The Stewardship and Events team, with the Senior Stewardship and Events Manager leading, plays an important role in transforming our high value fundraising through the development of transformative funding propositions, high profile fundraising and stewardship events and the creation of the highest quality stewardship tools.

This role will be a crucial part of the High Value Partnerships leadership team and represents a fantastic opportunity to support the growth and development of our major donor, trust and statutory and corporate partnerships portfolios.

About You

You will have experience of building compelling cases for support, bids and partnership concepts specifically for major donors, companies and grant funders. You will have a flair for translating complex information into simple concise and compelling communications in a range of formats. You will also have excellent attention to detail, with experience of interpreting financial and impact data.

You will have experience in developing a special events programme to support engagement and high value fundraising; understanding the importance of events within high value stewardship plans.

Your excellent relationship building, influencing and negotiation skills combined with your experience of working with a range of internal teams and external stakeholders will ensure that the needs of our high value funding audiences are met and understood.

You will be a highly experienced people manager and leader, possessing strong relationship and project management skills. You will have excellent organisational skills and the ability to work across a number of conflicting deadlines and priorities. You will ideally be able to demonstrate fundraising experience and previous experience of working with high net worth individuals and committees is advantageous.

Flexible, proactive and enthusiastic, you will have excellent communication and influencing skills, and be comfortable adapting confidently to a wide variety of social settings. 

About the Role

As Senior Stewardship and Events Manager, you will be leading on the creation of ambitious funding propositions which will be attractive to high value donors and funders, working with key stakeholders from across the organisation to fully understand our existing services and transformational projects; translating complex information into compelling cases for support to be used by our High Value Partnerships team in funding applications, pitches and proposals. You will work closely with Recovery Services, Data and Insights and Finance teams to ensure all relevant information is gathered and reporting and evaluation processes are in place.

Working with your team and the wider High Value Partnerships team you will develop a special events programme to support engagement and fundraising, as well as leading on the development of developing engaging and relevant donor and prospect communications. You will work alongside the High Value Events Officer and other High Value Partnerships Senior Managers to conceptualise, plan and deliver a range of event types, offering a variety of activities to engage and inspire high value supporters, and ensure they are connected to, and inspired by, the work of Help for Heroes.

You will support our relationship management teams across High Value Partnerships to embed and further develop the high value stewardship strategy to ensure those who support Help for Heroes at the highest levels enjoy an exceptional supporter experience.

Headway is seeking a new Justice Programme Manager who will expand the current services to have a greater impact on police and probation services, improving knowledge and understanding and the support offenders with brain injuries receive.
We want someone who can both oversee the existing projects, such as our brain injury ID cards, whilst expanding the services in line with our new strategy, due to launch in the summer of 2024.

What will you do:

• Develop and implement a strategy for Headway’s work within the criminal justice system.
• Work with and develop key relationships across, police, probation services to improve knowledge and systems for offenders with brain injuries.
• Develop new justice related projects, including working with Headway’s fundraising team, to generate new income to expand the services.
• Work with the network of local Headway charities, to expand their work, within the justice system.
• Manage and deliver Headway’s justice related training initiatives.
• Oversee the successful delivery of Headway UK’s Brain Injury ID Card, including the line management of the project lead.

About you

Job Title: Partnership Development Manager

Salary: £34,500.

Contract Type: Contract for 18 months; there is a strong possibility that currently anticipated growth in the team may see this role become permanent during the contract term. Full time (35 hours per week) although flexible hours may be considered; the role may require occasional evening and weekend work  

Working location: Home based. The post holder should expect to come into the office a minimum of two days per month, with the possibility of up to five days per month being routinely required.

BACKGROUND   

The latest research suggesting that the number of children and young people at risk of hunger has rocketed to three million means that one in five children don't have enough to eat.   

When a child is too hungry to learn, when they’re aching for something to eat, they can’t concentrate. They can’t absorb information. Big feelings and worries can be impossible to control. They fall behind in their studies.  

Magic Breakfast provide a nutritious and filling breakfast to over 200,000 children and young people every school day. We work with schools in areas of high disadvantage, helping staff target the children most in need without barrier or stigma.   

Magic Breakfast are ambitious to grow our impact in order to remove hunger as a barrier to learning for all children and young people in the UK. To do this, we need to continue to grow our fundraised income, of which new corporate income is a significant element.

JOB INFORMATION

We are seeking candidates who are after the next step in their fundraising journey. You will already have strong credentials and be ready to start your journey into Partnership Management which will include leading in delivering the new business plan and working closely with colleagues in the Partnership Development team and across the organisation to identify, create and secure new strategic, multi-year corporate partnerships

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES 

• Building a pipeline that reflects Magic Breakfast’s restricted and unrestricted funding needs, including Gift in Kind requirements, working with the Partnership Research Executive to research and identify prospects with potential.  
• Making use of multiple tactics to secure meetings with prospects including, for example, cold calling, emailing, running events, event networking and social selling on platforms like LinkedIn.
• Ensuring that risk-screening and due diligence processes have been completed in line with Magic Breakfast’s Ethical Fundraising and Due Diligence policies. 
• Understanding each prospect’s strategic interests through meetings, discussions and research and defining the mutual advantage in partnership. 
• Developing and delivering engaging, relevant and impactful pitches and written proposals to prospective partners.

Why Access Social Care Exists

Everyday millions of older and disabled people are denied the social care they need. Most local authorities can’t meet the growing demand for care, none are confident they can meet their legal duties in the future. This affects all of us, we will all need social care at some point.

We all have a right to hold public bodies to account. But most of us cannot afford lawyers so rely on legal aid. The 77% drop in community care legal aid cases since 2010 means we have nowhere to turn. Without access to justice, our rights do not exist. The rule of law is broken.

What we do

Access Social Care provides free legal advice and information for people with social care needs, helping achieve a better quality of life. We work with communities to increase knowledge of the law and our rights. We highlight the gap left by cuts to Legal Aid and provide advice for those who can’t afford it.

With a 98% success rate, our network of lawyers and barristers ensure fair access to justice when things go wrong. We collaborate with social services whilst ensuring legal obligations are met. We are working towards a future where social care is adequately funded, and we all get the support we need.

About the role

This is an exciting time to join our organisation. We have a new strategy and are growing quickly including across our senior leadership team. We have nearly tripled in size and income since we started operating in April 2020 and we anticipate that this strong growth will continue for the duration of our next strategic period. Access Social Care are an organisation of thirty-six people, and this is a new role in the People team coming at a period of growth to drive a thriving charity and help shape its future.

This is a fast-paced role whose emphasis is on policy / process / systems improvement as well as advising colleagues and managers across the organisation regarding all aspects of the employee lifecycle. You will work with people at all levels of the organisation supporting the People Director on strategy work streams as the organisation continues to grow and evolve.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all day-to-day HR processes within the employee lifecycle to ensure staff are supported appropriately and legislative responsibilities are fulfilled
• Work alongside the People Director to map or review processes across the employee lifecycle, identify blockers and seek to implement solutions that create efficiency and clarity 
• Advise on employee relations and discuss complex or sensitive cases with the People Director to decide the best course of action, ensuring that cases are resolved in a timely manner or be a trusted advisor to our managers with their people challenges

• Provide practical upskilling and training to managers and employees in HR practices and policy
• Coordinate recruitment efforts at Access Social Care, ensuring compliance with employment laws and providing guidance to managers. Manage the recruitment cycle and administration process from job ads to onboarding
• Support staff engagement activities across Access Social Care in conjunction with the People Director. These may include but are not limited to the following initiatives: staff survey coordination, and wellbeing events
• To be a super user and actively promote the use of the HRIS system (Bright HR) and ensure that electronic staffing records are updated and maintained accurately in accordance with GDPR
• Dealing with cyclical and ad-hoc data reporting and requests for information including data analysis
• Contribute to effective payroll administration ensuing information is shared with the Finance Officer in a timely manner, and collaborating with the People Director to address and rectify any issues and process improvements
• Work within the parameters of GDPR, ensuring data and information is protected and handled correctly

This is a new role for Clatterbridge Cancer Charity as we look to expand our successful Individual Giving & Lottery programmes.

he Fundraising Officer will work as part of the Fundraising team and focus on delivering income targets from trusts and foundations. The role is responsible for growing LDCT’s trust and foundation income by increasing the amount and longevity of funding from current supporters, as well as building a portfolio of new trusts and foundations through research, maintaining a pipeline of prospects, updating the Funding Matrix and making successful applications. Building good relationships with new funders including regular reporting, as well as good stewardship of existing funders, is an important part of the role.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

1. Delivering on fundraising priorities and targets for trusts and foundations income, including our current and future major appeals.
2. Researching, identifying, and prioritising appropriate trusts and foundations to maintain and convert a pipeline of new, prospective trusts and foundations.
3. Working with colleagues across the organisation to help shape projects for funding and creating strong Cases for Support to ensure effective applications.
4. Writing and submitting high quality targeted funding applications.
5. Maintaining an effective stewardship programme for trusts and foundations including appropriate accurate records, ensuring the fundraising e-Tapestry database is kept up-todate and that fundraising income is processed efficiently with timely thank you letters and acknowledgements.
6. Managing relationships with existing and new funders to encourage maximum funding, multi-year funding awards and repeat funding.
7. Monitoring outcomes, updating the Funding Matrix and producing timely reports and information as required externally by funders and internally for Management reporting.
8. Promoting the support of funders through press releases and social media posts.
9. Adhering to standards of fundraising best practise as set out in the Institute of Fundraising’s Code of Practise and ensuring all activities comply with relevant Data Protection obligations and any other legislation

Contract - Permanent - following 6 months probation

We’re looking for a Senior Digital Engagement Manager to head up our Digital Team, taking the lead on driving forward the organisation’s digital marketing and communications. You’ll work with the Head of Marketing and Communications to develop and deliver the digital elements of the wider marketing and communications strategy, and line manage senior officers who lead the operations and development of our website, social media, email marketing and paid advertising activities.

All parts of the Church will need to raise funds to implement this net zero plan. In 2024 and 2025, the Church of England is testing and piloting a range of approaches to help churches fundraise for projects. Our feasibility study identified that statutory sources of funding, currently under-accessed will be a new area of opportunity for churches, schools and housing to access.

The Giving Directorate is leading on the strategy to coordinate and support the plans being developed by our dioceses, churches, cathedrals, schools, and departments. In addition, The Giving Directorate and NetZero Programme Team will be engaging with funders at a national level to secure investment for projects.

Job Summary:

As Net Zero Carbon Statutory Fundraising Coordinator, you will work in The Giving Directorate and operate across the whole Church with a focus on supporting parishes and dioceses to access statutory funds. You will share your knowledge and insight to support with identifying, researching and applying to funding from a range of government sources. You will develop and maintain resources, guidance and training and help share best practice across the country, as well as working with regional fundraisers. With a range of projects and fundraising initiatives, the post holder will work collaboratively within The Giving Directorate and with the Net Zero Programme Team, with diocesan colleagues and with church volunteers.

The role:

Main responsibilities

• Develop a national plan to secure statutory funding at parish and diocesan level
• Acting as a central point of coordination between the schools, housing and parish fundraising workstreams to oversee statutory funding
• Working specifically with the Regional Fundraising Officer in the north west cluster of dioceses to identify and support applications to statutory funding sources by parishes
• Working with Net Zero Implementation Manager to support statutory funding applications for clergy housing
• Building capacity in dioceses to support senior staff (incl. Bishops) to use their networks to identify relevant statutory funding opportunities (e.g. mayors, local council leadership, police and crime commissioners etc)
• Supporting dioceses to think creatively about packaging projects up a) between parishes, b) between parishes, schools and clergy housing, c) across deaneries.
• Leading consortia of dioceses to apply for funding if available and supporting applications
• Building a hub of best practice and shared learning which will include designing and delivering training to staff and volunteers at all levels
• Sharing statutory funding opportunities across the Church of England, Net Zero Carbon, Giving, and Fundraising networks and with Cathedrals

The ideal candidate:

To be successful, you will need experience of securing statutory funding for projects and of other aspects of fundraising. You will need to be a very strong self-motivator and initiator as the job requires an ability to work across a wide geographical area on a diverse range of projects. Experience managing projects would also be useful. You will be an excellent trainer and communicator.

Due to the specialist nature of the roles within The Giving Directorate, training will be provided to successful candidates to enable them to carry out their role confidently.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level, or equivalent/relevant experience.
• Membership of the Chartered Institute of Fundraising

Experience

Essential:

• Experience in securing funding from statutory funders
• Success in securing five and six-figure gifts
• Experience of other types of grants and trust fundraising in a paid capacity
• Experience of working successfully in multi-disciplinary teams across departments in a complex organisation.
• Influencing others through communication and strong leadership skills

Desirable:

• Experience of working within the Church sector, either in a paid or voluntary capacity, ideally in relation to giving, fundraising, or church finances.

This is an exciting opportunity to work with stroke survivors and their families to provide Key Worker support following a stroke.

Location: Home-based, Cornwall however, extensive travel will be required as part of this role (May include team meetings or other work-related meetings)

Hours: Full and part-time (1 x 35 hours per week post and 1 x 32 hours per week post)

Salary: Circa £26,700 per annum for full time hours, pro rata for part time hours

The North-West Regional Organised Crime Unit is a collaborative multi agency covert response to tackle serious and organised crime across the North-West Region.

The North West Regional Organised Crime Unit (NWROCU) tackles serious organised crime across the North West region. The NWROCU carries out investigations into serious and organised crime on behalf of police forces in Cheshire, Cumbria, Greater Manchester, Lancashire, Merseyside and North Wales. The lead force for NWROCU is Merseyside Police, with the Assistant Chief Constable of NWROCU reporting into Chief Constable Serena Kennedy.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Senior Finance Business Partner as a fully qualified accountant to provide pro-active professionally qualified support and guidance to budget holders for the financial management of the ROCU. This is an amazing opportunity to work for a regional unit, building close relationships across 6 Regional Forces, Home Office and the ROCU Network. As Merseyside Police are the Lead Force for the collaboration; the NWROCU follow lead force Financial Regulations and the successful post holder will build close working relationships with the Merseyside Finance Department.

Job Description

As a Senior Finance Business Partner you will provide pro-active professionally qualified support and guidance to budget holders for the financial management of the ROCU. Assist the Head of Enabling Services in the provision of a professional financial planning, management and accounting service, maintaining the integrity of NWROCU's financial records, and developing new systems and processes to comply with legislation, with a clear focus on ensuring best use of resources based on sound and demonstrable financial reasoning.

Principal Accountabilities:

• Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with budget holders and senior managers, ensuring that needs of the budget holder are fully satisfied, and SLA's adhered to.
• Responsible for monitoring and reporting upon the financial position of units to relevant stakeholders using appropriate means of communication and methods of financial analysis to ensure an effective and efficient budget management service is provided. This will include attendance at key SLT/Command Team meetings as the finance expert.
• Provision of professional challenge, support and advice to budget holders over a wider range of subjects, with a clear focus on obtaining best value, and best use of resources for the Force. Ensuring compliance with financial regulations
• Review and monitor expenditure on supplies and services; and produce recommendations for improved efficiencies where appropriate for effective financial management of the NWROCU budget.
• Provide assistance with the preparation of the capital programme in order to determine the capital financing requirement of the NWROCU.
• Maintain the asset register and capital accounting records ensuring compliance with relevant legislation.
• Provide technical input in the development of budget monitoring to ensure compliance with relevant legislation and to meet specific requirements of the NWROCU.
• Complete statutory returns and grant claims; prepare appropriate working papers to ensure the maintenance of financial accounts.

The Successful Applicant

The successful candidate will:

• Be a Fully qualified CCAB Accountant.
• Have experience of working within a large and complex financial environment; with specific knowledge and experience of fulfilling a budget management role.
• Have advanced communication skills to deal effectively with a variety of potential stakeholders. This includes the ability to challenge devolved budget managers, and budget holders, present and disseminate financial information effectively to nonfinancial officers, and to present both verbal and written reports to Chief Officers and other stakeholders.
• Well-developed analytical skills, and the ability to pro-actively respond to financial issues as they arise.
