The Supporter Operations team at Alzheimer’s Research UK is a key point of contact in the charity for supporters and members of the public and ensures the highest standards in operational processes and compliance, to ensure a first-class supporter experience.
The Supporter Relations Officer is responsible for delivering essential supporter engagement activities, ensuring delivery of an excellent experience for every contact, recognise opportunities to increase supporter loyalty, and generate the maximum amount of income for dementia research. The post holder is the first escalation point for the Executives when dealing with more complex enquiries, using the experience to support on the job training at delivering an excellent supporter experience.
Key Responsibilities:
Supporter Enquiry Management
· Act as the first escalation point for Executives with complex enquiries, helping to troubleshoot the enquiry in a suitable timely manner and ensuring the delivery of a warm and positive response for the supporter.
· Support the team Executives with inbound enquiries by telephone, email, post and social media, ensuring the highest standard of responses and covering absences on occasion.
· Promote fundraising, engagement and retention opportunities when talking to supporters using a range of initiatives to explain how their donations positively contribute towards the cause.
· Ensure all campaign briefings are delivered to the team to equip them for enquiry handling.
· Delivery of the promotion of and supporting supporters in the best practice in ‘in aid of’ fundraising policies.
Supporter Stewardship
· Delivery of outbound thanking and stewardship programmes.
· Assist the Senior Officer in ensuring effective management regions at specified levels, to ensure appropriate stewardship.
· Working alongside the Executives on the delivery of the Tiering and Triage system and supporting the Senior Officer in making decisions on supporters requiring manual intervention to tier. And input into reviews of the tiering system to ensure it is fit for purpose and is offering the supporter the best stewardship journey.
· Support the Senior Officer in managing the supporter follow‑up process to ensure funds are received promptly and accurately.
· Responsible for ensuring the quality of our Thanking processes and content are to the highest standards.
· Collaborate with key stakeholders and teams – Relationship Fundraising, Mass Participation and Sporting Events, In Memory and Individual Giving, ensuring that supporters are given the best level of stewardship.
Knowledge, skills and experience needed:
· Experience of working in a customer facing role within an office environment.
· Experience of handling complaints and queries.
· Enthusiasm for building excellent supporter relationships and ensuring supporters feel valued and thanked appropriately.
· Confidence working with computers – good knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and CRM databases.
· Excellent written and spoken communication skills.
· Excellent CRM/database management skills.
· Ability to work with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
· Good organisational skills and the ability to prioritise workload.
· A professional and hard-working team player with a positive and collaborative work ethic.

As part of our Agile ways of working, you will be required to work approximately 2 days a week from the office, which is subject to the requirements of the role and the business needs. Flexibility on where you work can be split between working from home and our office.

Job Details
As a support worker you enable people with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and dignified lives in supported accommodation or their own home. We have positions available across a variety of services in Westminster, Kensington & Chelsea, Camden, Islington, Southwark and Hammersmith & Fulham.
In each of our services we support approximately 5-10 people. We support people with a range of support needs from low to high; with old age/ dementia, profound and multiple learning disabilities (PMLD), autism/mental health. We also operate outreach services for people who live more independently. We work on a rota which includes working some weekends, early and late shifts. If you prefer to work nights, we also have some services with waking night shifts.
We currently only have vacancies in services where manual handling is an intrinsic and regular part of the job.

About the Role
Make a real impact in the lives of young people at risk of homelessness as a Young People Support Worker. You’ll deliver strengths‑based, psychologically informed support that builds confidence and independence, creating safe and empowering spaces where young people can thrive. From shaping personalised plans to running meaningful activities, your work will help each person move closer to a stable, positive future.
Working a rotating shift pattern, you’ll build trusted relationships, champion safeguarding and collaborate with local partners to ensure every young person receives consistent, high‑quality support. Your creativity, communication skills and professional integrity will help clients engage in education, training, employment or volunteering opportunities—supporting them to take the next step towards independence.
Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a full-time (37.5 hours a week), permanent role.
In this role, you will:
• Provide strengths‑based, trauma‑informed support to young people at risk of homelessness
• Complete high‑quality risk assessments, SMART support plans and accurate case records
• Deliver one‑to‑one sessions and group activities that build resilience and independence
• Support young people to access education, training, employment and volunteering
• Maintain a safe, welcoming accommodation environment with regular health and safety checks
• Work collaboratively with partners and follow safeguarding procedures across a rotating shift pattern

• Experience of working with young people or those who have experienced homelessness
• An understanding of the needs of people who have experienced homelessness, poor mental health, substance misuse or the care system
• A knowledge and understanding of Risk Assessments and Support Planning

About the Role
You’ll play a vital part in delivering our mission: tackling homelessness, widening opportunity and championing fairness. Whatever your specialism, you’ll help create a safe, inclusive and empowering environment where people can thrive and move forward with confidence.
As a Young People Support Worker (Whitley Bay), you will provide practical, emotional, and goal-focused support to young people, helping them develop the skills, confidence, and resilience needed to move towards independent living.
You will manage a caseload of young people with a range of support needs, building trusted relationships and delivering structured, person-centred support plans. The role involves supporting young people through key transitions, including leaving care, sustaining accommodation, and accessing education, training, or employment.
Your work will be underpinned by the Depaul Endeavour Model, an assets-based and psychologically informed approach, ensuring young people are supported to build on their strengths and achieve positive outcomes.
Please note that this job opportunity is offered as a part-time (28 hours a week), permanent role.
Shift Pattern: Saturday & Sunday - 08:00 to 22:00

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to work with staff and volunteers at our established Christian recovery charity in Berkshire. You will provide direction, support and oversight on all aspects of HR management, including: recruitment; staff supervisions and appraisals; compliance with employment regulations; training; performance and talent management; grievance, disciplinary, and capability procedures; salary structure and employee benefits; and organisational personnel planning.
We do not currently have HR software, so reviewing our requirements in this area would be one of your responsibilities.
As a small charity (c. 43 salaried staff and casual workers, plus volunteers), the role will require balancing practical tasks with management responsibilities. For the majority of the working week, you'll be based in the office (a lovely rural setting near Twyford, Reading) and, being situated within the rehabilitation centre, you will have daily contact with those men whom you are helping. They inspire and motivate us just as much as we seek to encourage and support them. (Some remote working might also be possible.)

The Architectural Support Officer plays a central role in this work. You will support the day-to-day operation of the Trust’s consent process, helping applicants and their advisers with applications, maintaining accurate records, and ensuring decisions are communicated clearly, professionally and with authority.
This is a varied role combining administration, public-facing work and exposure to architecture and conservation. It would suit someone with an interest in the built environment and heritage who enjoys detailed work and engaging with the public.
