This role is based in our Glasgow (Hamilton)  site a minimum of 3-days per week, occasional visits to our Forfar site will be a part of this role as will travel across Scotland to support Volunteer events. This is a full-time position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

As Operations Volunteering Experience Coordinator, you’ll play a key role in ensuring that volunteers in operations-based roles feel valued, prepared, and supported throughout their journey. Working closely with internal teams, you’ll coordinate recruitment, training, and engagement efforts that enhance the volunteer experience and contribute to the smooth running of essential services.

You’ll oversee the flow of volunteers into operations-based roles, ensuring they are matched effectively to support Guide Dogs’ canine, children, and adult services. Working in collaboration with service and volunteering colleagues, you’ll support planning and resource allocation to ensure volunteer programmes align with national and local needs.

By ensuring volunteers receive comprehensive training and induction, you’ll help them build confidence in their roles. You’ll coordinate face-to-face and virtual induction sessions, facilitate ongoing training opportunities, and provide regular communication to ensure volunteers remain engaged and informed.

A key part of your role will involve monitoring and evaluating the volunteer journey, gathering feedback and insights to improve processes and experiences. You’ll manage volunteer data and compliance, ensuring records are accurate and up to date. Additionally, you’ll support the recognition and celebration of volunteers, helping to coordinate award events and initiatives that highlight the incredible contributions of those who give their time.

To excel in this role, you’ll have experience managing and supporting volunteers, ensuring they have a positive and rewarding experience. You’ll be confident in advising on best practices and processes, with the ability to build strong relationships across different teams.

Strong organisation and communication skills are essential in this role, as well as the ability to problem-solve and handle enquiries efficiently. We have just secured national funding for the first time for the VOICE Project and are looking for a Senior VOICE Practitioner to lead development and expansion of the programme.

While experience in therapeutic settings is valuable, this role is not focused on therapeutic delivery. We are seeking someone who thrives on group facilitation, co-production, and activism - someone who understands the power of connection and is passionate about shaping wider systems and influencing national change.

Purpose of the job

The Green House’s VOICE change-making project aims to support young survivors and their family members to lead social change through creativity. Together, we aim to create national systemic change around child sexual abuse. Our approach recognises the inherent strengths and possibility of all young people. We develop creative spaces where young people can connect with their community, grow beyond traumatic experiences and learn to lead services like ours, alongside social change. We see creative change-making and connecting those with lived experience together as imperative to healing. It is the hope for change that helps young people and their families to learn to live a whole life alongside traumatic experiences and step into their potential.

The VOICE Project has two workstreams: Young People’s VOICE and Parent/Carer VOICE. We work with young people to deliver a creative arts leadership programme (6 weekly group), alongside creative drop-in spaces, individual projects and paid-for mentorship opportunities. We work with our Parent/Carer VOICE group to deliver monthly group sessions, parent-led drop-in spaces and individual projects. The VOICE Project also leads our national child sexual abuse (CSA) practitioner network.

The role

You'll be responsible for your own caseload of legal cases as well as working with senior members of the team to partner with the business to resolve more complex legal cases and provide strategic input, including but not limited to:

• Managing legal processes for statutory Right to Acquire and statutory Preserved Right to Buy applications received by SNG. This includes all eligibility, drafting of all statutory notices and the entire conveyancing process.
• Carrying out legal work required for asset management of a shared ownership property portfolio including, acting for the landlord on staircasing of shared ownership leases; dealing with repossessions of shared ownership leases; acting on assignments of shared ownership leases – to include transfers of the superior title on 100% staircasing when required
• Advising on an extensive range of property matters involving leasehold estates, whether SNG is landlord or leaseholder, including service charge provisions and legislation, understanding the extent of obligations, tenancy breach, replies to enquiries, etc
• Carrying out legal reviews of title, planning, estate documents and leases to provide reports and advice on the above.

What we're looking for

You'll need previous experience in a similar legal role, with experience in legal matters relating to Property. We need you to have transactional experience but experience of portfolio asset management is desirable.  We will provide training on aspects of property law work that are less commonly carried out where you may not have dealt with previously eg Right to Buy/Acquire rules.

You'll also need:

• To hold a valid Practising Certificate (or equivalent) to ensure you can carry out Reserved Work as defined by the Solicitors Regulation Authority, as well as be responsible for the supervision of members of the team who are not qualified to undertake Reserved Work
• 2 years + PQE working within a law firm, in-house legal department, housing association or local authority and managing own legal caseload of similar cases
• Strong understanding of Landlord and Tenant law and substantial experience of drafting Transfers of Whole Part and residential leases
• Excellent planning skills with the ability to prioritise your work and able to meet the demands of statutory timescales
• Strong commercial awareness and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to develop strong working relationships within the Legal team, with internal clients and other third-party stakeholders
• Ability to exercise good judgment and discretion

What the role involves

1. Ensuring that there are regular training opportunities for both new starters and those requiring refresher sessions or updates when new functions or forms are released. 6. Support the Data Reporting and System Support Lead with regards to user administration and user support at times of absence and increased need

7. Working with the Learning and Development Coordinator to support the creation of e-learning training modules for our LMS (currently RISE) Acting at all times in line with safeguarding legislation and guidance in addition to Safer London’s practice guidelines and wider pan-London processes and protocols.

8. Undertaking any other duties as required and commensurate with the level of this post, including covering the Data Reporting and CRS support lead post functions when relevant.

1. Supporting all aspects of the day-to-day running of the programme to ensure the clubs have high standards of service delivery.

2. Supporting the FOOD Club Coordinator to carry out regular compliance checks to ensure the quality and safety of the service, in order to protect service users and Family Action.

3. Ensuring all aspects of the role are carried out in line with food safety/hygiene standards.

4. Ensure volunteers are using up-to-date allergies forms to prevent any risk to service users.

5. Support the FOOD Club Coordinator with financial checks, stock control, recruitment, induction and training of volunteers.

6. Recording accurate data to enable the FOOD Club Coordinator to report on KPIs, including uptake of the scheme, service user income, and the positive financial impact on families.

7. Encourage regular attendance at FOOD Clubs to ensure income is maintained and to prevent food wastage.

8. Provide regular feedback to the FOOD Club Coordinator on the quality of food and resources from suppliers.

As an experienced Project Manager, you will be responsible for leading on key organisational projects, driving deadlines and delivering excellence in our products and services. Working with colleagues across the organisation you will facilitate open and inclusive communication, maintain high attention to detail; close control of budgets; and manage change control.

What you will do:

• Act as Project Manager across concurrent projects that span the work of RCUK.
• Drive consistent standards of project management across teams, including clinical, technical and engagement projects
• Champion RCUK established project management process and governance requirements with colleagues
• Advise on best practice and drive continuous process improvement.
• Maintain project documentation in collaboration with project teams.
• Report to Project Board.
• Champion collaborative, open and inclusive engagement with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain tight control of project budgets, working in collaboration with Finance, and taking responsibility for project spend.
• Ensure a risk-based approach is adopted through the project lifecycle, ensuring a suitable level of mitigation is in place and under constant review.
• Escalate concerns as appropriate.
• Monitor and review appropriate performance indicators and report outcomes.

The post is hybrid working and based in London.  The successful candidate is expected to attend the office a minimum of one day per week.

Palliative care for children aged 0–18 is delivered at Acorns’ hospices in Birmingham, Worcester, and Walsall, as well as in family homes and other community settings. FearFree delivers services across the Southwest for victims, children and perpetrators of domestic abuse, sexual violence and stalking with the aim to break the cycle of abuse and support all to live free from fear. We provide trauma responsive support, and this post will be fundamental to ensuring service users, stakeholders and partners experience this in our daily delivery.

This exciting post will be working with children who have experienced or been affected by domestic abuse and sexual violence. Focusing on standard and medium risk cases, this role will provide practical and emotional support to children and young people, whilst working proactively with other professionals, with an emphasis on early intervention and awareness raising.

FearFree is committed to flexible and hybrid working and this role will be a mix of home based and office based, alongside requiring travel for multi-agency meetings and other deliverables. 

This role may include evening and weekend work when required.

Key Responsibilities 

• Manage a caseload of low to high risk children and young people, predominantly through face to face appointments but also utilising virtual technologies and group work.

• Plan, recruit and deliver group work interventions for children and young people alongside colleagues. 

• Complete an initial assessment of the child’s needs so that you can identify and plan the support needed to address issues and prevent any problems from escalating. 

• Assess the needs of the child and devise appropriate support and safety plans with due regard to the dynamic nature of risk. 

• Proactively engage with children and young people affected by DA/SV by providing therapeutic sessions tailed to their needs in where they are in their recovery journey. 

• Risk assess and follow FearFree safety procedures to ensure personal safety and that of service users and other staff at all times. 

• Actively support carers and parents in how to support their CYP affected by trauma. This may include working together to ensure the child is support at every stage in their recovery journey. 

• Respond to emergencies and crises with a focus on the child’s wellbeing and safeguarding. 

• Provide child-centred, trauma responsive support to all your cases taking in considering different learning needs, to empower the young person to make informed choices. 

• Enable service users to participate in the design, delivery and evaluation of services. 

• Keeping the child’s voice central to all support and decision making wherever possible: taking the time to talk through and work with the individual child’s understanding around safeguarding and why we need to share certain things. 

• Act as duty officer, responding to incoming calls, logging referrals and making assigned outgoing calls, according to the duty rota.

• Work effectively within a multi-agency framework, consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse and sexual violence, in order to reduce the risk for service users and their families.

• Be proactive with your line manager to carry out periodic case reviews. 

• Respect and value the diversity of the community in which the services work in, and recognise the needs and concerns of a diverse range of survivors ensuring the service is accessible to all. 

General

• Give information and support to service users regarding their other needs and refer them to other support services as required.

• Engage with case management supervision, reflective practice and clinical supervision as required, taking an active role in managing own wellbeing and supporting the wellbeing of your colleagues. 

• Support colleagues in all services across FearFree as required. 

• Support the sustainability of the organization by participating in fundraising activities and sharing ideas and contacts for income generation.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

This post-holder will be responsible for fulfilling the following duties:

• Good medical care: Provide a clinical assessment, including relevant psychiatric and
  physical investigation, of a wide range of substance misusers presenting to the service.
• Review and Monitor: patients’ treatment progress (including results of urinalysis and other laboratory investigations). 
• Documenting: To keep accurate appropriate and up-to-date medical and administrative documentation including computer records.
• Specialist Assessments: Provide specialist prescribing assessments to opiate, stimulant, tranquilizer, barbiturate and alcohol dependent clients. 
• Working with others: Attend multidisciplinary meetings, promoting the nomination of named link workers and actively supporting the implementation of integrated care pathways.
• Represent Change Grow Live: Represent the service at a range of meetings with other
  professionals and agencies in order to evaluate, monitor and develop treatment services for substance misusers and minimise barriers to treatment.
• Maintaining good medical practice: participate in continuing professional development, annual appraisal and revalidation and to join appropriate supervision and PDP groups for the role.

About You:

• Medical Degree and completion of Basic Medical Training.
• Full GMC-UK Registration with License to Practice.
• Experience in delivering evidence based treatments in Substance Misuse 
• Good knowledge of addiction psychiatry and legislation relating to Mental Health 
• Demonstrable ability to work independently with minimal consultant supervision.
• Experience in a multi-disciplinary team setting and with other agencies.
• Evidence of participation in Clinical Audit.
• Experience in working with substance misuse and mental health issues.
