This role plays a vital part in supporting family and friend carers across West Sussex, with a particular emphasis on the Worthing and Adur districts. While you’ll work across all South localities as needed, your main focus will be on these communities.

As a Locality Co-ordinator, you’ll provide line management and guidance to a team of Carer Wellbeing Workers. You’ll work closely with fellow Co-ordinators and the Carer Community Services Manager to help build a strong, responsive local team. Together, you’ll deliver high-quality information, guidance, and wellbeing opportunities that make a real impact in carers’ lives.

This is a hybrid role, combining remote and home working with delivery in community venues. You’ll need to readily travel across Arun, Adur, and Worthing to provide carer support and attend meetings, so familiarity with these areas—whether through work or residence—would be a real advantage.

Job Role

• Team Leadership: Support the Community Services Team Manager with the day-to-day operational management of a team of Locality Wellbeing Workers.

• Line Management: Undertake 1-1s and annual reviews, celebrating successes and implementing effective performance management to support individuals. 

• Carer Support: Provide direct support to a small caseload and use the Carers Star™ to empower carers to create personal plans to achieve positive change.

About the role
You will manage a team of 3 fundraising professionals to plan and deliver our portfolio of virtual and DIY fundraising events, including our Facebook Challenges and growing Swim It campaign, with the objective of raising over £6m for people living with cancer. You will be responsible for the campaign strategy and delivery, supporting the team on recruitment through paid and organic marketing and delivering sector-leading stewardship, acting as the strategic lead for both internal and external relationships to enable this delivery. 

This role does require weekend work (although not at your desk) as you’ll be out and about cheering on our participants. You will be compensated for your weekend work with days in lieu.

The role 

Sustrans is the UK’s leading active travel organisation, working to make it possible for people across society to walk, wheel and cycle.  We have a new strategy for the next five years, a key strand of which is to unlock active travel in new housing developments, and we are recruiting a Head of New Developments to lead this work.

This is a new position in which you will draw on your experience in the housing delivery sector to grow Sustrans’ contribution to the creation of new communities that have active mobility at their heart.  As well as leading our influencing work aimed at organisations in housing delivery, you will develop and promote an offer to partners, drawing on Sustrans’ existing infrastructure, behaviour change and advisory services.  You will connect with, inform and inspire professionals and decision makers involved in delivering new homes to adopt the actions required to increase active travel in their developments.  Through collaboration with our Commercial team and subject experts across Sustrans, you will develop a pipeline of funded work from public, private and third sector organisations, ultimately enabling more households to walk, wheel or cycle for their day-to-day journeys.

The role can be based in any Sustrans office and will involve frequent in-person meetings and site visits, particularly (but not exclusively) in the Midlands and South of England. 

About you 

You’ll have significant experience contributing to the delivery of new developments through work for or with organisations such as developers, housing providers, consultancies, local authorities or government.  We’re looking for applicants with a professional network in housing delivery, and significant experience securing new commissions from and/or influencing organisations involved in delivering new developments.  You’ll have a strong understanding of the development process, including the spatial planning system, and of the roles of the parties involved in delivering new developments, the power dynamics between them, and the opportunities and appetite each has for taking action to increase active travel.  Naturally, you’ll have deep knowledge of the challenges, opportunities and hot topics in housing delivery – for new towns, urban extensions and urban intensification schemes.

You’ll have exceptional external-facing leadership skills, and be a strategic, creative thinker, able to solve problems and convert new ideas into practical actions.  Your outstanding communication skills will enable you to engage with stakeholders at a senior level, including on contentious subjects and on high-profile projects.  You’ll have strong business acumen to secure new commissions and deliver effectively for clients, and the skills to influence decision-makers.

You’ll have experience of engaging meaningfully with communities to ensure that new developments respond to the challenges and aspirations of local residents and stakeholders.  And you’ll have good knowledge of how active travel can be embedded into new developments to maximise the number of routine journeys that are walked, wheeled or cycled.

About the role:

At Single Homeless Project (SHP), we believe in the power of learning to transform not only careers, but lives. As part of our blended learning approach, e-learning plays a key role in developing and empowering our staff to deliver the best possible support to people experiencing homelessness across London. The role of Parks Volunteer Programme coordinator in the Enable Parks team will allow you to demonstrate your skills working with stakeholders and local communities to deliver park improvements, habitat management tasks and one-off volunteering opportunities. You will assist with developing working relations with existing corporate partners and increasing our reach by creating new partnerships in the local area and beyond. 

Your responsibility will be to manage and deliver volunteering sessions throughout the entire portfolio of parks and greenspaces.  You will develop a volunteering program which is established but in its infancy, working with key managers and the team around you to create a purposeful and output focussed programme of opportunities for local groups and corporate partners.  The potential to develop volunteering is significant, and therefore the most suitable candidates will have an entrepreneurial spirit and drive to ‘make things happens’.

• Support colleagues in the Parks team with daily operational and project works where relevant, as directed by the Parks Delivery Manager. 

Skills and Experience:  

• Educated to degree level (or equivalent qualification) or appropriate experience in a directly related post.
• Experience of working in a volunteer management, coordination or programming role, or similar work delivering practical biodiversity, habitat or landscape management. 
• Proven ability to organise, plan, and manage projects effectively (including budget management, Health and Safety oversight, and environmental monitoring data). 
• Experience of managing / supporting volunteers (delivering soft/hard landscaping improvements with volunteers is desirable.)  
• Experience of developing annual outdoor educational/volunteering programmes for a wide range of participants.
• Entrepreneurial and customer service focussed, to allow the volunteer programme to develop into a sustainable, profitable and scalable service area. 
• The ability to work independently using your own initiative and prioritise effectively whilst at the same time working collaboratively as part of a team on common goals and shared projects to ensure the work programme is delivered effectively.

Background:

Longfield Hall Trust (LHT) manages the historic Longfield Hall, offering a range of cultural experiences and classes for all ages. Our new Memory Café project aims to support dementia patients and their carers by providing a welcoming space for social and recreational activities. The Café will offer dementia friendly activities (including karaoke, bingo, arts/crafts and immersive theatre/dance shows) to empower dementia patients to enjoy regular social, cognitive and physical activities.

Alongside supporting patients, the Memory Café will create a highly supportive environment for carers. This will enable carers to take some 'time out' while remaining nearby in a safe space where both carers and patients can socialize more widely. Furthermore, the Café will provide access to information about relevant local services, ensuring comprehensive support for all attendees.

The Memory Café Care Worker will support the Memory Café Manager and enable us to support a broad range of dementia patients and their carers.

Hours of Work: 14 hours a week (2 days per week) at least one of the days per week at Longfield Hall. We will launch an all-day café (10.30 to 3.30pm) on Thursday 4 September.

Background:

Longfield Hall Trust (LHT) manages the historic Longfield Hall, offering a range of cultural experiences and classes for all ages. Our new Memory Café project aims to support dementia patients and their carers by providing a welcoming space for social and recreational activities. The Café will offer dementia friendly activities (including karaoke, bingo, arts/crafts and immersive theatre/dance shows) to empower dementia patients to enjoy regular social, cognitive and physical activities.

Alongside supporting patients, the Memory Café will create a highly supportive environment for carers. This will enable carers to take some 'time out' while remaining nearby in a safe space where both carers and patients can socialize more widely. Furthermore, the Café will provide access to information about relevant local services, ensuring comprehensive support for all attendees.

We are also providing a dementia care-worker who will support the Memory Café manager and enable us to support a broad range of dementia patients and their carers.

Main duties and responsibilities:

Roles and responsibilities:

• To manage the Memory Café service for people living with dementia and their carers.
• To coordinate and deliver a stimulating programme of weekly sessions of the Memory Café at Longfield Hall together with our collaborators/partners/external agencies.
• To lead the coordination and facilitation of the Memory Café, providing a welcoming and supportive space.
• To undertake assessments, risk assessments and including home visits of new participants to ensure group suitability and engagement.
• To liaise with carers, family members, and professionals to support participant wellbeing.
• To help plan and deliver a range of personalised activities to create a lively and stimulating environment.
• To take responsibility for evaluating the service and report writing.
• To take the lead in the team for the implementation of a comprehensive service of care and support for participants.
• To ensure all sessional facilitators have materials required for sessions by liaising with Memory Café Care Worker.
• To actively participate in the development of improvements for the service.
• To support people with care needs, including those living with mild - moderate dementia and complex needs.

• To understand the changing needs of older people, including those with mild to moderate to advanced Dementia.

• To arrange transport as needed.

• To assist with handling monies for transport and reimbursement

• To provide dementia advice and support signposting and making referrals to external agencies as and when the need arises. 

• Awareness of safeguarding, and health and safety responsibilities.

The Grants & Foundations Lead will pioneer a new approach to grant management at TLG through shaping the administration and systems used, and harnessing AI to create efficiencies. This approach will allow the core focus of the role to be on facilitating the wider team, implementing a new grants strategy and sourcing and liaising with funders. Based primarily within our Fundraising & Supporter Engagement team, this individual will grow and maximise voluntary income from trusts and foundations, working closely with Directors, colleagues across TLG and with external partners.

The successful candidate will focus on raising funds both for projects in the UK and helping to grow our work internationally. They will work alongside TLG’s Innovation Hub to source finances for new pilots and innovations – playing a vital role in pioneering new approaches for local churches to serve their communities. From pulling together compelling applications, leading new projects and contributing to strategic development, you’ll be at the heart of our mission to bring hope and a future to struggling children.

The post will have a key role to support, develop and grow smaller groups who have unique relationships with, and understanding of, “seldom heard” groups in the borough.

In this post, funded for 2 years,  you will focus on:

• Identifying and engaging with these groups to better understand their service offer, user base and development needs.
• Connecting: Building trusting and supportive relationships to help form connections across the wider sector by establishing an informal grassroots network of micro VCSEs in Bromley to build a sustainable support system of peer support and intelligence sharing.
• Developing: Providing tailored capacity building support to groups to maximise the positive impact of their services such as support with communications, coordination, governance, funding and premises to name a few.
• Promoting: Enable greater recognition of, respect for, and relationships between micro grassroots VCSEs and health partners in Bromley as well as wider awareness among residents of the services offered by these groups to boost their impact.

The post will include outreach with a focus in the areas of highest health inequalities.

Roll up your sleeves and deliver employability sessions directly to our incredible young people. You'll also help our Delivery Partners and volunteers do the same, both in person and virtually through our trusty MS Teams. When we're doing things face-to-face, you’ll need to hit the road and be there in person to help with programme delivery or programme visits to make sure all is running as smoothly as possible.

Headway Gloucestershire was established in 1987 and since then we have been working to make a positive difference to the lives of adults with an acquired brain injury. We provide specialist recovery support and respite through our centre based Day Service and outreach support through our Community Links Service. We provide group and one to one sessions to support individuals.

Open every weekday, Headway House is at the heart of Headway Gloucestershire.  We provide a structured programme of activities for individuals to choose from. Our programme is designed to support participants to work toward their own recovery goals and gain insight into strategies that support individuals to manage the physical, cognitive, sensory, emotional and behavioural outcomes which can occur following an acquired brain injury. Peer group sessions enable us to harness the recovery benefits of peer contact and support.

We have been successful in receiving three years of funding to deliver services in up to five locations in Gloucestershire and are recruiting a Hub Lead to support the delivery of our Hubs – to meet and support the recovery needs of individuals with acquired brain injury in their community. The Hub Lead will be responsible for the organisation, planning, development and delivery of this new service. Responsibilities include: -

• To deliver professional, impartial, enabling and outcome focused support to Individuals with acquired brain injury. To provide support for clients with complex needs to support their recovery, wellbeing, independence and autonomy.
• Work closely with the Enablement Manager to ensure successful delivery of services.
• Line managing a Support Worker and providing cover at Headway House where required.
• Networking with community providers to enrich our offer to enable us to meet the needs of individuals with acquired brain injury in Gloucestershire.
• Scheduling room bookings and programme planning. Developing and delivering group sessions.
• Ensure that safeguarding training and understanding is kept current and that individuals are safeguarded.
• Provide Key-working to individuals: - to use an enabling approach to support individuals to plan and work toward their recovery goals ensuring that planned activities are delivered and support is tailored to meet the needs of each individual to maximise our contribution to their recovery.

Primarily carrying out the role in community Hubs, you will work to clearly established quality standards and annual milestones. You will be joining a motivated and dynamic team of staff and volunteers working to making a difference to individuals with acquired brain injury in Gloucestershire.

The successful candidate will demonstrate: -
