Job summary for Head of Health Information and Education
The Head of Health Information and Education is a key role at Bowel Cancer UK, leading the delivery of our health information and health professional education. We currently provide high quality support, but we know we need to do even more, reach more people and have an even greater impact.
The Head of Health Information and Education will, alongside our Clinical Lead, lead the development and delivery of our services in this area. This is a pivotal role with key areas of focus:
• Drive innovation in health information.
• Drive innovation in the content and delivery of health professional education.
• Expand our reach and accessibility to ensure no one faces bowel cancer alone.
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders.
• Champion technology and digital solutions to enhance service delivery.

We are seeking an experienced Bid Writer to join our established funding team. The successful candidate will develop persuasive, compelling and compliant tender responses to support income generation for our charity. The role requires excellent writing skills, creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate with colleagues across various departments.

- Ensure compliance with all bid requirements and internal standards.
- Research and summarise bid-related topics, competitors, and markets as required to support tender preparation and submission.
- Collaborate closely with operations managers, finance, and other relevant staff to gather information/ data and develop effective service delivery models necessary for tender submissions.
- Submit/ upload PQQs, tenders, and supporting information.

We are looking for a temporary events officer for a passionate and collaborative disability charity. You will manage an agreed portfolio of fundraising events, taking place throughout the year. You will also provide high levels of supporter care.
This is hybrid role with 2 days a week in the London office and you will be needed until they recruit for the permanent role.
The Role
Lead on the delivery of a number of events from the agreed portfolio; both owned and third party events. Responsibilities to include researching an events feasibility, planning, marketing, recruiting participants, and evaluation. The Sortition Foundation, alongside democracy movement allies, is campaigning for a permanent citizens' assembly (CA) in Greater Manchester. Greater Manchester's governance is flawed, with a mayoral authority backed by a small, indirectly elected Greater Manchester Combined Authority (GMCA), leaving residents with just one vote every four years. A permanent CA would address this deficit by giving people a voice and holding leaders accountable. A CA would not only benefit greater Manchester but strengthen the Mayor’s decision-making and boost the region’s influence. As metro mayors expand nationwide, this campaign sets a powerful precedent, positioning Greater Manchester as a leader in democratic reform.
About the role
This role supports the delivery of a campaign for a permanent citizens’ assembly in Greater Manchester. Working closely with the Head of Organising and the wider organising and campaigns team, the Organiser will help engage existing supporters, reach new people, and support the practical delivery of organising activities and administration (keeping records and contact lists, etc).
The role is focused on implementation and support, rather than campaign strategy, senior political representation (i.e. this is not a lobbying campaign), or organisational decision-making. The postholder will contribute to base-building and supporter engagement while developing their organising skills within a supportive team environment.

About the team
The Activation team sits within the Supporter Marketing team which plays a key role in our successful and innovative fundraising programme. The team is vital to the long-term income growth of the organisation; recruiting new individual givers and increasing the engagement of existing supporters through an audience led communication programme of diverse channels and products.
About the role
In this Senior Marketing Officer role with the Activation Team, you will be responsible for the management and delivery of the Press Inserts and Door Drop campaigns. You will be supporting the Senior Marketing Manager and taking direct responsibility in the exploration and delivery of new campaigns, projects and channels. The role will also include support in the delivery of the DRTV and Brand programmes as well as supporting with ad hoc team requirements.

In this role, you will:
- Work closely with multiple internal and external teams, creative and media agencies and printers. Manage key agency relationships, including liaising with account managers to deliver campaigns and projects.
- Be responsible for developing the strategy, analysis and reporting of ongoing Press Insert and Door Drop campaigns.
- Work with the Insight Team and creative agencies to manage and deliver audience focussed communications.
- Support the Senior Marketing Manager (Supporter Activation) to prepare annual plans and budgets and manage monthly cost monitoring and invoice processing.
- Collaborate with relevant colleagues in other departments to identify and implement new cross-working opportunities
- Champion WaterAid’s commitment to equity, inclusion and safeguarding.
Requirements
To be successful, you will need:
- Proven experience in a successful direct marketing, fundraising, supporter activation and/or supporter engagement and/or customer marketing role
- Experience working in a project managing role, in particular leading or supporting on the delivery of complex campaigns with multiple stakeholders
- Ability to work flexibly and independently, to manage varying competing priorities and meet strict deadlines with often changing priorities
Although not essential, we’d prefer you to have:
- Experience of project managing direct marketing campaigns from start to finish across a range of channels, including print, telemarketing and digital.
- Experience of presenting to and project managing internal and external stakeholders.
- Experience of working in the voluntary/fundraising sector
- Experience of working in a fast-paced environment and being able to work to short deadlines
