About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity to for an experienced Finance Operations Manager to join our team based at our Head Office in Abbots Leigh. This key role is responsible for ensuring the efficiency, accuracy and compliance of all day-to-day financial operations for both Freeways and Freeways Trust.

You’ll lead a small finance administration team, oversee financial processing and play a pivotal role in maintaining the integrity of our financial systems and controls.

As this role includes direct line management responsibilities, it requires the successful candidate to be based in the office for a minimum of 75% of their working time to provide effective leadership, mentoring and day-to-day support to the team. Ample free parking is available on site.

As part of our Finance Team, you will:

 

· ensure the integrity and accuracy of financial information across both organisations

· oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable and cashbook processes

· line manage and develop the finance administration team, fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture

· ensure accurate and timely processing of all transactions to support effective management reporting

· support the Finance Business Partner with the production of monthly management accounts and balance sheet reconciliations

· lead preparation for annual audits and ensure compliance with financial controls

· contribute to the continuous improvement of finance systems, processes and reporting

About You

You will be a part-qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA) or have equivalent experience at a similar level. With a strong background in financial operations and systems, you’ll bring excellent leadership, communication and problem-solving skills. Experience within the charity or public sector is desirable.

You will also have:

· Proficiency in MS Office, especially Excel

· Experience with computerised accounting systems (e.g. Access Financials, Dimensions)

· A commitment to continuous improvement and high standards of financial governance

· The ability to work collaboratively with both finance and non-finance colleagues

We are seeking an experienced Tax Accountant to join our Finance team, supporting the Head of Global Controllers and Deputy Financial Controller in ensuring charity tax compliance across the organisation. 
 
Key responsibilities would include:

• Preparation and submission of VAT and Corporation Tax returns
• Providing expert tax advice and design - Monitoring tax developments and advising teams and senior leaders on complex charity tax matters
• Maintaining and reviewing tax processes and systems

You will be a Chartered Tax Advisor or a qualified accountant with experience of partial exemption and reverse charge VAT and of providing tax advice in the charity sector.

Treasury and Cash Manager | 12-months | £500 - £600 per day (Inside IR35) | UK - Remote

For a large, complex international organisation which operates in more than 80 currencies with over 80 banking partners in 100+ countries, we're recruiting an Interim Cash, Risk and Treasury Manager. Reporting to the Corporate Treasurer, this role will implement all aspects of corporate treasury policy, processes, controls, analysis and investment strategies including cash management, financing and investment activities, risk management, and loss prevention. The interim Treasury Manager will build relationships with banks and will identify ways to improve in-country banking and repatriation of cash, including liquidity, cash forecasting, and debt management.

Main Duties:

• Manage the banking platforms and processes including the European zero balancing cash pool
• Optimise cash-flow and improve cash flow forecasting across the business, optimising investment income and work in partnership with Shared Services, and Country Finance teams
• Support the identification and releasing of trapped cash overseas, working with in-country colleagues and the Tax and Status team as well as Financial Control
• Manage the Foreign Currency liquidity requirements
• Support the development and implementation of Treasury Management Policy and controls
• Support the development and implementation of long-term investment strategy aiming to optimise deposit interest income
• Develop partnerships with banks and financial institutions to ensure all banking arrangements are fit for purpose
• Lead and support change in treasury activities and provide business units with advice on commercial matters

Person Specification:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Support the Finance team in delivering accurate and timely financial processing and reporting. Where allocated, this role focuses on income and expenditure transactions, financial controls, reconciliations, and customer and supplier support, while providing cross-functional support across the Finance department to ensure continuity and compliance.

Some, or all of, the tasks below will be allocated to this role, assisted by the Senior Finance Assistants and supervised by the Financial Controller.

Daily monitoring of income and payments inboxes and related correspondences, support the end-to-end process, record and amend income and payments information in financial and other databases, and provide support on related banking queries.

Work alongside income teams in invoicing, receipting payments, issuing statements, allocating income, approving refunds and onwards union fee disbursements. Support query resolution, and monitor unallocated cash and union fees.

Process and record supplier BACS and other payments efficiently and accurately, and in accordance with accounting procedures. Record payment transactions in the finance database, including cash allocation and currency conversions. Support internal teams and meetings in relation to delegate prepaid cards, including processing transactions, issuing new cards and stopping or cancelling cards as required. Support the prepaid card platform, ensuring all records are kept up-to-date and centrally located to assist colleagues.

Assist in processing expense claims in line with policy. Process transactions for employee cash claims and corporate credit card purchases, issue new cards and stop or cancel cards as required.

Support month and year-end close processes, reporting, reconciliations and audit.

Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures and controls, and support the design and implementation of new systems, policies, and processes within the Finance team responsibilities

ABOUT YOU 

We are looking for a highly numerate and organised individual with a strong ethical approach. The ideal candidate will have:

Essential criteria:

• Experience: Processing invoices, payments, other transactions and financial information.
• IT proficiency: Advanced Excel and intermediate Word skills. Must have practical experience with complex finance databases (e.g., Sage, Oracle, SAP), reporting tools, and expense claim systems.
• Personal attributes: High levels attention to detail, accuracy and efficiency, and the organisational skills to meet tight deadlines. Willingness and ability to learn new responsibilities and adapt to evolving processes. Must be fluent in English.
• Flexibility: Willingness to adapt working hours during periods of high demand to ensure deadlines are met.

Desirable criteria:

• Experience in a membership-based or international organisation.
• Familiarity with a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) database or similar.
• Knowledge of multi-currency transactions and international banking procedures.

About RSPCA North West London & South Hertfordshire

The Role

We are looking for a Manager with a passion for animal welfare, who will contribute to our mission of rescuing, rehabilitating, and re-homing animals in need.

About the Role

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Finance Business Partner to join our Finance Team based at our Head Office in Abbots Leigh.

Reporting to the Finance Director, this is a key role providing financial insight, analysis and advice to support informed decision-making and drive financial performance across both Freeways and Freeways Trust.

A key part of the role is the preparation of accurate and timely monthly management accounts and analysis for both charities, ensuring the information produced is clear, insightful and supports effective financial management and reporting. You will lead in the financial planning, monitoring and performance reporting for Freeways Trust.

You will also support the Finance Director with strategic financial planning, long-term forecasting and the development of the financial and strategic estates plan for both organisations. Working in a strong, collaborative relationship with the Finance Operations Manager, you’ll help ensure the integrity of financial reporting and the alignment between operational finance and business planning.

In this role, you will:

 

· produce accurate, timely and insightful monthly management accounts and reports for both Freeways and Freeways Trust

· lead the financial planning, monitoring and reporting for Freeways Trust, including reporting at Board level

· support the Finance Director in developing long-term financial and strategic estate plans for both charities

· partner with senior managers and budget holders to provide expert financial analysis and advice

· work closely with the Finance Operations Manager to maintain strong controls and alignment across financial systems and processes

· coach and support non-financial managers to strengthen their financial understanding and decision-making

· oversee payroll activity and ensure compliance with internal controls

· identify and lead improvements to financial reporting and planning processes

About You

You will be a qualified accountant (ACCA, CIMA, ACA or CIPFA) with at least three years post-qualification experience, or able to demonstrate equivalent experience at a similar level. You will have excellent analytical and communication skills, a proactive approach and the ability to influence decisions through sound financial insight.

About Us

Freeways is a charity which has been in operation since 1987 and employs approximately 300 staff. We run a number of residential (care) homes, supported living flats and community support across Bristol, Bath and North East Somerset, South Gloucestershire and North Somerset supporting adults with learning disabilities. Our Head Office in Abbots Leigh is co-located with a day centre and hydrotherapy pool. Finance Business Partner 

Finance Business Partner – Enabling & Strategic Investments (18-Month Fixed Term Contract) London, Peterborough or Hybrid 

At Mencap, we’re passionate about changing the lives of people with a learning disability. We’re looking for a proactive and insightful Finance Business Partner to support our enabling operational departments & strategic projects.

You’ll be part of a collaborative Finance Business Partnering team of eight, providing financial insight and support to Mencap’s enabling functions – including IT, People, CEO Office, and Finance – as well as key org-wide strategic projects. This role offers the opportunity to make a real impact by helping senior leaders understand their financial position, make informed decisions, and help deliver the charity’s objectives.

What you’ll do

• Partner with senior stakeholders and project managers to deliver clear, insightful financial analysis and reports.
• Lead monthly finance reviews with budget holders, providing expert advice and challenge to drive sound decision-making.
• Support the creation of accurate budgets and forecasts, ensuring financial plans are realistic and aligned to organisational goals.
• Identify trends, risks, and opportunities through critical review of results and proactive financial insight.
• Collaborate closely with the wider Finance Team to ensure strong financial control, compliance, and accurate reporting.
• Use your analytical and problem-solving skills to spot issues, improve processes, and drive continuous improvement.

What we’re looking for

• Experience in management accounting, business partnering, or financial planning and analysis.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills, with the ability to interpret and present complex information clearly.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills – able to build relationships and explain financials to non-finance colleagues.
• Ideally, part-qualified or working towards a professional accounting qualification (ACCA, CIMA, ACA) or equivalent experience.
• Charity or not-for-profit experience, and familiarity with Power BI, would be an advantage.

As a Treasury and Accounts Receivable Officer at Alzheimer's Society, you'll be critical to our ability to deliver a highly efficient, high-performing, data-led financial transactions service.

About the opportunity

As Treasury and Accounts Receivable Officer within our Finance & Assurance directorate, you'll be at the heart of our financial operations. Ensuring we have the cash flow, systems, and processes that keep the Society running smoothly. This isn't a back-office role; you'll be a highly visible partner working across directorates, building relationships that drive better financial practice and performance throughout the organisation.

You'll lead our Accounts Receivable function and manage our treasury operations. From invoice generation and debt recovery to cash flow forecasting and banking relationships. Using data and metrics as your tools, you'll drive performance improvements while developing our Accounts Assistants team. Your ability to balance rigorous financial control with collaborative partnership will be essential as you help the Society maintain the financial health needed to end the devastation of dementia.

About you:

You're an experienced finance professional who understands that efficient financial transactions are the foundation that allows a charity to maximise its impact. You're passionate about using metrics and data to drive performance, and you can translate complex financial information into clear, practical guidance for diverse audiences. You thrive on continuous improvement and bring fresh thinking to everything you do.

You'll have:

- Experience developing and motivating teams, particularly those early in their careers or undertaking professional qualifications, using a high challenge, high support approach.
- Proven track record in end-to-end financial transactional processes in a large, complex organisation.
- Experience driving quality and performance improvement through data analysis, engaging multiple teams to achieve results.
- Good communication and influencing skills, with proven ability to build effective cross-departmental relationships with budget holders and business partners.
- Experience maintaining fastidious financial records and reports, identifying issues, and developing effective solutions.
- Proficiency in MS Office (particularly Excel) with strong ability to analyse, interpret and present data effectively.
- Understanding of financial accounting systems and how they integrate.
- Training and support to achieve professional qualifications may be offered to the successful candidate. As such, no formal qualifications are essential.

What you’ll focus on:

- Leading and developing our Accounts Assistants, creating a culture of high challenge, high support, and continuous improvement.
- Managing end-to-end accounts receivable processes - from invoice generation and account reconciliation to debt recovery and customer service.
- Owning and reporting on key AR and treasury performance metrics, using data to drive improvements across the Society.
- Monitoring cash position, forecasting cash flow, and managing relationships with financial institutions to support strategic decision-making.
- Streamlining processes and strengthening controls, proactively identifying risks, inefficiencies, and solutions.
