This is an exciting opportunity to join the Challenge Events Team at Dementia UK, where you will help coordinate a portfolio of third-party challenge event activities, driving both participation and income for the organisation. You’ll manage our Ultra Challenge Series, of whom we are a Series Partner, our Skydiving program and our Berlin Marathon team.
As a Challenge Events Executive, you will leverage your knowledge and utilise data-driven insights to identify new opportunities and shape budget plans. You will be responsible for driving and delivering marketing plans with a focus on email and digital activity, as well as coordinating the production of marketing collateral to ensure excellent supporter experiences and efficient delivery.
You will also work with the Database and Supporter Care teams as well as Challenge Events Assistants to ensure that supporter data is collected and stored efficiently, so that supporters are thanked appropriately, and post-campaign analysis is comprehensive. Additionally, you will be responsible for coordinating the production of stewardship collateral including copywriting, compiling design briefs and liaising with internal teams and expert suppliers.
To be successful in this role, you will have experience of coordinating fundraising events or campaigns. You should possess hands-on experience utilising relationship databases, coupled with an understanding of effective marketing channels, particularly digital.
Additionally, expertise in stewardship techniques will be crucial for increasing remittance rates and maximising average gifts. You should also have an understanding of how to use insights, data and market trends to identify opportunities and make recommendations.

Advocacy After Fatal Domestic Abuse (AAFDA) was founded by Frank Mullane in memory of his sister Julia Pemberton and her son Will who were both killed by her ex-partner in 2003. Each year, around 150 families lose a loved one to domestic homicide. We help these families in many ways, our prime function being to provide families in England and Wales with specialist peer support and expert and specialist advocacy for the range of statutory reviews that will take place after fatal domestic abuse.
AAFDA is a growing Charity and to meet the demands of this growth, we are looking for an Administration Assistant to join our busy team.
You’ll be part of a friendly but efficient, remote-working team and so will require a high level of self-motivation and initiative, excellent communication skills and a good sense of humour.

What you’ll do
As Events Assistant, you’ll play a key role in supporting the team to make sure all our events are delivered to the highest standard. You’ll be working closely alongside our Head of Events and Events Leads as part of our growing Marketing team to make sure all our events help students to make informed decisions about their next steps.
In-person events:

Work alongside the Event Lead, the main point of contact for Unifrog’s in-person conferences and events, to support the planning and delivery of these events and make sure they’re a success.

Play a key role on the day - lead on the set up and pack down of events and be an expert on the event logistics, on hand to support attendees, the Event Lead, and the rest of the Unifrog team.

Manage the registration desk and welcome attendees as they arrive, giving them a fantastic first impression of the event and helping them with any questions they may have.

Support with research and planning future events, including conducting initial site visits.

Support with writing and sending conversion and follow-up emails for events.

Draw on your own experiences to make sure that all our events are relevant and provide value to our different audiences.

Job summary
The Royal Society of Tropical Medicine and Hygiene (RSTMH) is a Society of over 1,700 members from 100 countries, who work in, or are interested in tropical medicine and global health.
RSTMH organises and participates in events as a crucial way of showcasing, discussing, and debating key areas of tropical medicine and global health research and practice. Our range of events are wide. We deliver conferences and webinars, social events, research meetings for early career professionals, and high-profile debates and discussions. They happen across the UK and around the world, both online and in person. Our events add to the impact of our work in tropical medicine and global health, but also raise funds to allow us to continue our work as a charity.
The Meetings and Events Manager would lead on the delivery of the RSTMH meeting and events strategy. The role requires a self-starter who is excited by the prospect of working on such a broad range of meetings and events. The candidate needs to have excellent communication and relationship building skills, and to be organised, flexible with a great attention to detail. They should be comfortable liaising with venues for meetings space, developing budgets for events, managing logistical aspects of the events programme and setting up new events online and in person.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

Assist the Assistant Director and Director, International Fundraising, with overseeing the day-to-day operations of the Fundraising Events Department

Plan, organise, manage, and attend fundraising events held by PETA and PETA entities

Exercise a lead role in overseeing aspects of PETA and PETA entity fundraising events, both in-person and virtual

Ensure that event projects remain on schedule and deadlines are met

Develop relations with event vendors and negotiate contracts and costs to ensure the best possible value

Analyse data and evaluate events in order to implement strategy to improve event effectiveness

Oversee the production of invitations, mailings, acknowledgement letters, awards, and other event-related materials

Oversee the coordination of presentation material, including the creation of scripts and PowerPoint presentations

What you will be achieving
As People Assistant, you will be supporting an established People and Culture (P&C) team to deliver an efficient and accurate P&C administration service across the Academy, ensuring that all P&C records are maintained properly. You will have some admin experience, which could be easily transferred to working in a P&C team. The People and Culture function forms part of the Directorate team. The team includes the Head of People and Culture, two People Business Partners and two People Assistants (including this role).
The wider Directorate team is responsible for supporting big annual Corporate Events. The team also supports and provides administrative support to the Chief Executive (CEO), President, Officers and Senior Leadership Team.
What you will be doing
- Supporting the People Business Partners in managing the recruitment activity. Recording diversity information after each recruitment round, ensuring it is available for annual analysis.
- Managing the new starter admin process, including conducting reference checks, induction meetings, and ensuring line managers follow the induction and probationary procedures.
- Undertaking P&C administration, including updating the HR employee database (Cezanne), P&C spreadsheets, preparing correspondence, and responding to external reference requests.
- Maintaining and updating information on the staff organogram and number of permanent/fixed-term posts on a monthly basis.
- Supporting the People Business Partner to prepare payroll administration and paperwork.
- Monitoring the sick leave and annual leave processes - escalating any potential issues to the People Business Partners and Head, as appropriate.
- Supporting the People Business Partners with any training administration, booking paperwork, and supporting training day coordination.
- Being the super user of the HR system.
- Updating any changes in the system, as and when needed.
