Description
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Head of Fundraising to lead and further develop our fundraising activity at a pivotal time for the Cathedral. This is a strategic and hands on role, working closely with the Chief Operating Officer and Senior Management Team to secure the resources needed to sustain and grow the Cathedral’s mission, ministry and buildings.
You will take the lead on generating fundraising income, primarily through trusts and foundations, while also developing appeals, legacy giving, regular giving and new fundraising income streams. You will build on the strong foundations already in place, bringing creativity, rigour and collaboration to everything you do.
The role
As Head of Fundraising, you will:
Lead relationships with trusts and foundations, identifying opportunities, writing compelling applications and managing reporting and compliance
Drive major fundraising bids to support the Cathedral’s Estates Masterplan and strategic priorities
Develop and deliver fundraising appeals and pilot new initiatives to diversify income
Grow legacy and regular giving, building a sustainable pipeline of long-term supporters
Lead supporter care, engagement and fundraising events
Oversee fundraising communications and profile raising activity
Work collaboratively across the Cathedral to develop fundable projects and shared ownership of fundraising
Manage the fundraising budget and report progress to the Senior Management Team and Finance Committee
Act as Line Manager for the Development Officer
This role combines strategic thinking with practical delivery and will suit someone who enjoys working in a small, committed team where no two days are the same.

About Chorlton Good Neighbours
Chorlton Good Neighbours is a small, well-loved neighbourhood charity with roots back to the late 1960s, working to reduce loneliness and support older people across Chorlton and adjacent neighbourhoods. Our work is local, practical and volunteer-led: befriending, home visits, transport, weekly activities, monthly teas, intergenerational groups and occasional day trips are all delivered with warmth and care.
Our volunteer base is extraordinary - around 100 volunteers support drivers, befrienders, activity leads, admin roles and trustees - and in 2024–25 we supported 474 people in total. As our next Manager (Chief Executive), you will:

We operate a flexible, trust based working model that gives colleagues autonomy over how, when and where they work, while recognising the value of in person collaboration. About NUMbrella Lane: NUMbrella Lane (NBL) is one of few sex worker-led services in Scotland. It has been operating since 2022 after National Ugly Mugs (NUM) took over aspects of the programming from the charity that ran Umbrella Lane. Since then, the project has evolved to provide in-person health and wellbeing support to Scotland-based sex workers and host events and outings within the community with a focus on community connectivity, reducing isolation and addressing root causes of interpersonal and intersectional violence.
Role Summary: The main purpose of the Vocational Support Delivery and Development Assistant is to provide trauma-informed, non-judgemental vocational support to sex workers in Scotland. Base & logistics: Activities are delivered UK-wide via a digital platform, remote services, and in-person hubs. NUM delivers its services UK-wide through a combination of digital resources, remote services and in-person hubs, including NUMbrella Lane in Glasgow. Staff work on a hybrid basis, with the balance of home and location based working based on business needs .This role is primarily in person at our Glasgow venue, with occasional travel possible for meetings, events, and outreach. We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Head of Finance to join our Strategic Leadership Team (SLT). This is a key leadership role with responsibility for the overall financial management of the Charity and the effective leadership of the Finance team.
The successful candidate will play a central role in shaping the financial sustainability and strategic direction of Catholic Care, ensuring that our Finances are managed effectively to support our mission and values.
Key Responsibilities
About You
We are looking for a motivated and values-driven finance professional who brings:
· A recognised accountancy qualification (e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent)
· Significant experience in a senior finance leadership role (or someone looking to take the next step)
· Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills
· Experience of managing and developing teams
· Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities
· A commitment to the mission, values and ethos of Catholic Care
Experience within the charity or social care sector is desirable but not essential.

We are seeking an exceptional candidate for the role of Head of Corporate Services to join our Strategic Leadership Team (SLT). This is a key leadership role with responsibility for leading and managing all corporate support functions across the Charity.
The successful candidate will play a central role in ensuring the organisation operates efficiently, remains compliant with all regulatory requirements and is well-positioned to deliver its strategic objectives. This is a hands-on role, where most operational tasks (excluding HR) are undertaken directly by the post-holder.
