from these subjects or to go on to contribute to society in these fields.
We work directly with disabled children in special schools, inclusion pods and community groups, designing and delivering immersive sensory science experiences, deep learning labs and work inspiration visits to exciting STEM venues. We also work directly with STEM organisations through our SEN in STEM Network, a unique national network bringing the sector together to break down barriers to inclusion by sharing best practice and practical solutions, and through training and special projects which help STEM organisations improve access to their materials, venues, processes and activities for disabled children.
MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Lightyear Foundation is a small but fast-growing charity. We are now at a pivotal point in our growth and have ambitions to increase our reach and to diversify our income, enabling us to play an even more significant role in dismantling barriers to inclusion. We have been awarded a grant to secure our core team roles for three years, which has enabled us to sustainably appoint a small team for the first time. We are looking for an experienced small charity CEO to lead this new freelance team, building on the excellent work of their predecessor and the many exciting opportunities ahead of us.
Leadership
- Be the face and voice of the charity – our principal ambassador.
- Lead, support, engage and motivate all staff: we are a small team of part-time freelancers across the new core team and the wider specialist delivery team, so creating a sense of community and collaboration is fundamental to our success.

Governance and Compliance

We are seeking to appoint an organised and reliable individual as part of a funded programme for schools. This is a great opportunity to be part of a rapidly evolving children’s charity.

Position: Programme Coordinator
Location: Remote/flexible
Salary: £23,000
Hours: Full-time, 37.5 hours per week (flexible)
Duration: Contract, Fixed term 2 year with possible extension

About the Role
The main job role is to provide administrative support to the Programme Manager to ensure the smooth running of one or more educational programmes.

As Programme Coordinator, you will be passionate about access to education for all and committed to providing a high-quality service to the educators looking to improve the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people.
You will have experience and/or knowledge of all or most of the following:
- Providing administrative support
- Good customer service skills, ability to respond professionally and clearly to queries
- Excellent organisation and collaboration skills
- Good written and verbal communication skills
- Experience of using IT packages such as CRM’S, Microsoft office and customer service platforms such as Zendesk.
Where an individual lacks specific experience of working in a particular area, they will be expected to demonstrate their potential to learn and their understanding of the skills needed to be successful.
Ideally you will also have an appreciation and understanding of the impact of social, emotional, mental health and wellbeing upon children and young people.
