The Fundraising Officer will drive the growth and diversification of income for both The Police Treatment Centres and The Police Children’s Charity. The role is responsible for developing, managing, and expanding a range of fundraising channels—including third-party fundraising, grants and trusts, charity lottery and corporate sponsorship. By building strong relationships, identifying new opportunities, and delivering effective fundraising initiatives, the Fundraising Officer will play a key role in strengthening the long-term resilience and impact of both organisations.

Main responsibilities of the role:

• Support and develop relationships with individuals, community groups, and corporate partners undertaking independent fundraising activities. 
• Provide guidance, resources, and materials to ensure fundraisers are supported and aligned with brand values. 
• Monitor and evaluate third-party fundraising income and activities to maximise opportunities.

As part of a small charity team, the Fundraising Lead will play a key role in generating income to support our mission. This role covers all aspects of fundraising, with a particular focus on securing grants, engaging local businesses the community and delivering successful fundraising events. The postholder will work collaboratively to develop and implement fundraising strategies that build strong relationships and ensure sustainable income streams. 

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Grant Fundraising Research and identify suitable grant opportunities from trusts, foundations and statutory bodies. Prepare compelling funding applications and supporting documentation. Maintain accurate records of applications, deadlines and outcomes. Build and nurture relationships with funders, ensuring timely reporting and compliance. 

Community Fundraising Develop and support community fundraising initiatives, including local partnerships, volunteer-led activities and campaigns. Engage with supporters, schools and local businesses to encourage participation and donations. Provide resources and guidance for community fundraisers to maximize success. 

Events Plan, organise and deliver all types of fundraising events (both in-person and virtual), ensuring they are engaging and profitable. Manage event logistics, budgets and volunteer coordination. Promote events through appropriate channels, including social media and marketing platforms (training and support will be given) to maximise attendance and income. 

General Fundraising Duties Contribute to the overall fundraising strategy and income targets. Monitor and report on fundraising performance, providing insights and recommendations. Ensure compliance with fundraising regulations and best practice. Represent the charity at external events and networking opportunities. 

Person Specification 

Essential: Experience in fundraising, with a track record in grants, community, or events. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines. Excellent relationship-building skills. Creative and proactive approach to problem-solving. 

Desirable:

The role

As Manager of Philanthropic Giving, you will lead myaware’s trusts, foundations and high-value philanthropy fundraising, driving sustainable income growth through a strong and well-managed funding pipeline. You will shape and deliver strategies to secure both restricted and unrestricted income, manage the full bid lifecycle, and build long-term relationships with trusts, statutory funders and high-net-worth individuals.

Working closely with the CEO, senior leadership and trustees, you will develop compelling funding propositions, steward funders through excellent reporting and engagement, and represent myaware at meetings, events and networking opportunities. You will also maintain accurate records through our CRM system, track performance against targets, and contribute to income planning and reporting. This is a strategic and hands-on role with real impact for people affected by myasthenia.

The Manager of Philanthropic Giving will be predominantly home based within the UK (with occasional working and meetings at Derby HQ) and will work in co-operation with the fundraising team and all myaware colleagues to deliver agreed fundraising targets and campaigns. Own transport is essential for this role as occasional travel throughout the UK will be required to attend donor meetings, events and networking opportunities, as well as the ability to travel to the Derby office. There may be the need to occasionally work during weekends and evenings and therefore there is a need to work flexibly when required.

You will have experience securing significant gifts, building and stewarding long-term funder relationships, and writing compelling funding applications and impact reports.

Who are we?

Myaware is the only charity in the UK dedicated solely to the care and support of people affected by myasthenia. 

We are working hard to raise awareness of myasthenia, as it is a little-known condition. We provide support for people with myasthenia and their families, whilst offering advice and tips for living with the condition. 

We also fund the research that brings us closer to finding a cure as well as funding specialists nurses and advisors.

About the Role

The Events & Community Fundraising Manager is an integral part of our ambitious and forward-thinking Fundraising & Communications team.

This postholder will deliver The Connection at St Martin’s Events and Community Fundraising activity. The focus of this role is delivery of support to the fundraising team as well as administrative and financial record keeping tasks. You will be the first point of contact for individual supporters and play a key role in developing and delivering our stewardship and engagement plans. You will be involved in gathering feedback and experiences from our visitors so that we can show our impact. You will have an important role to make sure our database, record keeping and financial systems are accurate and fully up to date. You will assist the Fundraising Manager to generate financial and impact reports for use internally and externally. This is a varied role with plenty of contact with our wider staff team and supporter community and some desk-based work alongside. If you have experience in fundraising roles this would be an advantage.

Key responsibilities:

Supporter care and communication (40%)

· Act as the first point of contact for fundraising enquiries, including in person visits, ensuring a positive, personalised and friendly approach.

· Proactively and reactively thank new and existing supporters, via a variety of channels including phone, email, letter, social media and in person.

· Contribute to the development and delivery of a stewardship plan, with support from the Fundraising Manager.

· In collaboration with the Fundraising Manager and fundraising colleagues, produce materials and resources to support our stewardship of donors and supporters. This will include preparation of newsletters, social media content, marketing/fundraising materials and helping to plan and deliver supporter and participation events.

· Assist with systematic gathering and presentation of visitor feedback from a range of stakeholders including participants, group leaders, parents and teachers. This will be through face-to-face conversations, online events, surveys and through collating evidence gathered routinely by teams at Bendrigg.

Financial and database administration (30%)

· Working with the Finance Manager and Fundraising Manager, accurately process, record and reconcile donations and Gift Aid income across various platforms.

· Log donations using a combination of manual data entry, automated imports, and third-party integrations with our fundraising database.

· Confidently run internal reports to generate statistics and impact measurements for use in our accounting, projections and grant reports.

· Ensure the database is fully up-to-date and complies with data protection regulations including GDPR.

Team support (30%)

· Manage our third-party donation platforms, ensuring accurate record keeping.

· Work with the fundraising team to create and maintain our stock of fundraising materials and resources.

· Maintain Bendrigg’s website pages related to fundraising and supporter care.

· Help the Fundraising Coordinator prepare for and deliver events and other community initiatives.

· Contribute to the planning process for the team’s calendar of fundraising appeals and activities.

· Provide support to the onsite Income & Engagement Team providing a 'reception' service including answering the door, greeting and signposting visitors, accepting deliveries, answering the main office phone and directing calls.

This role is home-based with mobile working. Your home base needs to be in Wales (or close to the border - e.g. in Chester) as on a weekly basis you can expect to work across Wales to meet with supporters face to face approximately 2 to 3 days a week. As such, you must have a full UK driving licence and have access to a vehicle or the ability to travel frequently across the region. 

There will be a requirement to attend in-person team meetings based in the area on a quarterly basis and other parts of the UK when our wider fundraising territory and department get together. 

There will also be a requirement for flexible and out of hours working to support occasional evening and weekend activity and you will be compensated for this with time off in lieu.

The new post of Senior Digital Fundraising Officer is an essential role, delivering digital campaigns to engage new supporters and acquire new members and donors, ultimately ensuring LCC’s campaigning continues to be impactful and effective for years to come.

You’ll bring strong experience gained in a similar role for a charity, campaigning organisation or membership body; and you’ll demonstrate past success in generating income through digital advertising and email marketing. A fantastic communicator, you’ll translate LCC’s work into compelling cases for support, building a year-round programme of multi-channel fundraising and member acquisition campaigns.

Acting as the organisation’s ‘digital lead’, you’ll help ensure our digital communications, systems and processes continuously evolve and improve in line with emerging trends and best practice. And you’ll play a key role in strengthening our approach to digital marketing, providing advice and support across the staff team to embed digital thinking in priority projects.

As we launch a new growth strategy and invest in our digital fundraising capacity this is an exciting role and an exciting time to join LCC. You’ll be a linchpin in a small, talented, friendly team; working on a cause where the impact of your work is quickly visible.

To be successful you will need:

• Minimum of five years’ experience working in a similar digital fundraising or marketing role(s) for other charities, membership organisations, or agencies.
• High level of proficiency working with Facebook Ads Manager, including strong experience using the platform to deliver fundraising and supporter acquisition campaigns.
• Strong experience using email marketing platforms to build supporter journeys and run email fundraising campaigns or appeals.

It would also be beneficial to have:

• Knowledge of Google Ads, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics.
• Experience articulating compelling cases for support.
• Experience running multi-channel digital advertising / fundraising campaigns.
• Good understanding of paid search/display advertising.
• Experience using CRM systems to run reports, analyse campaign effectiveness, and segment audiences.
• Experience using content management systems such as WordPress and Drupal.
• Experience commissioning creative suppliers such as graphic designers, illustrators, animators, filmmakers. 

We’re creating an exciting new fundraising role at QCCA for an experienced, motivated fundraiser who wants to make a visible, immediate impact in the community.

This is a flexible, newly created position that could suit either a Generalist Fundraiser or a Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser, depending on your strengths and interests.

As a Generalist Fundraiser, you’ll help strengthen and diversify our income across trusts and foundations, individual giving, community fundraising, events, and supporter stewardship. Experience in small to medium-sized charities is particularly valuable, as you’ll play a hands-on role in shaping and growing our fundraising approach.

Alternatively, as a Corporate Partnerships Fundraiser, you’ll have the opportunity to build and grow a corporate programme from strong early foundations. This includes developing long-term partnerships, converting corporate interest into meaningful support, and working with businesses keen to deliver social value through volunteering and collaboration.

It is a really exciting time to join Thames Hospice as we embark on a transformational new Major Gifts strategy to significantly grow our fundraising income. This role offers you the chance to play a central part in shaping our future while developing your career in a supportive and ambitious environment.

We are seeking an experienced Philanthropy Manager to lead the strategic and operational direction of our Major Gifts programme, securing significant one‑off and multi‑year gifts to support Thames Hospice. The ideal candidate will have demonstrable experience in philanthropy fundraising, exceptional relationship‑building skills, and proven ability to identify and leverage opportunities to grow income.

You will use your expertise in cultivating and stewarding high‑net‑worth individuals to expand our donor portfolio, while managing and developing the Philanthropy Executive and driving the team’s strategy. Working closely with the Head of Major Gifts, you will lead the delivery of our philanthropy strategy, ensuring ambitious income targets are met. With outstanding communication and stewardship, you will deepen donor engagement and secure transformational, long‑term support that sustains our mission of delivering exceptional palliative care to the community.
