The role
We require a proactive and detail-oriented coordinator to join our team. In this key role, you will be responsible for coordinating our corporate volunteering program, provide support to the wider volunteering & Employability team, and ensuring the smooth running of various initiatives. You will be the first point of contact for volunteer inquiries and will deliver outstanding customer service, ensuring that both individual and group volunteers are engaged and supported effectively.
This role requires impeccable organisational skills, strong attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and strong prioritisation and time management.
Main area of responsibility
Partner Volunteering Programme Coordination:
- Oversee the day-to-day operations of the corporate volunteering program, ensuring effective scheduling, attendance, communication, and follow-up.
- Work closely with corporate partners and delivery partners to organise volunteer events and initiatives.
- Support the development of new volunteering partnerships and opportunities.
- Actively seek opportunities to improve volunteer experience and program efficiency.
Communication
- Facilitate clear communication with volunteers, partners and the wider team to ensure clear expectations.
- Provide ongoing support to volunteers, ensuring they have the necessary information to feel informed, valued and engaged.
First Point of Contact
- Be the primary point of contact for individual and group volunteer inquiries, providing timely, accurate and helpful responses.
- Deliver exceptional customer service by addressing all concerns to ensure a positive experience for all participants.
Record Keeping & Administrative support
- Tracking and documenting volunteer activities including scheduling and feedback, to ensure all volunteer contributions are accurately logged, up-to-date and accessible.
- Implement and improve systems to enhance processes and reporting.
- Provide administrative support to the wider volunteering team, including planning events, scheduling meetings, managing and updating documentation.

Are you passionate about volunteering and its ability to transform lives and build fairer, healthier communities? Volunteer Centre Tower Hamlets (VCTH) is looking for an outstanding Volunteering Advisor to join our supportive, impactful team.
You will work across two programmes, both of which support Tower Hamlets residents from Global Majority communities into volunteering. Co-delivering our Improving Employability Through Volunteering progamme, you will help unemployed people to secure volunteering placements where they will gain skills, experience and confidence to enhance their job prospects. Leading on our new Health & Wellbeing Champions project, you will work closely with our partner, LBTH Public Health, to recruit and induct local volunteers who will help improve health outcomes in communities experiencing deprivation and health inequalities.
Key responsibilities of the role include:
· promoting volunteering widely; conducting community outreach, running stalls at events, giving targeted presentations online and in person, organising borough-wide Volunteer Fairs, and working with referral agencies
· enrolling volunteers, motivating them to overcome barriers, helping them to secure suitable volunteering placements, and tracking their progress
· working with local Volunteer Involving Organisations to develop and advertise inspiring volunteer roles that meet a wide range of needs, abilities and interests
· booking training venues and refreshments, monitoring training participation, and processing volunteer expenses
· using your analytical and digital skills to monitor progress against agreed targets, evaluate impact, and produce statistics/reports for funders.
This hybrid role is mainly home-based, but with a requirement to undertake regular work at community venues around Tower Hamlets. We are open to discussing how the 4.5 days are worked during office hours.
The ability to speak Bengali/Sylheti would be highly beneficial, as you will be working closely with the Bangladeshi community. Local knowledge of Tower Hamlets and its communities would be an asset, but is not essential. We are very keen to hear from candidates with lived experience relevant to this role, from experienced Volunteer Managers, and from people who are passionate about improving health and employment outcomes for marginalised communities.
Candidates must have the right to work in the UK for 31.5 hours per week until at least 30 November 2027. We regret that we are unable to provide sponsorship.

FareShare Midlands is the region’s largest food redistribution charity. We take good-to-eat surplus food from the food industry and get it to our Members - frontline charities and community groups all over the Midlands. We turn an environmental problem into a social solution.
Last year we redistributed almost 5,794 tonnes of food from our warehouses in Birmingham, Leicester and Nottingham. It is sorted and stored by our dedicated teams of staff and volunteers, and then redistributed to around 800 Members including food pantries and cafes, homeless shelters and drop-in centers. These local organisations turn the food into food parcels, affordable shopping and delicious meals for people of all ages. As well as food, our Members provide vital support to families and the elderly, many of whom are facing challenging circumstances and living in poverty.
Last year our food reached more than 83,000 vulnerable people every week, providing 13 million meals. At the same time, we are growing our Employability Programmes to help people gain work experience, skills and jobs.
Hunger is a growing issue in the UK and while there is surplus food that is otherwise going to waste, we believe that this food should be used to feed people first.
The Role
FareShare Midlands is thrilled to partner with FareShare UK and PepsiCo to deliver community workshops and employability support across Leicestershire. These workshops will focus on physical and mental wellbeing, financial resilience, tackling digital exclusion, and employability. Additionally, they will offer tailored one-to-one support to help clients progress toward employment, education, or training opportunities. This role will work closely with the Employability Coach to coordinate and administrate the daily running of the programme.

Responsible for a group of young people, for one-on-one support and guidance or just gently pointing them in the right direction. You’ll also be the guiding light for our delivery partners and service providers as we want them to deliver the best experience and outcomes for our young people. High-fives all around! Roll up your sleeves and deliver employability sessions directly to our incredible young people. You'll also help our Delivery Partners and volunteers do the same, both in person and virtually through our trusty MS Teams. When we're doing things face-to-face, you’ll need to hit the road and be there in person to help with programme delivery or programme visits to make sure all is running as smoothly as possible.
And if that’s not enough to keep you busy, you’ll also be keeping meticulous records of information and data on our young people, volunteers, and partners. It's all about making sure every step of their journey is accurately reflected in our systems so that it complies with our funding contracts.

We are looking for someone who has:
- Sales, new business and/or experience of managing multiple client relationships.
- A demonstrable track record of working successfully with businesses in a development capacity to acquire and maximise relationships.
- Good knowledge of the commercial sector and employability/training services.
- Excellent presentation skills to engage a range of internal/external stakeholders.

We are looking for a competent employability coach to support women who have experienced domestic abuse and are at risk of offending to gain employment skills and work experience. You will work with clients who want guidance for career development and need assistance in functioning in a workplace.
The clients will be young women offenders affected by domestic abuse and your role is to offer sustainable employability pathways that supports access to employment and training opportunities, creating positive distractions to reduce risks of re-offending or re-entering harmful relationships in the future.
A job coach must be a mentor, eager to support their clients You must be able to discover people’s strengths and weaknesses and tell them what works best for them. Having communication skills partnered with critical thinking are requisites for this job.
Coach responsibilities include:
· To assist clients to discover and overcome their personal barriers and set goals.
· To assess the strengths of individuals and teach them to use them effectively.
· To develop effective job coaching and employability support plans with clients.
· To deliver 10-week rolling programmes of employability workshops to develop skills including confidence and motivation, CV writing, interview techniques, skill checks, digital skills and job search.
· To provide mentoring and coaching in effective job search techniques.
· To have a creative approach to engaging with participants.
· To be responsible for a caseload of participants, providing signposting and advocacy, addressing their needs and barriers to employment.
· To work with participants on a one to one or group basis as appropriate.
· To interview participants to gain information and ascertain their requirements.
· To motivate, encourage and support participants to move towards employments and tailor a package of support to meet their individual needs.
· To assist participants to plan and progress, in line with their action plans, towards improving their life and employment chances.
· To be responsible for ensuring all Key Performance Indicators are consistently achieved.
· To meet deadlines and targets as required by the needs of the programme.
· To organise work placement experience – by matching the skills of women with business, charities, other agencies.
