You will join as a Trainee Energy Caseworker for the first 5 months, becoming an Energy Caseworker on successful completion of probation. This is a fixed-term post for 12 months, with full training provided, including City & Guilds Energy Awareness training, and ongoing support from a casework mentor and supervisor.

  • Travel across Bristol, B&NES and North Somerset to give advice to people in their own homes, coordinate partner activity, and deliver events, talks and presentations.
  • Communicate effectively with energy suppliers on behalf of clients, including investigating billing and metering issues, negotiating repayment plans and raising complaints.
  • Provide administrative support to the delivery of projects and maintain accurate, detailed records of all client interactions.
  • Remain vigilant for safeguarding concerns during client interactions and report promptly to the designated Safeguarding Officer.
  • Work alongside and support CSE volunteers.
  • Work closely with WHAM partners to offer support to clients.
  • Adhere to CSE’s data recording protocols and procedures and maintain appropriate client confidentiality at all times.
