We are excited to be recruiting into our Wellbeing Coaches team for a young person’s Mental Health Coach. Our Mental Health coaches work 1:1 with young people to build resilience and develop coping strategies for improving mental health and wellbeing, offering a trauma-informed combination of practical and emotional support.

We believe each young person is unique, and benefits from a tailored approach to support - so you might spend a session exploring emotion language with one young person and then accompany another one to a GP appointment. You’ll also have opportunities to share your expertise with our colleagues by delivering training and coaching sessions for those working in our housing and support services. 

This is a permanent role. We are seeking either qualified* mental health workers and/or applicants with significant and relevant experience of supporting people with mental health needs. *Relevant qualification in mental health at level 5 or above, alongside significant and relevant post qualification training and experience. E.g. You don’t need prior experience in PIE or TIP to apply - we’ll support you to learn and develop these approaches in the role. 
What you will be doing:

• Co-creating tailored 1:1 support for a caseload of young people experiencing mental health challenges.
• Upskilling colleagues to respond effectively to young people’s mental health needs.
• Collecting data on needs, to inform service design and future funding opportunities.
• Designing group and drop-in sessions for our high support accommodation services to raise awareness of positive mental health.

You will be in the Transitions & Resilience Team, and your line manager will be our Transitions & Resilience Service Manager.

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Social Prescriber to join our team in Merton.

The Merton Social Prescribing service is one of the most established and mature services in the UK and is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year.We are seeking an individual to join our successful service in Southwest London. This role will help to strengthen the links between Primary Care, voluntary and public services to improve patients’ health and wellbeing. 

You will provide a person centred service to patients within Primary Care GP practices in Merton, and you will also support each patient to access appropriate services provided by voluntary and community organisations and other agencies.

Social prescribing expands the options available in Primary Care by creating a ‘managed’ way for referrals of patients with social, emotional and/or practical needs. Patients ca n be linked to a variety of local non-clinical services in the community. These include leisure, social activities, education, welfare, housing and employment advice and support.

Reducing the Risk is an Oxfordshire-based charity with a growing regional and national reputation for delivering high-quality, victim-centred domestic abuse services. Established in 2007, we empower communities, train multi-agency professionals, and provide critical Independent Domestic Violence Advisor (IDVA) services to ensure the safety and wellbeing of adults and children at risk.

The Role

As our next Chief Executive Officer, you will work closely with an ambitious Board of Trustees to shape and deliver the charity’s strategic plan. Inheriting a highly skilled, dedicated team of practitioners and a network of over 1,800 Domestic Abuse Champions, you will balance compassionate strategic vision with sound operational and financial leadership.

What you’ll do

As Programme Director, you will lead the delivery and continued development of the Child Wellbeing Practitioner programme, ensuring it provides an inclusive, high-quality student experience and meets UCL, BPS and national curriculum standards

• Lead, review and develop the programme curriculum, teaching and learning content
• Manage and support the programme team to ensure the course is delivered smoothly and effectively
• Oversee assessment, marking, quality assurance and compliance with UCL and BPS requirements
• Monitor trainee progress and experience, ensuring students receive appropriate academic and pastoral support
• Manage key programme operations, including stakeholder relationships, student recruitment, staffing and the programme budget

What you’ll bring

The ideal candidate will be an experienced child mental health and higher education professional with the leadership skills to manage an accredited postgraduate programme, support a multidisciplinary team and deliver an inclusive, high-quality learning experience

• A PhD or professional doctorate in clinical psychology or child mental health, alongside a relevant professional qualification or substantial experience in children’s mental health
• Experience of curriculum design, teaching, assessment and programme management within a higher education setting
• Strong knowledge of children and young people’s psychological training programmes, CBT interventions and mental health practice in CAMHS or educational settings
• Proven experience of leading, managing and supporting staff while balancing competing priorities and programme demands
• Excellent communication, collaboration and organisational skills, including the ability to manage budgets and maintain the programme’s quality and financial viability

Key details

Hours: Part-time: 14 hours over 2 days - the postholder will need to work on Fridays and either Tuesday or Thursday.  Fridays are in person at Anna Freud, London, during termtime.  Usual working hours are Monday to Friday, 09:00-17:00. Flexible working is possible.

Salary: £64,100 FTE per annum, plus 6% contributory pension scheme

Location: Hybrid (a mixture of home/onsite working): staff are working onsite for at least 20% of their working hours at Anna Freud, 4-8 Rodney Street, London N1 9JH.  The postholder will also need to attend in person for any in-person teaching, team meetings as necessary.

We are looking for a compassionate and proactive Assertive Outreach Worker to support people experiencing multiple disadvantage, including mental health needs, substance use, homelessness, social isolation, or other complex challenges. This role will involve building trusting relationships with people who may find it difficult to engage with services, providing practical and emotional support, and working closely with partner agencies to help individuals access the right support at the right time.

The role focuses on building trust with individuals who may be reluctant to engage with traditional services, helping to reduce health inequalities, improve wellbeing, strengthen safety, build confidence and support sustainable recovery and independence.

The post holder will deliver community-based outreach, complete needs and risk assessments, co-produce support and safety plans, maintain accurate case records and work closely with partner agencies including housing, health, social care, domestic abuse services, drug and alcohol services and criminal justice partners.

Key responsibilities:

Outreach & Engagement

• Deliver assertive outreach across Surrey providing a person centred and trauma informed approach to clients referred into the project.
• To work with clients in the community using a safe, risk assessed approach. Working collaboratively with other practitioners to best support the needs of the client.

Multi-Agency Working

• Attend multi-agency meetings (e.g., MARAC, safeguarding meetings, case conferences).
• To facilitate joint working with other support services to tackle any barriers, including Housing; Health; Social care; Domestic abuse; Drug and Alcohol and Criminal Justice.
• Advocate on behalf of clients to access services, housing, and support.
