We have an exciting opportunity for a Community Fundraising Officer to join our team, covering the South region. Based within easy reach of our London Head Office, you’ll play a vital role in generating income and building lasting relationships to support families in need.

Our charity

The Sick Children’s Trust is the charity that provides a welcoming ‘Home from Home’ where families with a sick child in hospital can stay. But we’re more than bricks and mortar, our friendly, caring staff are there to support families when they really need it.

Hospital can be a lonely and scary place for anyone, but especially a child. Providing around 3,500 families a year with somewhere to stay together just minutes from the hospital means that they can be by their sick child’s side and have one less thing to worry about.

The Role

This is a varied and rewarding community fundraising role, focused on building strong relationships and delivering income growth across the South.

You will engage and support individuals, schools, community groups and local businesses to fundraise, delivering excellent stewardship and supporter care.

You’ll recruit participants for both ‘run your own’ and third-party events, while developing long-term relationships including with families connected to the charity.

Working collaboratively with House Teams and colleagues, you’ll help increase awareness, manage supporter activity, track income, and maximise opportunities through partnerships and communications.

You’ll also represent the charity at events and within the community.

This role requires a proactive and organised approach, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet income targets.

 About you

 We’re looking for someone who is passionate about community fundraising and motivated by building meaningful relationships.

You will have strong interpersonal and communication skills. You will equally be as comfortable supporting families who stay with us who want to fundraise, as you are presenting to a room full of students, or potential volunteers.

You have good organisational skills and are comfortable working to objectives and targets. You are able to work with a level of autonomy and innovation to develop your fundraising portfolio and to increase our profile particularly in the areas close to our houses.

Ultimately this is a great role for anyone who loves community fundraising and understands that no two days are the same.

We are looking for an experienced, motivated and values‑driven Fundraising and Partnerships Officer to grow our income from trusts, foundations, corporates and individuals. 

Working closely with the CEO, you will play a key role in enabling WSF’s strategic goals by securing sustainable funding, building strong external relationships, and demonstrating the impact of our work. This is a pivotal role for someone who combines strong fundraising expertise with a passion for community development.

The Senior Fundraising Manager is responsible for delivering Brightside’s fundraising activity with a core focus on grants from trusts and foundations, and major donors. Role Purpose

Responsible for helping to ensure the effective delivery of the Regional Fundraising strategy in relation to generating sustainable income from third parties and campaigns. Main Responsibilities

• Support the development and implementation of a fundraising plan to maximise income generation across the designated area, in line with the overall fundraising strategy.
• Build knowledge of Child Bereavement UK supporters in the area and develop a community of supporters who have a tangible relationship with our work.
• Build relationships with individual supporters, community organisations, faith groups, schools and education facilities, regional corporates and challenge event participants.
• Contribute to the development of annual income and expenditure budgets, monitoring results and contributing to regular reforecasts, mitigation and contingency planning to ensure budget is achieved.
• Attract new support and nurture and develop existing support by providing excellent stewardship to maximise supporter journey, value and retention and in-turn income.
• Work alongside the Head of Regional Fundraising and Challenge Event team to develop and promote successful and engaging off-the-shelf fundraising initiatives, campaigns, and challenge events to engage and encourage potential supporters, using research to spot trends and popular initiatives.

First Stage Screening Interviews

Senior Events and Community Fundraising Officer  

Salary: Band C, £32,106 - £38,460 (depending on experience)

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, proactive community and events fundraiser with great project management and relationship building skills. You’ll be responsible for leading on a varied portfolio of fundraising activity, identifying new supporters, stewarding existing supporters and delivering community fundraising products and campaigns. 

Events and Community Fundraising is an established income stream at Breast Cancer UK but we know there is potential to grow, so we’re investing in proactively developing the area. This role is an opportunity for a talented fundraiser - with at least three years of experience working in Challenge Events and/or Community Fundraising and a strong track record of delivering results – to take a lead on these income streams and build something amazing. What do we do? 

In the UK today, around 59,000 women and 420 men are diagnosed with breast cancer every year. 1 in 7 women will develop the disease at some point in their lives. 

But we believe in a future where fewer people have to face this devastating disease - because we know that at least 30% of breast cancer cases are preventable. 

By making changes to modifiable lifestyle and environmental risk factors, we can drive cases down. Our focus on prevention is unique - we are shining a light on the changes we can make at an individual and societal level to prevent breast cancer.

To achieve this, we: 

• Deliver an education programme - empowering individuals with trustworthy, science-backed information and guidance to help them understand and reduce their risk. 
• Fund research into the causes of breast cancer —while significant progress has been made in improving survival rates through new treatments, we are dedicated to ensuring fewer people ever receive a diagnosis.
• Run campaigns - to increase public understanding of the risk factors for breast cancer, such as Endocrine Disrupting Chemicals, and to influence policy-makers and industry, to protect consumers and provide safer alternatives. 

Not all breast cancers can be avoided, but we need a united movement for prevention, to tackle this devastating disease head on. We believe that everyone in society should be able to do something about breast cancer before it happens.

• Helping teams target smarter, engage better, and raise more

• Championing data quality, compliance, and best practice across the team

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has experience in fundraising, nonprofits, or a similar insight-driven environment
• Is confident with CRMs, Excel, and visualisation tools like Power BI
