About the role
We have been awarded the Department for Education contract to deliver high quality training to kinship carers across England. You will be responsible for delivering high quality online and face-to-face training and managing a team of inhouse facilitators and external partners.
This is a new team so you will need to be someone who is comfortable with a high level of ambiguity and who is able to build outcome and target driven services from a user centred approach. We have a lot to do over the next 18 months.
From April 2024 to March 2025, your team will need to deliver exceptional training to 4,000 kinship carers in England through in person and online sessions. These are divided into introductory and advanced training. We will be delivering at least 16 roadshows across England so travel will be required in this role. In person training will also involve experiential learning in peer support groups and community venues. Introductory training will be delivered in-house.
You will also work with external expert facilitators and partners to develop new advanced training sessions and modules. Subject experts within Kinship, will also deliver training and you will need to ensure content and delivery meets a consistent standard.
The right person will need to work collaboratively with colleagues across Kinship and be used to working in cross-functional teams. You’ll need to be curious, detail orientated with an improvement mindset.

As Regional Manager you will represent, manage and co-ordinate FoodCycle for your allocated regional Projects. Our Projects are spaces where volunteers are empowered to run their own community meals using surplus food.
You will manage local relationships with venues, community partners, supermarkets and volunteer recruitment channels to enable this to happen. You will continually be looking to increase our impact by working towards targets of increased meals served to our guests, expanding our existing Projects and setting up new ones within Yorkshire and The Humber.
As an excellent communicator, you will manage the volunteers at each Project ensuring they are trained, supported and on-message with FoodCycle strategy, ensuring that volunteers are confident enough to self-organise and make a success of their Projects.
You will have experience of programme planning, delivery and development including community led/owned programmes. A full driving license and access to a vehicle for work purposes is essential for this exciting role.

Role Overview
The Programme Associate delivers Facing History training and support to educators, helps to build and engage our network of teachers and, using Facing History’s pedagogical framework, creates clear and accessible curriculum materials and resources.
The Programme Associate will initially be managed by the Executive Director and be accountable to our Senior Programme Associate (responsible for programme delivery) and Senior Curriculum Developer (responsible for developing and adapting educational resources) respectively for work that falls into their areas of responsibility.
This post holder will be required to attend meetings in London and there will be travel across the UK. Proximity to good transport links is therefore essential.
Key Duties and Accountabilities
Working alongside the programme team, the postholder will have the following key duties and responsibilities:

Programme Delivery: planning, preparing for and delivering training for educators both online and in person.

Teacher Community Support and Engagement: creating relationships with teachers across our community, and running events and opportunities for them to engage more effectively with the organisation. Content Development: alongside the Senior Curriculum Developer, developing web- and print-based content for teachers and students, including lesson plans, units, study guides, and other resources. Researching, writing, and summarising complex histories to provide context for resources. Maintaining knowledge and expertise in best practices in teaching, pedagogy, and assessment, and ensuring those practices are reflected as appropriate in Facing History content. Providing content for our Ideas This Week website page and providing other means of supporting teachers to respond to current events in their classrooms. In conjunction with the Programme Administrator write / review content for Facing History UK social media activity linked to existing and newly developed resources.
Other: contributing to the smooth operation and effectiveness of the charity as part of a small team, representing the charity at events and conferences as required, and supporting the work of other members of the team as reasonably required.

About the role:
The Programmes Performance and Learning Coordinator will play a key role organisationally by enhancing our ability to report on the efficiency, effectiveness, and impact of MAG’s work. The PLC will support MAG’s Contract Director working on the monitoring, evaluation and learning of complex, multi-country contracts, including the UK FCDO Global Mine Action Programme (GMAP) and the Dutch MFA Mine Action and Cluster Munitions (MACM) programme. The Climate Emergency Collaboration Group (CECG) is a regranting collaboration made up of some of the world's largest climate philanthropic funders. We use our convening and philanthropic power to facilitate stronger collaboration, coordination, and campaigning from the global climate movement in pursuit of increased climate action around the UN climate talks and other international summits. CECG is fiscally sponsored by Rockefeller Philanthropy Advisors (RPA), a 501(c)(3), as a Sponsored Project within its charitable-giving fund.
Purpose of role
The MEL Director will be responsible for leading CECG’s data-based monitoring, evaluation, and learning processes. They will oversee the development of our funder reports, support our programmatic staff in maximizing the impact and learning opportunities of our grantmaking, and will work with grantees and other partners in the field to help establish and implement best practices, with a focus on collaboration and capacity-building.
The ideal candidate will be a highly motivated self-starter who will work closely with CECG's leadership team in improving the effectiveness, efficiency, and adaptability of the climate moment. This role will collaborate closely with the Executive Director, Operations Director, and program staff to help advance CECG's mission of advancing multilateral climate solutions.
This is a fast-paced and dynamic role at the intersection of philanthropy, grantmaking, campaigning, strategy, and advocacy to support global climate diplomacy.
Primary responsibilities
MEL systems thinking:
· Develop and implement a multi-year MEL strategy for the organization – including internally and externally focused work streams.
· Oversee and iterate on CECG’s Theory of Change, in line with CECG’s new 3 Year Plan.
· Design and implement a robust Results Framework in partnership with CECG’s Executive and Programmatic Directors, ensuring alignment with CECG’s 3 Year Plan.
· Work with Operations and Program directors to ensure annual strategies are aligned with CECG’s Results Framework.
· Develop and oversee MEL and grantmaking quality standards, including a mechanism for assessing and implementing improvement plans.
· Help develop and embed a culture of evaluation and learning across the entire CECG team, including the development and implementation of targeted Key Learning Questions, and using organisational data to drive learning, knowledge sharing and capacity building.
CECG funder reporting:
· Partner closely with CECG’s funders to develop universal reporting templates and KPIs for the 6+ foundations that support our work.
· Oversee and project manage the development of our annual end of year report for our funders, as well as any bespoke or mid-year reports.
· Ensure CECG funder feedback is continually integrated into CECG’s grantmaking.
Grantmaking:
· Work with programmatic staff to identify appropriate outcomes and KPIs for key CECG grants, with a focus on identifying opportunities for data-driven insights to inform future learning and strategic development.
· Identify, implement, and train the team on the tools and processes CECG needs in order to maximize its MEL process and the strategic impact of its grantmaking and programmatic spending.
· Work with other CECG staff to ensure risk identification and risk management best practices are embedded across CECG’s grantmaking, while ensuring CECG’s work remains innovative and ambitious.
· Work with Grants and Campaign Managers to iteratively improve upon CECG’s grantee contracting and reporting processes and templates.
· Work with the programs team to identify and implement evaluation programs for key CECG grantees.
External coordination and representation:
· Partner with CECG funders and their MEL teams, along with other climate regranting organizations, to enhance transparency and develop collaborative and coordinated best practices across grantee reporting (both with re-granters and NGO partners).
· Work with key grantees and grantmaking partners to identify opportunities for levelling-up the field’s MEL, KPI, and reporting practices, with a focus on equity, trust-building, minimizing labor for grantees, and maximizing impact, alignment, capacity-building, and iterative learning.
· Act as an ambassador for CECG at key conferences, with funders and grantees, and across other partner meetings, and showcase CECG’s role as a leader in the collaborative philanthropic ecosystem.
Additional responsibilities:
· Support in the development of best MEL and KPI-development best practices for key CECG grantees, with a focus on capacity and efficacy-building.
· Develop and implement MEL training materials for CECG grantees, with a focus on building up the field – particularly for Global South and youth-led organizations.
· Identify, through a MEL lens, opportunities for how CECG can further support the growth, development, and capacity-building of its grantees.

Role Summary

Key Duties / Responsibilities
Strategic purpose:

About the role
At Animals Asia, donors are an integral part of the organisation. We know they are every bit as passionate about our goals as we are and, without them, our work would not be possible.
The Foundations team sits within the Global Partnerships team, made up of Foundations, Philanthropy, and Corporate partnerships. Our aim is to find and build relationships with new partners who can make a significant difference to Animals Asia, while also managing relationships with existing partners. Working closely with the Trust or Foundation to align motivations and help them see how their money is being spent and reporting back on the impact of their donation.There is significant scope for growth with the Global Partnerships Team as Animals Asia enjoys increasing brand awareness.
The main purpose of this role is to support the work of Animals Asia by developing strong relationships, cultivating and stewarding a portfolio of charitable trusts, foundations and grant giving bodies in order to meet and exceed agreed income targets. Your portfolio will be global, consisting of donors from around the world, therefore knowledge of international fundraising from foundations is an advantage.

1. BACKGROUND AND RATIONALE
Established in 1979, Action Against Hunger is a non-governmental organisation that aims to provide solutions to hunger. Our mission is to save lives by eliminating hunger through the prevention, detection and treatment of under-nutrition, particularly during and after emergency situations linked to conflicts or natural disasters. We focus on nutrition, health and healthcare practices; food security and livelihoods; water, sanitation and hygiene and advocacy. In 2022, Action Against Hunger worked across 55 countries.
The Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) brings together fifteen of the UK’s leading aid charities to raise funds in response to major international humanitarian crises. Each are experts in humanitarian aid and specialise in different areas of disaster response. They come together to fundraise quickly and efficiently at times of crisis overseas and speak in one voice and make fundraising more efficient once an appeal is launched.
Action Against Hunger became a member of the Disasters Emergency Committee (DEC) in 2018. As a DEC member organisation, the AAH Network has supported the DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal.
A DEC-funded response has been delivered by Action Against Hunger in Moldova, Poland, Romania and Ukraine. Activities began in March 2022 and will come to an end in 2024.
The DEC has funded Action Against Hunger to deliver a response to the Ukraine crisis, focussed on cash-based interventions, mental health and psychosocial support as well as the distribution of food items and hygiene kits. Refugees, IDPs and host communities have been targeted by the intervention.
The rationale for conducting this evaluation is to strengthen the ability of Action Against Hunger to deliver localised humanitarian responses in the future. This is an increasingly important consideration for the Network. Action Against Hunger is committed to shifting the power to local and national civil society, as well as putting people and communities at the centre of programming. This evaluation will collect evidence and make recommendations about how this objective can be achieved.
Action Against Hunger’s Local Partnership Policy defines what the Network understands by localisation and local partnerships. This document also sets out a commitment to partnering with local/national (L/N) actors wherever possible, to acknowledging, respecting and strengthening the capacity, leadership and systems at a L/N level while learning from L/N actors and to ensuring our work always adds value and complements that of L/N actors. (This policy document was not in place for the whole of the response, as a result it will be used as a theoretical framework in a formative evaluation to identify learning areas.
The evaluation should also build upon and respond to Options for supporting and strengthening local humanitarian action in Ukraine: a scoping exercise report, published by the DEC in November 2022. This document identified the following four key priorities for promoting localisation within the context of the Ukraine response:
· Funding and financial management,
· Capacity strengthening and organisational development,
· Equitable partnerships, and,
· Coordination and collaboration.
2. OBJECTIVES AND FOCUS OF THE EVALUATION
The first objective of this consultancy is to determine the strengths and weaknesses of Action Against Hunger’s partnerships with L/N actors formed in response to DEC Ukraine Humanitarian Appeal funding. The focus of this evaluation will be partnerships with L/N actors that have no previous humanitarian experience. Across the four countries, the Network has developed formal and sustained partnerships with a wide variety of local organisations (including local non-governmental organisations, national government ministries, local government and community-based organisations). One focus of the evaluation will be to draw lessons learned from the successes and challenges of working in partnership in Ukraine and neighbouring countries to integrate into Network-wide learning
The second objective of this evaluation is to assess the extent that localisation has enabled Action Against Hunger to apply the Core Humanitarian Standard (CHS) within the Ukraine response. The CHS is the benchmark used by both the DEC and Action Against Hunger to define what quality and accountability mean in the context of humanitarian action. It will therefore be the standard by which the evaluation team assesses the intervention. Each of the nine CHS commitments will be used as criteria to structure the evaluation findings. Questions using the CHS are proposed in Table 1 below. (These questions are preliminary and the appointed evaluation team are welcome to make additions or modifications.)

3. DEFINITIONS
Action Against Hunger defines a local partnership as:
A relationship between Action Against Hunger and one or more local and/or national actors that work together to achieve a defined and shared goal, which contributes to the L/N actor’s work. This relationship may be short-term and operational, or long-term and strategic. Such a relationship is based on shared interest and complementarity, is constructive and dynamic in nature, and mutually beneficial – for our partners, for Action Against Hunger and, most importantly, for the people and communities we serve. (Action Against Hunger, ‘Localisation Partnership Strategy’, pp.5).
Local and national actors are defined as those who are:
· present in locations before, during and after a crisis,
· accountable to national/local laws as well as social and cultural norms,
· accountable to communities and the government where they work, and,
· led by local nationals where they work, and not internationally affiliated in terms of branding, governance, or financing (that results from that affiliation). (Ibid.)
4. EVALUATION PROCESS AND METHODOLOGY
Evaluation approach
Interested candidates should submit a technical proposal that incorporates the following methodological considerations:
· We are open to a range of methodologies, provided brief justification is given in the proposal.
· We anticipate findings will be based on the triangulation of evidence.
· The evaluation will use a participatory methodology. This is defined as L/N actors being empowered to shape the evaluation, findings and recommendations from inception phase to report writing.
· A multi-country perspective should be adopted, and findings should be relevant to the response as a whole.
Data collection techniques and sampling
The three data collection groups for this assessment are representatives of local/national (L/N) actors, Action Against Hunger stakeholders and communities and people affected by crisis. Primary data must be collected from all four locations considered by the evaluation (Moldova, Poland, Romania and Ukraine). The evaluators should therefore budget and plan for in-country and face-to-face data collection. It is expected that the evaluation team will rely on purposive sampling techniques. A quantitative survey using probability sampling is not a requirement of this evaluation.
As a minimum, the following methods should be used by the evaluation team:
· A document review,
· Key informant interviews with L/N actors,
· Key informant interviews with Action Against Hunger team members across the Network,
· Qualitative techniques (for example, focus group discussions) to collect data in collaboration with communities and people affected by crisis, and,
· At least three case studies featuring detailed information about local partnerships formed by Action Against Hunger during the Ukraine response that have a wider applicability in terms of recommendations and lessons learnt for the rest of the Network.
Data analysis
A systematic and rigorous plan for analysing qualitative data should be adopted by the evaluation team (for example, thematic analysis).
5. TIMEFRAME AND DELIVERABLES
The diagram below (Figure 1) suggests an indicative and preliminary workplan for this project. Note that this workplan is subject to change. All changes would be communicated by us in advance and further details can be drawn out during inception phase. The evaluation team are required to abide by DEC Evaluation Guidance. This document specifies that the final report should be submitted no longer than one month after programme activities finish. Data collection in each country should begin while programme activities are on-going and no later than one month before the end of the intervention.

There are three deliverables for the assignment: a) an inception report, b) an evaluation report, and c)) a findings and recommendations workshop to include both Action Against Hunger and L/N representatives. The structure of the evaluation report should include as a minimum:

6. SAFEGUARDING AND ETHICAL CONSIDERATIONS
The evaluation team will be expected to follow the Action Against Hunger International Code of Conduct, the Action Against Hunger UK Anti-Bribery Policy, the Action Against Hunger UK Child Protection Policy and the Action Against Hunger UK Modern Slavery Policy.

We are now looking for a Senior Network Manager to join our London team.
FUNCTION:
To manage the effective implementation of programme delivery and development in your area. This role will work with staff, schools and corporate partners to ensure that we deliver impact for the girls and young women we serve.

£33,600 per annum
Additional £2,500 London weighting after one year in role if applicable

LOCATION: Home based with regular travel across Central, North and South of London. Our expectation for the role is for the successful candidate to live in London.
WHAT WE DO
Young people from lower income families are 40% less likely to go to University than wealthier peers (Dept for Education, 2020) which can have a lifelong impact on earning potential. Covid-19 has deepened inequalities (Social Mobility Foundation, 2022) and negatively impacted on young people's wellbeing (GirlGuiding, 2020). We believe that no girls should have their futures limited by their gender, sex, ethnicity, background, or parental income and they should be supported to realise their ambitions, to discover their self-worth, and to develop their capacity to shape their world and their futures.
We work in communities of least advantage across England to deliver two core programmes to achieve this vision. Through our mentoring programme we connect 14-19 year old girls with a mentor and a wider network of role models who are women and deliver opportunities which help them to build life skills and nurture their ambitions. Based on the idea that 'you can't be what you can't see', our mentors often help girls to broaden their horizons and create a more positive vision of their futures. After the programme, the mentees can join a free, lifelong network of support - our Ambassador Community, which offers further opportunities to reach their goals, build their confidence and to share their voices and experiences.
Our programmes help girls and young women to develop the knowledge, skills, self-belief and opportunities to thrive, and to be supported as part of a network that champions them and ensures their voices are heard.
THE ROLE
Purpose: To manage the effective implementation of programme delivery and development of the London area. This role will work with staff, schools and corporate partners to ensure that we deliver impact for the girls and young women we serve.
Manage The Girls’ Network mentoring (and other) programmes in your region:
Partnership development:
- Develop effective partnerships with new schools, recruiting them into The Girls’ Network’s programme to enable your team to meet regional targets. Maintaining relationships for successful renewals.
- Collaborate with fundraising colleagues during the engagement process of new corporate partners, to ensure regional targets and needs are met e.g. income, mentor numbers, programme content.
- Oversee delivery of mentor opportunities for the region’s corporate partnerships, ensuring MOUs are met, referring any issues of concern to the Fundraising team for support and guidance.
- Provide relevant information to fundraising and MERL colleagues on any Tier 1 partners in the region, to enable production of evaluation reports
- Lead on delivery of the region’s awareness events, acting as the key contact person.
- Collaborate with the Fundraising & Communications team on key campaigns, e.g. International Womens’ Day, to reach key audiences and help build awareness and support income generation.
Mentor Community Development:
- Work with Mentor Community Lead and the fundraising team to identify regional mentoring needs and coordinate the implementation of a mentor recruitment and engagement plan in your region, ensuring your region has an appropriate amount of mentors to run programmes.
- Lead on the implementation and delivery of the region’s events, acting as the key contact person.
Safeguarding support and leadership:
- Provide day-to-day safeguarding support for the Programme team across London – escalating issues to the Safeguarding lead where appropriate.
- Provide feedback on key safeguarding risks or issues, and needs for development or training to the Safeguarding Lead
Monitoring and evaluation:
- Oversee the collection of regional data and ensure that your staff keep Salesforce up to date with mentee, mentor, schools and partners relationships to effectively track the progress, and impact of mentoring relationships.
- Periodically evaluate and report on the progress and impact of The Girls’ Network initiatives in the region.
- Hold overall responsibility for regional targets, reporting to SLT.
- Manage and allocate the budget for the mentoring programme in the region, to cover workshops, celebration events, travel etc
Line Management of region’s Network Managers:
- Manage Network Managers in the region, through regular 1:1s and accountability of reporting.
- Support the wellbeing and professional development of your regional team.
- Cover or support with programme delivery when needed.
Grow our network in your region:
- Identify opportunities for growth in the London region and work with SLT to develop regional strategy
- Advocate and promote The Girls’ Network at every opportunity to raise awareness of the charity and encourage community members to become mentors
Programme Leadership within The Girls’ Network Team:
Learning & Development
- Provide shadowing opportunities to Network Managers in other regions.
- As agreed with the Programme Delivery Lead, travel to other regions to provide targeted training to other NWMs.
- Coordinate Network Managers’ induction and recruitment.
Responsibility for an additional workstream:
- Each senior network manager is responsible for progressing aspects of programme workstream to timelines agreed with the accountable member of SLT. These may vary with need over time. Workstream to be agreed with Line Manager, but may include worksteams such as:
- Safeguarding
- Programme Process and Resource Development
- Prgoramme Development
- Sales Development etc

Essential skills, knowledge and attributes:

- You are excellent at managing a variety of stakeholders both face to face and at distance/online. You have the ability to create and maintain strong relationships with a variety of people from senior leaders in schools, local authorities, corporate organisations, line reports and volunteers
- You are proactive, solution focused and quick to learn
- You are flexible in your approach to working with a small organisation and understand the time and resources it takes to deliver
- You are able to plan and prioritise your own workload, supporting others to do the same
- You have a high standard of computer literacy (e.g. Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and are able to adapt quickly to new systems as required.
Desirable skills, knowledge and attributes:
- Have experience using a CRM system / Salesforce for tracking communications and income, and to create reports
- You have safeguarding experience

Read moreWe are delighted to be recruiting a Programme Development Manager to join our Programme Development & Operations team here at Mary’s Meals International. In this impactful new role, you will have responsibility for working with and guiding the global programme development team, in strengthening our school feeding approach and driving innovation, simplicity and stewardship within our school feeding programmes.
Reporting to the Programme Development Lead and working in close collaboration across our Programme Affiliates, Programme Partners, and Programme Operations teams, you will contribute to the implementation of strategic plans, as well as the development of key policy documents, research projects, and on-going data management for programmatic excellence activities. Managing data from our programmes and working closely with Programme Operations, this work will contribute to programmatic excellence and good stewardship of our resources, as we keep our promise to every child receiving Mary’s Meals.
Key responsibilities include:
· Strengthen capacity and capability within the programme development space across our Programme Affiliates and Partners.
· Manage and coordinate relevant and timely research to respond to programme issues and opportunities.
· Identify trends, issues, and opportunities across our programmes, and propose and lead upon ways to explore, understand, document, and implement these.
· Lead and manage research work, including the analysis of findings to promote learning and continuous improvement at a global level.
· Drive simplicity and stewardship in all programme activities, supporting the evolution of our school feeding approach, including identification of good practices and innovations outside of Mary’s Meals.
· Work closely with the Programme Development Lead, to manage and support the development of key policy documents.
· Take a key role in refining the needs assessment process, including continually monitoring need, creating, and refining tools and processes and conducting specific country-level needs assessments.
· Work with the communications team, to ensure responsible knowledge transfer through to other functions of our international team, ensuring the development lens is being communicated effectively.
Our ideal candidate will bring solid experience of quantitative and qualitative research design, implementation, and analysis. Relevant experience of monitoring and evaluation is essential, and experience of working in an international development context, with remote teams, would be highly beneficial. You will have exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience of building strong trust-based relationships and building capacity across a broad cultural and geographical spectrum. Understanding the role of school feeding in development would be beneficial and you will demonstrate a solution focused and values driven approach to your work.

About the role
This is a new role within the Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships team responsible for developing and leading our major donor programme. Myeloma UK is embarking on an ambitious five-year income generation strategy, which aims to increase income from £5m to £10m by 2028. This position will play a critical role, working alongside the Head of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships to double the income we raise from major donors and family trusts by securing 5-6 figure grants for a range of innovative and life changing programmes – including patient and family support, research and advocacy. The Philanthropy Manager is also responsible for managing and supporting the Philanthropy Officer in securing mid to high level donations from individuals.
The major donor programme at Myeloma UK is established - we have a strong community of existing high-level supporters and have identified significant potential donors within our community - but these opportunities have not been fully leveraged in the past. Building on this foundation, and a major fundraising Gala planned for Spring 2024, there is a significant opportunity to transform this area of fundraising and this role will be instrumental in delivering a step change in our approach. The role requires outstanding relationship building skills, and the ability to work with high-net-worth individuals, to build credibility and trust and inspire them to support Myeloma UK.
About you
You will be an experienced major donor fundraiser with the ability to secure 5-6 figure gifts and lead others to do the same. You will be a strategic thinker, who is ready to lead and implement our major donor strategy alongside the Head of Philanthropy and Strategic Partnerships.
We need someone with exceptional relationship management skills with the ability to nurture high value relationships and also work closely with senior colleagues, Trustees and other volunteers to build deep and long-lasting donor relationships. It will be crucial to work closely with colleagues across the charity to identify fundraising priorities, develop fundraising propositions and involve them in the cultivation and stewardship of key relationships.
You will be a skilled communicator and negotiator with the ability to communicate complex scientific information in an engaging way. We need someone who can build relationships from scratch, uncover donor motivations and convey the importance of Myeloma UK’s work to inspire support.

- Experience of leading development and delivery of impactful campaign strategies, with knowledge and understanding of a range of campaigning and organising tactics, and a track record of success.

- Understanding of target institution structures, processes and procedures.
- Understanding and experience of using a theory of change approach to shape campaign strategies.
