Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

Responsible for:

• Financial oversight and leadership.
• Providing robust financial information to inform and improve operational management and decision making to further the charities’ objectives.
• Ensuring financial sustainability of the charity and facilitate growth and development to further charitable aims.
• Ensuring appropriate financial probity and controls in place.
• Financial planning including budgeting and forecasting.
• Financial reporting including monthly management accounts so that Directors and Trustees understand the financial health of the organisation.

• Oversight and continuous improvement of IT (and data) systems (with support from out-sourced IT support) to ensure efficient and effective workflow across the organisation.
• As business manager, lead on risk management and KPI dashboard reporting to trustees and Finance Sub Committee.

Qualifications

• Qualified accountant (CCAB/CIMA/ACCA) (essential)

Experience

• At least 5 years’ experience as an accountant (essential)

The Partnerships Manager will manage a portfolio of commercial and fundraising accounts totalling c.£250k, as well as some new business development. Operations Director & Community Minister – Oasis Hub Waterloo

The Pituitary Foundation is the UK’s leading charity providing support and information for people living with pituitary conditions, their families, friends and carers. The LSO is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Corporate Partnerships Executive (New Business) to lead on identifying and engaging with a new portfolio of prospective corporate supporters, in liaison with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager. 

The successful candidate will work closely with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager and Director of Development to develop new sponsorship opportunities, taking into account current corporate priorities and sector trends. This is an exciting time to join the team, as we develop our engagement opportunities and memberships to ensure they remain current and attractive in the new climate.

This role is initially on a fixed-term contract basis for 12 months, with the potential to extend.

Key Responsibilities:

Identifying and engaging a new portfolio of prospective corporate supporters
 

• Research and identify possible corporate partners for the LSO, preparing updates to discuss with the wider LSO Corporate Development team 
• Lead on initial contact with cold prospects, securing introductory meetings for the LSO, preparing briefings and attending meetings with a colleague from the Development team

• Work with the Senior Corporate Partnerships Manager to develop new opportunities for support, and build a strong prospect pipeline, taking into account current sponsorship and corporate support trends 
• Keep abreast of trends in corporate partnerships in the arts and the broader charity sector to ensure the LSO continues to offer competitive packages

This is a new permanent role on our Senior Leadership Team, reporting to the CEO and specifically designed to deliver against the next phase of Waterwise’s journey – increasing our reach and impact on water efficiency both within and beyond the water sector. You’ll be leading and broadening our commercial offer, helping us drive even greater impact in water efficiency, and the income to support it, across the UK. You’ll refine our proposition and pricing of existing services, seeking opportunities to cross-sell additional services to existing audiences, as well as broadening our reach, engaging with completely new audiences and developing and shaping new commercial services aligned to new customer needs. An opportunity has arisen to join Phyllis Tuckwell Hospice as our new Director of Income Generation.  Reporting to the Chief Executive you will lead a dynamic and committed team to achieve ambitious income generation targets.  You will sustain and further develop a balanced, and diverse income generation portfolio, focusing on maximising income and growing enduring relationships with supporters and customers across our region.

This is an exciting time to join Phyllis Tuckwell with the successful candidate having the opportunity to plan and implement the final stage of our £6 million appeal to build a new hospice.

The Finance, Procurement, Strategic Planning and Analytics directorate, led by the Chief Financial Officer / VP (Finance), comprises c.150 roles located across our campuses in central London.  The Finance department of c.100 roles provides various accounting, assurance, advisory, decision support and financial processing functions for the whole university.

The Director of Finance Business Partnering (Operations) is a critical role within the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance division that will lead, develop and deliver high quality finance business partnering and decision support to all the central services of the university, including providing financial planning, reporting and insight across revenue and capital funded activity. 

You will support the senior Director of the Financial Strategy, Planning & Performance function in development and improvement projects. Examples include the development of a professional competencies framework to support career progression and performance at all levels, supported by learning and development opportunities, improving key processes, resource allocation and financial planning methodologies, and reporting on financial performance.

As part of the function’s senior management team, this role will lead a team of finance business partners who will provide outstanding partnering services to our central services including large functions such as Estates and Facilities, IT, Students & Education, Research Management and on other crucial ‘head office’ activities. Working closely with the corporate reporting team on the provision of management accounts, you will lead on financial performance support in-year and across our three-year financial planning framework. You will also undertake and provide professional support to your team on business partnering skills, financial modelling, business case development and financial appraisals. You will play a wider role as a senior member of the finance leadership team on cross-college initiatives and be asked to deputise for the senior Director of the division or their peers.

It is an exciting time to join the university as we are making a step change in our support and advice, particularly to directorate heads and our Senior Vice Principal (Operations), and onwards through the leadership roles across the central service directorates where financial and operational decisions are made.

This is a full time post (36 Hours per week), and you will be offered an indefinite contract. We work in a hybrid way and there is an expectation of being able to work at least three days a week in our offices to help facilitate a collaborative working culture.
