What you’ll be doing

You’ll play a central role in a busy, high-impact service:

· Deliver high-quality 1:1 coaching and Information, Advice and Guidance (IAG), with a clear focus on outcomes

· Support clients to create strong CVs, complete applications and prepare for interviews

· Actively move clients into training, work experience and employment opportunities

· Deliver structured group sessions (employability, digital and life skills)

· Build and maintain effective relationships with employers, training providers and partners

· Manage a varied caseload, balancing engagement with progression and outcomes

· Maintain accurate records and demonstrate impact through clear, consistent data

This role requires pace, judgement and consistency. You’ll need to balance support with accountability and ensure that every interaction contributes to forward movement.

The Barnsley Street Project is a pilot service funded by NHS money following a bid by East London NHS Foundation Trust (ELFT). The service comprises of Look Ahead staff, ELFT staff, and Tower Hamlets Mental Health VCSE Alliance, formed of 17 local VCSE organisations. The Barnsley Street Project operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week to provide support for people in the catchment area of one primary care network in Bethnal Green, Tower Hamlets. It provides a variety of psychosocial and clinical interventions, including the provision of 6 Hospitality Beds for short term support and intervention.

Support Workers within the Barnsley Street Project will be expected to support individuals requiring support from the local community that walk in to the service and those staying in our hospitality beds. This support may include providing tailored and co-produced practical, emotional, trauma-informed support to individuals with a variety of challenges relating to their mental health. This may include the management of symptoms, social support, navigating benefits and welfare systems, practical skills and signposting to specialist services in the local authority for intensive or specific support as required.

What you'll do:

• Building supportive, trusting relationships with customers and creating a positive atmosphere
• Working proactively with other members of the team to handle the service caseload and administrative responsibilities
• Conducting key work sessions as required, that are innovative and engaging in order to achieve individual goals
• Ensuring ongoing assessment and management of risks associated with customers within an attitude of 'positive risk taking'
• Providing support with daily living activities, including practical assistance to support customers to independent living e.g. budgeting, cooking, establishing a night time routine
• Supporting customers to maintain a healthy environment and where appropriate assisting them to clean their accommodation and maintain good personal hygiene
• Assisting in the recording and reporting of customer incidents
• Managing customer referrals, completing assessments and obtaining and maintaining all relevant paperwork
• Developing productive relationships with partner organisations to improve service outcomes
• Adhering to lone working protocols and maintaining high levels of awareness in relation to the health and safety of yourself and colleagues
• Involving customers in the design, development and delivery of the service
• Ensuring Look Ahead Health and Safety policies and local protocols are adhered to at all times e.g. fire risk assessments, fire alarm checks etc
• Taking on shift leading responsibilities by coordinating and leading shifts in the absence of a manager
• Being responsible for the handover of key information between shifts
• Adhering to all other Look Ahead's policies and procedures
• Engaging in learning and development activity to increase knowledge and skills

The role requires accurate record-keeping, maintaining clear communication with your team, and following safeguarding, health and safety, and medication policies at all times. You will be expected to respond calmly and appropriately to challenging situations, using positive behaviour support approaches where required.

This is a community-based role, so flexibility is essential. You may be required to work earlies, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays on a rota basis to meet the needs of the people we support.  You will work in partnership with families, carers, social workers, healthcare professionals, and other agencies to ensure a coordinated and consistent approach to support.

What does Support Work involve?

As a support worker you will help people with learning disabilities to live safe, fulfilling, and dignified lives in supported accommodation or their own home.  We work on a rota which includes working some weekends, early and late shifts. If you prefer to work nights, we also have some vacancies for waking nights. 

LDN London is currently looking to recruit several Support Workers in the Hammersmith & Fulham area.  The nearest tube station will be Acton Central station.  We need team members that can work flexibly because there will be a need to support people with learning disabilities through the day and night.

You need to be digitally confident in use of Apps and other systems which help people be more independent and tracking progress.

You will be working with people who need assistance with every aspect of daily living, supporting complex health conditions, assisting people with sensory loss and communication challenges as well as with people who are significantly more independent but vulnerable to coercion and control and who may reject support.

You will be part of a large team and working as partners with professionals and families and so your communication skills and level of professionalism must be at the highest level.

Being a team player who can take on additional responsibilities based on a key working model is also a requirement.

About Working Well Trust 

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment. 

We are now recruiting IPS Employment Advisors to join our IPS service to join our Kingston & Sutton team. This is a full-time, permanent role working 35 hours per week, following the principles of the IPS model to support people into paid employment. Please note that if you have previously applied for this role, we will not be considering repeat applications on this occasion.

If you were working with us, your days would be varied and people-centred. We have exciting opportunity at our Coventry & Warwickshire IPS Employment service, where you will join our friendly and inspiring team as a IPS Employment Specialist. Your role will be a permanent position working, 

37.5 hours per week field-based role.

Role will be based in the community of South Warwickshire

A good working local knowledge of all areas of South Warwickshire would of be ideal.

You will be integrated into the NHS to provide employment support for people experiencing severe mental illness with the aim of gaining employment. You will attend 6 meetings per week with local employers to build relationships and engage them regarding our service, in the above locations.

In addition, you will meet your clients each week to provide them with face-to-face support. Key to this role will also be to undertake administration duties such as producing letters, spreadsheets, and keeping various systems up to date.  As part of the role, you will receive System 1 training from the NHS which will be made up of a series of 10 online sessions and a final assessment.

You will also be expected to operate Rethinks internal CRM systems on a daily basis, full training will be provided.

What will you be doing?

• Manage a caseload of between 20-30 service users at any one time who are currently off work / unemployed, receiving specialist mental health services and who wish to return to work, pro rota.
• Build relationships with clinical teams to generate referrals and create a collaborative working partnerships with NHS clinicians where employment support is integrated into mental health treatment and forms part of the Transformation plan.
• Build a multi-disciplinary approach to the return to work. For example, involve clinical staff (where relevant) in managing symptoms at work, liaise with DWP and other stake holder groups.
• To prepare individuals for a return to work by supporting service users to understand their skills, aspirations and goals through vocational profiling and action planning.
• Focus on rapid job search with the service user, whilst utilising local support networks to help them overcome their barriers to employment.
• Source job opportunities for service users through tailored job search and regular contact with employers, with 6 face to face contacts per week in the community.

Do you have what we are looking for?

• A basic understanding of IPS (Individual Placement Support) gained through experience or self-conducted research.
• Experience in recruitment or employment along with advice and guidance on employment needs 
• Ability to engage with employers and build close, trusting, and productive relationships with people
• Good understanding of the local area and it’s employers
• Strong IT skills with the competency to use a range of complex systems and software

• Good understanding of the principles and practice of supported employment
• Experience of working in supported employment services is desirable
• Good time management, diary organisation, be adaptable/flexible as no two days are the same and to be able to work with minimal supervision
• Experience of working with people with mental health problems or a similar service user group is desirable

We are looking for an Employment Specialist to support individuals with health conditions, mental health difficulties, a disability or complex barriers to employment to gain, retain, or return to employment, following the IPS principles. Sounds great, what will I be doing?

You will support a caseload of 20 – 25 clients to find competitive and sustained employment. Around 20% of referrals will be to assist clients to remain in work if struggling, or return to work, if off sick. Employment Specialists will follow the 8 principles of IPS, adhere to the IPS Fidelity Scale and achieve monthly targets and KPIs with the required administration and compliance.

With excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will confidently engage with clients, stakeholders, and partners, building effective relationships and delivering creative, solution-focused support. You will be highly organised, able to manage your time, prioritise tasks, and work to deadlines in an outcome-driven environment.

You will demonstrate a positive, professional, and self-motivated approach, with a genuine belief in the value of employment in improving wellbeing and independence. Strong assessment, action planning, and record-keeping skills are essential, alongside proficiency in Microsoft Office and database systems. About Working Well Trust

Working Well Trust is a mental health and employment charity in London. All of our projects share the aim of improving the lives of people with mental health support needs, learning disabilities and/or complex issues through training and employment.

We are now recruiting for a role providing focused, time-limited information, advice and guidance to individuals experiencing mental health challenges, supporting them to return to, remain in, or move towards employment, with a particular focus on engaging those facing multiple and intersecting barriers to work.

About the Service

Herts Mind Network is a new delivery partner of Hertfordshire’s ‘Connect To Work’ programme, overseen by Step2Skills, Hertfordshire County Council.

The Connect to Work programme has launched in Hertfordshire in August 2025 and is designed to support residents with disabilities, health conditions, or complex barriers into meaningful employment.

This UK Government-funded programme is part of a nationwide effort to reduce economic inactivity and promote inclusive workplaces.

Connect to Work is a personalised Supported Employment programme that pairs eligible individuals with dedicated Employment Advisors.

About the Role

We are seeking four highly motivated, organised and compassionate Employment Advisors, to deliver the countywide Connect To Work programme in our new Employment workstream. In this highly rewarding role, you will be responsible supporting individuals experiencing mental health problems, and those facing complex barriers, to secure and sustain meaningful paid employment.

This position is part of the Connect to Work programme — a voluntary Supported Employment initiative funded by the Department for Work and Pensions. You will deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model, offering tailored advice and guidance to individuals, while also building strong partnerships with local employers to create opportunities aligned with individuals’ skills and aspirations.

As an Employment Advisor you will deliver the Individual Placement and Support (IPS) model to meet individuals regularly to understand an individual’s skills, strengths and goals; developing clear action plans; provide practical support; and co-create personalised action plans.

The programme provides structured, 1:1 and group based person centred support to build confidence, motivation and resilience, to help individuals work towards clear, work related goals.

You will also engage with employers to identify suitable opportunities, arrange interviews, and offer ongoing support to both individuals and employers to promote successful job retention; whilst advocating for individuals to de-stigmatise mental health.

You may also work with a small number of individuals who are already in work to sustain and thrive in their employment.

As an Employment Advisor you will be responsible for:

• Delivering effective 1:1 and group person centred employment support to individuals looking for work
• Delivering effective 1:1 and group person centred employment support to individuals looking to continue with work
• Liaising with employers to seek opportunities for individuals
• Accurate and timely record keeping to demonstrate activity and impact
• Ensuring high-quality support is delivered at all times, aligned with HMN values
