Role Requirements

 As part of the site services team the role holder will be expected to liaise with managers and staff across the Trust. The role holder is expected to work closely with the other members of the facilities team and assist in covering in the laundry, in the deep clean team or other works as and when required.

You will be a natural and enthusiastic housekeeper working not only as part of a team but also individually. You will be health and safety aware, take ownership of your own work, and be understanding of the children’s needs here at The Children’s Trust. Good organisational skills, flexibility and being friendly and caring in nature are a must for this role. Please note that the role requires a significant degree of manual handling and working with houses services and laundry equipment.

With experience of working in a complex environment, across a large and diverse workforce, you will be exceptionally organised with a high-level of attention to detail. Responsibilities of the role

Co-ordinator – 70%

Day-to-day support across the charity including, but not limited to:

• Providing personal assistant support to the Director of the charity

• Support wider team with meeting bookings, arranging travel, charity guests, booking rooms etc.

• Support internal communications, ensuring good information dissemination and management.

• Improve internal onboarding processes, hold ownership over key GMSN starter assets (e.g. Organigram, joiners handbook)

• Look after shared email inboxes, ensuring all queries have an appropriate response in a timely manner.

• Support the team with basic finance reporting and updating trackers, including setting up and maintenance of a variety of fundraising platforms.

• Posting out materials and prizes, and hold ownership over the organisation of stock and materials in the storeroom.

• Liaising with charity supporters via email, phone and at Global, including the support line.

• Provide cover to the Finance and Grants Assistant in periods of absence (training will be provided)

• Support with fundraising and events teams in busy periods.

• Complete any ad-hoc tasks, as required.

Governance – 30%

• Co-ordinate diary entries for quarterly Trustee and Finance Committee meetings, prepare Board packs, attend meetings, take minutes and ensure minutes are distributed in a timely fashion.

• Ensure all Trustees are stewarded, inducted and supported in their role with the charity.

• Support the Head of Finance and Governance with relevant Trustee checks and forms, ensuring compliance with Companies House and Charities Commission.

• Ensure collection of annual related parties records and ensure all documentation is filed electronically.

• Collate monthly quarterly Global Board updates, liaising closely with SMT.

Role Description

This new role of Programme Officer (Social Change) will play an integral part in ensuring our grant making has the best possible impact. Working with the Programme Manager (Social Change) and the wider Impact Team, you will be the first point of contact for potential grant applicants and deliver effective processes that ensure that anyone who applies to us for funding has a positive experience, whether they are successful or not. Administering grant processes:

· Working with the Programme Manager (Social Change) to update application and guidance forms for each funding round

· Work closely with colleagues to set up the grant call in our online grant management system.

· Provide guidance to potential applicants and respond to their queries, e.g. about eligibility.

· Work with colleagues who run the research funding programme to ensure that opportunities for efficiencies and shared processes are maximised

We oversee policies, processes and systems so that it is easy and enjoyable for people to do their best work. That means making sure everyone has what they need to do their jobs. You will manage queries, provide basic IT and financial support, support recruitment and make sure people have a good experience whether they are starting or leaving us. Job Definition

Women in Prison is a national, women-led, feminist organisation. We deliver front line support to women harmed by the criminal justice system, through our work in prisons, in the community and ‘through the prison gate’ as they resettle back into their communities. JOB PURPOSE

The role will support the research activities of Start Network and its programmes and initiatives.

Working within the Evidence & Learning team, the Research Officer will conduct research, interpret data and communicate findings across of a range of programmes and initiatives which support evidencing the impact and learning of Start Network activities. These could involve supporting in the design and administration of data collection projects; as well as cleaning, processing, and analysing primary data and literature and desk reviews. The successful applicant will require basic research skills and additional skills will be learned on the job through guidance provided by the other members of the Evidence & Learning team.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

Research

• Lead and support with undertaking research, including desk reviews, conducting landscape analyses and literature reviews using a range of materials and sources, including online platforms.

• Support with the design and implementation of data collection tools for primary data (e.g., surveys, focus group discussions, and in-depth interviews) and secondary data collection.

• Work with both qualitative and quantitative data, including interview transcription, data cleaning, processing, and analysis.

• Support key teams with research and analysis for their programme and initiative areas.

• Work with a range of staff across key initiatives to formulate and test research ideas.

• Assist with managing and supporting external consultants

• Support with Presenting Research Findings

• Develop, and co-develop, technical reports, PowerPoint presentations, and other written pieces for a range of audiences and platforms, both internally and externally.

• Create relevant graphics and visualisations to present qualitative and quantitative information.

• Present, and work alongside others to present, information to a range of key stakeholders including donors, Start Network member organisations and academics in formal and informal settings.

Information Management

• Work alongside others in the team to establish and maintain libraries of relevant information related to stakeholders and partners.

• Create tools related to information management (e.g., informed consent forms) and in obtaining consent and permissions for various research projects and products from member representatives and other key stakeholders.
