Our award winning fundraising division is currently looking for an Engagement and Stewardship Executive to join our Partnership and Philanthropy team in this newly created role for the charity.

With ambitious plans to grow our fundraising income above £60m in the next 5 years we are expanding our fundraising team. The role sits within the newly created Operations Team ensuring Age UK's donor facing Partnerships and Philanthropy Team are provided with the highest quality donor research, engagement and stewardship materials required to create transformative partnerships with businesses, high net worth individuals, trusts and foundations.

In this newly created position we require a collaborative individual who can support our Senior Operations Manager deliver our stewardship strategy focused on inspiring, thanking and retaining our major donors, corporate partners and grant funders by creating engaging communications and activities.

This role offers hybrid working between home and London (EC3N 2LB). Our fundraising division attend the London office once a week on Thursday's.

Must haves:

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with experience of producing high quality written materials that are tailored to the needs of specific internal or external audiences.
* Ability to prioritise, manage conflicting deadlines, work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks to deadline.

Additional Information

* This role is not a donor-facing role but sits within the newly created Partnerships and Philanthropy Operations team that provides the back-of-house systems, processes, content and support to enable donor-facing colleagues to operate efficiently and effectively.

* We ask all members of Age UK's Partnerships and Philanthropy department to work from our London hub near Tower Hill at least once a week to enable collaboration, skills development and team dynamics (currently Thursdays). From time to time, we may also require the successful candidate to come into our London hub for face-to-face meetings at other times in the week: as per the terms of our hybrid contracts we aim to give seven days' notice when this happens.

* This role may on occasions require travel outside of London and working outside of normal office hours e.g. for funder events and cultivation activities.

Purpose of Job

· To coach, lead and manage a team of volunteers

· Drive sales performance to exceed targets, maximising cost efficiency

· To achieve gift aid income objectives, donor sign up and conversion. Improving processes to deliver maximum value, coaching colleagues to success

Sales and Profit

· Monitor and be accountable for sales and category performance, as well as ensure that the team are aware of and engaged in the shop’s financial performance

Shop Floor

· Ensure sourcing sufficient levels of donated stock locally in collaboration with the shop team

· Establish efficient and commercially successful stock processing systems (such as pricing, quality standards, consumer safety, stock density and culling stock), including backroom systems and ensure these are adhered to by the volunteer team. Ensure that all legal and Vision Foundation internal regulations regarding donated stock are adhered to

· Inspire the team to provide a great customer and donor experience, which enables The Vision Foundation to attract new supporters every day. Ensure that feedback, including complaints are escalated to the Area Manager within the agreed timeframes

About the role

Are you an experienced corporate fundraiser with an interest in working in the international development sector? Are you creative, strategic, highly organised, a confident and effective communicator and strong team player? 

We are looking for an experienced Senior Corporate Fundraising Manager to work closely with the Head of Programme Funding to drive new donor engagement and secure sustainable, multi-year funding. If you are seeking a dynamic and engaging fundraising role which offers you the chance to play a pivotal role within a small but ambitious organisation, then this could be the job for you.

You will be an exemplary relationship builder and have experience in developing multi-faceted corporate partnerships (ideally with experience and success in employee engagement, corporate sponsorship, and/or operational partnerships).

The role also line manages the Senior Fundraising Officer post, a position that provides administrative and fundraising support across the whole fundraising team.  Please note that we are a small team and so you’ll need to be comfortable rolling up your sleeves to help out team members and to support new business across other restricted income streams. 

If you think you have the skills, qualities and drive to fulfil this role, but don’t meet all of the specifications, or perhaps you’ve gained your experience in (for example) commercial sales or within relationships management and are looking to move into development work, we would still welcome hearing from you. As an experienced Account Manager, you will be able to spot opportunities across all of Hospice UK’s work to maximise these partnerships, whether that’s adding strategic value to our fundraising with Aspire Pharma, diversifying our work with Co-op Bank, supporting our longest partnership with the National Garden Scheme, helping Dignity Funerals to grow our Dying Matters Community Grants programme, or helping to launch our new partnership with People’s Postcode Lottery. You will be responsible for a portfolio of corporate partnerships to the value of £1.2m.

The Role:

Hospice UK has an exciting new fundraising strategy with a focus on digital fundraising and supporter journeys. We are looking to significantly increase our engagement with new and existing supporters across all areas of fundraising. The Digital Fundraising and Engagement Executive will lead on recruitment and stewardship for a number of third-party challenge events as well as supporting on the optimisation of integrated digital campaigns and donor journeys.

The Team:

The Events and Supporter Engagement team forms part of the wider Income Generation and Grants Directorate. The team’s focus is on raising funds from individuals through challenge and special events, digital fundraising, giving in memory, legacy giving, regular and payroll giving and one off donations.

The team is made up of 5 people (including this role), who work closely together to help achieve our goals. The wider Income Generation and Grants team consists of 20 people in total. We meet regularly through team meetings and coming together in the office on a Tuesday, which helps to create a supportive working environment.

Finance

· Code and process purchase invoices, staff expenses and obtain authorisation of expenditure as per financial procedures manual.

This is a newly created role working within our Fundraising & Communication Dept.

Role summary

Working within our fundraising and communications team, you will support the management of our communications portfolio of work. Maintaining our consistent brand, you will lead on digital and print asset development. You will lead on supporter communications, assisting the rest of the team to raise the profile and bring new supporters into the organisation. We are looking to recruit a Head of Member Acquisition and Engagement on a part-time contract. Our mission is to bring hope and positive change to children and families.  To achieve this we deliver a range of services.  The Catholic Children’s Society (CCS) is one of the largest providers of mental health services to schools in London and the Southeast.  Currently we have over 50 counsellors/therapists working on-site in approximately 70 schools (both Catholic and non-Catholic).  We also provide outstanding early years education and family support, including offering emergency assistance for families in crisis.

What we are looking for

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to spearhead the growth of our successful services, ensuring more children and families can access the support they need.

This role will include a key focus on developing an effective marketing strategy to increase the number of schools accessing our early intervention mental health services.  At a time when school budgets are under considerable pressure, the ideal candidate will be positive, proactive and results driven.  They will be passionate about children’s mental health and education, as well as articulate and persuasive when presenting the case for why our services are needed now more than ever.

The postholder will thrive on achieving challenging targets and will lead on enhancing our profile across a range of media platforms.  A strong marketing and/or sales background will therefore be important, together with a proven track record of successfully driving forward strong business growth (gained in the voluntary, public or private sectors). 

The ideal candidate will be adept at working at both a strategic and operational level and will be happy to be ‘hands on’ and flexible to succeed in this varied and rewarding role.

Location: Lovely office at 73 St Charles Square, London. W10 6EJ (private off-street parking is available for staff). Hybrid working option are available, with the expectation staff attend the office at least two or three days per week.
