The role is a remote, work from home position, however the post holder will be required to work flexibly as there will be occasional travel to attend face to face meetings with colleagues within the UK.

Job Purpose

To provide administrative support to the team and maintain the Trust’s general administrative activities, with dedicated support to the Fundraising and Partnerships Manager.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

1) Assisting with updating and maintaining governance documents such as policies and procedures.

2) Scheduling meetings and coordinating calendars for members of the team when needed.

3) Monitoring the Trust’s shared mailbox email accounts: responding to requests from members of the public.

4) Dealing with incoming and outgoing correspondence.

5) Arranging travel and accommodation for team members, trustees and consultants when required.

6) Support the CEO with administration where required.

7) Support the Administration and Finance Manager with finance administration where required.

8) Maintaining fundraising and communication databases: Salesforce and Mailchimp.

9) Maintaining fundraising platforms such as Enthuse, JustGiving, Donr, Much Loved, Give and Gain etc.

10)  Supporting projects for fundraising and awareness campaigns or events.

11) Responding to fundraising enquiries and assisting with regular giving communications.

12)  Thanking donors (when appropriate) and supporting the donor journey.

13)  Ensuring supporter data is current and accurate on our CRM system (Salesforce).

14)  Gathering data and generating reports from Salesforce to support the Fundraising and Partnership Manager.

15)  Processing book orders and arranging shipment.

16)  Supporting the team with various internal audits.

17)  Supporting the Fundraising and Partnership Manager with admin relating to all aspects of fundraising.

Personal Development

1) Undertake training as required or considered appropriate for the role.

2) Actively participate in regular supervision sessions and team meetings.

3) Participate in Individual Performance Review and Personal Development plans, and undertake training and development as identified within these discussions and as indicated by the requirements of the post.

6) The post requires flexible working, which may include some evening and weekend work on occasion, with time off in lieu.

Role Terms

· The position is part time.

· Holiday allowance is 25 days plus bank holidays pro rata, increasing in line with service annually to a maximum of 30 days pro rata, plus bank holidays.

· Probation period is 6 months.

About the Council

The role of Council is to lead on the GOC’s mission to protect the public by upholding high standards in eye care services.  The Council is composed of six lay members (including the Chair) and six registrant members (i.e. registered optometrists and dispensing opticians).  At least one member of the Council must work wholly or mainly in each of England, Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales.  One Council member acts as a Senior Council Member whose role is to carry out the Chair’s appraisal as well as provide a sounding board for the Chair and serve as an intermediary for Council members, Executive and stakeholders as necessary. 

The successful candidate will contribute to Council by exercising oversight, ensuring effective corporate governance, and making high-level policy decisions. They will be able to operate strategically and impartially; listen, communicate, and influence effectively; exercise judgment; and inspire confidence and support amongst our stakeholders. 

Remuneration and time commitment

Council members are remunerated in accordance with our member fees policy (£13,962 per annum plus reasonable travel and subsistence expenses).  The member fee includes time for reading and preparation.

The appointed member will be expected to commit approximately 2-3 days per month.  Meetings will usually take place via MS Teams but may on occasion be held at the GOC Offices at Level 29, One Canada Square, London, E14 5AA. There are occasional online catch-up meetings - these are currently scheduled on a Tuesday evening every 6-8 weeks, from 5.30pm – 6.30pm.

About The Role

Working closely with the Program Director, the Program Manager adapts and manages the Europe Regional Finance program to ensure the program team delivers on its objectives and goals. The role requires high-level coordination and support to a team working across Europe, leading campaign planning and evaluation processes, grant management, while coordinating the program's budgeting and re-forecasting. 

The Program Manager ensures the effectiveness of the Europe Regional Finance Program by managing and coordinating its various projects, overseeing budgets and grant cycles, implementing team effectiveness initiatives, and supporting the development and execution of program planning, monitoring and evaluation processes.

We support networks of organisations to work together to achieve outcomes that would not be possible by individual organisations acting alone. We expect all roles at Sunrise to actively support the capacity building of these networks and partner organisations. 

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the Program Director to develop and implement robust planning, monitoring, and evaluation processes and foster a culture that recognises the importance of failure and learning in the pursuit of greater impact, identifying ways of measuring impact and success.
• Manage a multi-million dollar campaign budget, including tracking spending to stay on budget, reporting on our spending to donors and internal audiences, and advising on a partner grants plan and resourcing plan.
• Manage the entire program’s grant portfolio, ensuring efficient management and processing of grants to support program delivery. This includes providing guidance to team members on grant processes, tracking and monitoring grant payments, authoring and reviewing grant dockets and memos as appropriate, working with other program teams on grants as needed, and ensuring timely follow-up and feedback with partners. 
• Oversee program’s contracts, including the hiring and onboarding of necessary new agency partnerships, contracts, and temp employees, and tracking and monitoring contract payments.
• Foster a collaborative, supportive team environment that values continuous learning and professional growth to maximize program effectiveness, including proactively supporting the professional development of individual team members and line management as appropriate for the program structure.
• Lead programmatic oversight of risk, security, and compliance as appropriate for the program and in coordination with TSP’s operations team

• Lead in developing program-specific onboarding systems and materials for new staff and contractors that build on Sunrise-wide onboarding processes.

The AI Opportunity Fund:

The AI Opportunity Fund, led by the Centre for Public Impact with support from Google . org, is currently a  €16 million initiative aimed at empowering underserved workers across Europe with essential AI skills. The programme has selected 73 organisations from hundreds of applications to provide tailored AI training to at least 20,000 workers across 24 European countries. These organisations focus on diverse communities, including rural job seekers, underemployed women, and public sector workers, aiming to bridge the digital divide and promote economic resilience. The initiative underscores AI's potential to drive social mobility and equitable growth across the continent. We are also hoping to scale our work in this area in the future. 

Position Overview: 

We are seeking an experienced Grants Programme Manager to ensure the successful delivery of the AI Opportunity Fund. This role is responsible for the operational leadership of the programme, ensuring that it is planned and executed effectively on time, on budget and within scope. A key focus of the role is ensuring that the grant-giving component of the programme is designed and stewarded diligently.

This is a middle management role that is primarily operational with some elements of strategic leadership. It requires strong project management skills, good grant-making practice and the ability to manage relationships with diverse partners.  We’re looking for someone who is comfortable working with considerable scope and complexity; and who embraces the challenges and opportunities of a startup environment where learning, adaptability, and building the plane as we fly it are central!

Responsibilities and Competencies:

Programme Development and Delivery

• Lead on shaping the design and execution of the AI Opportunity Fund utilising appropriate project management frameworks.

• Coordinate high quality project deliverables including implementing an AI training programme at scale and convening peer learning and knowledge sharing workshops. 

• Collaborate closely with Finance and Senior Leadership to manage and monitor the programme budget and expenditure.

• Identify, escalate and contribute to addressing programmatic risks to ensure compliance with legal, regulatory and donor requirements.

Grant Making and Management

• Lead the design and implementation of the AI Opportunity Fund grant making function, embedding good grant making practice whilst adhering to donor expectations. 

• Develop and implement robust grant-making systems, processes and structures to successfully execute each stage of the grant lifecycle. 

• Provide excellent stewardship of a large portfolio of grants, providing technical support and effectively managing escalated issues to ensure the programme achieves its strategic objectives.

• Build the capacity of the wider AI Opportunity Fund team in grant making skills and capabilities. 

• Manage and coach the Grants Officer, ensuring they deliver their grants administration responsibilities effectively. 

Partnerships and Stakeholder Management

• Provide excellent donor stewardship of Google . org, securing their confidence in CPIE as a thought and delivery partner. 

• Cultivate, maintain and oversee strong relationships with wider stakeholders on the programme including service providers and evaluation partners.

• Support senior leadership to position the programme strategically internally and externally in order to advance CPIE’s reputation and offer. 

Monitoring, Evaluation  and Learning

• Ensure that CPIE prepares and submits accurate, timely and high quality programme and grant reports to Google, CPI’s Board and other key audiences.

• Collaborate closely with the Communications Team, Senior Leadership and external providers to ensure robust impact measurement of the AI Opportunity Fund.

• Identify and leverage opportunities to share insights from the AI Opportunity Fund to a range of stakeholders including broader CPI teams, wider civil society and current and potential clients.

• Embed a culture of learning and reflexivity in the team, utilising insights from the Programme to shape project management in an iterative way. 

 DEIB & Collaborative Working

• Actively contribute to a diverse, equitable, inclusive and belonging (DEIB) culture by embracing different perspectives and fostering an environment of respect.

• Dedicate time to continuous learning about DEIB and how it informs our mission, and commit to disrupting white supremacy in the workplace.

• Demonstrate empathy for government and the communities they serve to advance DEIB within systems that government influences

• Embed DEIB within the AI Opportunity Fund design approach and team.

About the role:

This role is home based and therefore requires an appropriately confidential home space in which to work.

As an IDVA you will:

• Identify and assess the risks and needs of domestic abuse victims using an evidence-based risk identification checklist.
• Focus on and prioritise high risk cases and provide a proactive, short to medium term crisis intervention service. Deliver individually appropriate tailored support and information, advocacy, and practical support.

About the Role:

You will provide high quality support to all victims and witnesses of crime and Anti-Social Behaviour, leading on completing initial impact and risk assessments that are comprehensive and holistic. You will also provide cover for the local VS Helpline.

Key Responsibilities:

• Act as the first point of contact for service users referred in to the service, completing comprehensive impact and risks assessments using agreed processes and a tailoring the response to each individual's needs.

About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for an inspirational leader to join us on a permanent basis. You will be based in our head office in Leigh Woods, Abbots Leigh with ample free parking and a mixture of home and office working available.  

As part of our senior management team you will:

· support the implementation of our new business strategy

· be able to develop strong relationships, both internally and externally with our

stakeholders, to understand and maximise current business and develop new business opportunities.

· provide line management and support to our service managers.

· lead on quality improvements and innovation throughout the organisation

There are a number of exciting projects in the pipeline where you would have the opportunity to take the lead and improve outcomes for the people we support.

The ideal candidate will have experience in the care sector, be able to thrive in challenging environments, and hold a management qualification (or willing to undertake the training).  Knowledge of current care regulations and legislation is a requirement for this position.

About Us

Freeways is a charity which has been in operation since 1987 and employs approximately 300 staff. We run a number of residential (care) homes, supported living flats and community support across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset supporting adults with learning disabilities.  Our Head office in Abbotts Leigh is co-located with a day centre and hydrotherapy pool.  The aim of our services is to support people to become as independent as possible by helping them make choices, learn new skills and make links with their local community.
