As a Senior Philanthropy Manager you will cultivate and collect five and six figure gifts from high-net-worth individuals and trusts and foundations, equating to £650k and £500k respectively in 2024/25.

You will also oversee our Arts Council England Funding of c.£1m p.a., and our lower level Legend individual donors at c.£50k p.a.

You will lead and inspire others in order to achieve success as a team. This includes overseeing a programme that delivers a high level of customer service to supporters through cultivation and stewardship events, and communications, and grows income through considered approaches and high quality applications.

In order to be successful, you must have experienced :

• Proven success of securing five and six figure gifts from major donors and managing their relationships
• Proven success of securing significant funds from Trusts & Foundations and managing their relationships
• Demonstrable experience of developing and growing a pipeline and managing relationships from cultivation to solicitation and stewardship
• Proven success of identifying, recruiting, and managing Senior Volunteers
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, evidenced by close, successful relationships with donors, board members, VIPs, stakeholders and senior volunteers
• Strong and effective written skills evidenced in compelling and successful proposals and impact reports, and communications with donors
• Experience of developing and implementing Philanthropy strategies
• Experience of team management
• A good understanding of charity legislation and GDPR in relation to philanthropy fundraising
• Strong leaderships skills with the ability to inspire others

The Role

We are recruiting a Stories Manager to develop and drive our strategy to put the stories of our volunteers, callers and fundraisers at the front of our communications and fundraising work. 

This role is an exciting opportunity for a candidate experienced in working with case studies and storytellers who can efficiently manage a range of different stories sensitively and with confidence. If successful, you will lead the Samaritans case study function, support the organisation with its handling of real life stories and manage the relevant systems and processes.

The Preclinical Research Manager will be responsible for overseeing the generation of research related content for the CP research team and interacting with the research community to provide support and advice in their projects. 

The Main Purpose of the Role:

The Preclinical Research Manager will be responsible for overseeing the generation of research related content for the CP research team and interacting with the research community to provide support and advice in their projects (either being considered or funded by the charity).

Key Responsibilities:

• Working closely with the Director of Research whose main responsibility is the implementation and delivery of the Cure Parkinson’s research strategy.
• Generating Parkinson’s research-related material for a scientific audience, including:
  • Research reports for publication in scientific journals (such as our annual Drug Development Pipeline report – McFarthing et al, 2023).
  • Long format scientific justifications for CP funded clinical trials for the CP website.
  • Short format lay summaries of new research (with the Research Liaison and Research Communication Officers) for various CP platforms.
  • Preparation of posters of CP research for presentation at conferences (with the Research Comms Officer).
  • Facilitating the Research Liaison Officer’s development within this area.
• Regular monitoring of publications and developments in Parkinson’s research, communicating these topics internally to help generate relevant material for the CP website (with the Research Comms Officer and Marketing team).
• Supporting the Director of Research with the scoping, drafting and shaping of drug dossiers for consideration at the annual international Linked Clinical Trials (iLCT) meeting.
• Working with the Director of Research and the Research Manager to develop and coordinate the annual iLCT Pipeline Research Acceleration Funding Programme call.
• Working with the Director of Research and the Research Manager to scope and develop a researcher portal for sharing non-confidential iLCT material.
• Leading on the development of scientific events, workshops and meetings (such as CP’s quarterly webinar series with the Journal of Parkinson’s Disease).

Person Specifications:

The successful applicant will need to work closely with other sections of the charity to understand and support the research needs of the organisation as a whole. For their primary function, they will ideally have:

• A PhD with experience in preclinical research related to Parkinson’s or neurodegeneration.
• A strong understanding of Parkinson’s disease biology and the current preclinical models (in vitro and in vivo) used to investigate it.
• Knowledge of the broader Parkinson’s research field, such as genetics, potential therapeutic targets and drugs currently in development.
• Significant experience in the management and leadership of group projects.
• Experience in the setting up and management of meeting and events.
• Excellent communication skills with experience in presenting at both academic meetings and to general audiences, across in-person and virtual formats.
• Solid problem solving skills across varied settings.
• Experience of line management or equivalent.
• High motivation and willingness to embrace change.
• Willingness to travel overnight for some external meetings, occasionally internationally.

At Ham & Petersham SOS, we are devoted to improving the lives of older and disabled people in Ham & Petersham, Richmond upon Thames. We are seeking a Manager, to work part-time with flexible hours, to help us create joy, support, and companionship for those we serve. 

As a self-starter, you will have excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, as well as good IT skills including website management. This will enable you to manage all aspects of running our charity, aided by a small support staff. You will lead a compassionate team of volunteers, drive impactful programmes, and foster a sense of community. You will be responsible for grant applications and fund-raising to sustain and develop the work of H&PSOS. You will be supported by an active and engaged Board of Trustees.

We are looking for a Corporate Partnerships Manager to join the National Theatre Development Team.

The purpose of the role

The Corporate Partnerships Manager is responsible for delivering, renewing and evolving new and existing high-value, long-term corporate partnerships. They will work with the Senior Corporate Account Manager to support the team in delivering best-in-class account management. The Corporate Partnerships Manager will also support with new business and revenue generation through securing additional income.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing a variety of corporate accounts and have a good understanding of the partnerships landscape and stakeholder management. The candidate will be a creative problem solver, with exemplary relationship building and customer service skills. The role will be focussed on both account management and new business. The candidate will have an ambitious approach to generating revenue through income growth opportunities and new business both with existing accounts and new prospects for the National Theatre.

The successful candidate will have the following: 

• Proven track record of securing income and managing partnerships/sponsorships, possibly gained within a target driven environment.

• Experience of negotiating bespoke partnership deals and benefit packages and composing commercial participator agreements or similar legal contracts.

• Demonstrable experience of managing stakeholder relationships, preferably with c-suite involvement

• Ability to effectively chair and manage external partner meetings, taking a confident and proactive approach whilst also being responsive and accountable for meeting outcomes

• Commercial awareness with knowledge of various corporate sectors
