The Opportunity
We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Partnerships Manager to join our small and dynamic team. This new role will support the Head of Partnerships and wider WFN team in delivering our fundraising strategy, stewarding high-value donor relationships, and unlocking new opportunities for income growth.
The Partnerships Manager will work directly with some of WFN’s existing portfolio of 30 Major Donors made up primarily of Trusts, Family Foundations and High-Net-Worth Individual (HNWI) supporters, with some Corporates. The Partnerships Manager will maintain close professional relationships with supporters that are bespoke and require excellent interpersonal skills, with most meetings taking place in-person, in central London.

Main areas of responsibility
- Build relationships with portfolio of five and six figure trust supporters, understanding their motivations and tailoring opportunities and communications to cultivate strong, long-lasting partnerships.
- Foster a deep understanding of FareShare’s work and strategy to create persuasive fundraising proposals that inspire and solicit funds. This includes developing relationships across the organisation to build a sound understanding of FareShare operations and where support is most needed
- Champion and input in to the teams prospecting process, using your own research and sector knowledge to take new opportunities from identification through to solicitation, particularly focussing on those with multi-year and high value potential.
- Develop innovative and personalised stewardship plans, in collaboration with senior colleagues when appropriate, to deepen funder relationships. Craft compelling written communications including emails, proposals, and reports to showcase the impact of trust support and celebrate key milestones. Lead calls, meetings and visits to strengthen funder partnerships and engagement with our work.
- Provide supportive management to a Trust and Grants Officer, offering regular advice and guidance, identifying opportunities for development and monitoring performance objectives in line with the organisational and team strategy.

As a direct marketing subject matter expert, they will lead cold recruitment campaigns and support in identifying and delivering new products or acquisition streams. The roles will lead on planning and project managing delivery of a variety of media channels, both online and offline. Each manager will hold strategic areas of focus, be responsible for seven figure expenditure budgets and line manage a Supporter Acquisition Officer or Executive.
The successful candidates will have significant direct marketing expertise with a strong background in project managing multiple campaigns across a range of channels, ideally in a fundraising role, and with proven success at recruiting new donors. You will have a passion for fundraising with a commercial understanding of the charity marketplace and competitors. The Role
Reporting to the Engagement Lead, the Engagement Officer will work with colleagues across the locality to deliver against planned activity and building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders. Engaging with service providers, clinical partners, community groups for stroke survivors and carers in the locality. including managing relationships with voluntary led support groups, developing the London groups network.

ECHO supports children and young people with heart conditions and their families, who have been treated within the Guy's and St Thomas' NHS network of 47 hospitals. Congenital heart disease is the most common birth defect and affects just under 1 in every 100 babies born throughout the UK.

About the Role:
As Senior Philanthropy Manager (Maternity Cover) you will:
- Proactively build a personal portfolio of HNWIs and UHNWIs able to give £1m+ through relationship development, appropriate and dynamic pitching and influencing and negotiating expertise.
- Effectively line manage three direct line reports. Lead by example and support high performance, ensuring the professional and personal development goals of staff are met.
- Proactively manage, with the prospect research team, the philanthropy team’s new business pipeline to achieve team and organisational objectives, working across the Strategic Partnerships department and across the WaterAid Federation as appropriate.
- Be the senior level contact for all aspects of event planning and delivery, supporting the Philanthropy and Events Manager to manage the strategic planning, development and running of an events programme to time and budget for the benefit of the Philanthropy and Trusts Team, and where appropriate, the wider Strategic Partnerships Department.
Requirements
To be successful, you’ll need:
- Proven track record of raising “Principal gifts” of £1m+.
- Proven ability to manage a successful philanthropic portfolio, achieving targets as part of a strategic plan and maximising income from existing supporters.
- Experience managing the complexities of income management and KPI’s to monitor the teams progress and growth.
- Experience of line management / supervising the work of others; leading and motivating others and driving change.

Role Purpose
This is an exceptional opportunity to join the Royal Hospital Chelsea as Assistant Director of Audience Engagement on a fixed term contract to cover maternity leave. A core focus of the role is to develop the Royal Hospital Chelsea into a national heritage destination while ensuring our community of veterans remains at the heart of everything we do.

The Community Engagement Officer is an essential role in fostering strong relationships with current and prospective members of the School Library Association community. The postholder will provide frontline support, drive online and in person engagement through outreach initiatives, and contribute to the growth and sustainability of the membership base. In this role, you will develop and implement strategies to cultivate and steward existing partnerships while identifying new opportunities for multi-year collaborations. You’ll create compelling proposals, deliver inspiring stewardship events, and work closely with teams across the organization to maximise marketing and engagement opportunities.

Duties and key responsibilities
Leadership and Strategy
• Support on the development of the corporate partnership programme. Working alongside
the Head of Philanthropy to create a strategic plan that will identify, cultivate, solicit and
steward a portfolio of existing corporate partners in line the overall fundraising strategy.
• Monitor and analyse trends within corporate fundraising, both internally and externally,
using these findings to influence the direction of the programme.
• Develop a pipeline of new prospective corporate partners, working alongside the Prospect
research manager.
Relationship Development and Events
• Cultivate, engage and manage strong relationships with existing corporate partners with a
focus on building strategic multi-year partnerships.
• Create high quality, inspiring proposals, pitches and materials to maximise new
opportunities.
• Work with the communications and advocacy team to maximise marketing opportunities.
• Lead on the development of inspiring stewardship events that convey MAP’s work and
impact to current and new corporate partners.
Budget Management, reporting and compliance
• Create three year rolling budgets and reforecasts, setting income and expenditure targets in
collaboration with the Head of Philanthropy.
• Manage financial planning, reporting, and risk assessment for the Corporate Partnerships
budget.
• Ensure that the corporate partnerships programme adheres to due diligence procedures
and carry out regular due diligence reporting on existing corporate partnerships.
• Utilise and maintain the CRM database to ensure accurate reporting and stewardship.
